- Now that the deck lists are our for the new Rise of the Floodborn set I'm taking an in depth look at each deck and giving some insights on the upcoming starter deck challenges.

I agree with you that the queen is by far the best card in the set. Having her in a starter is going to be great for keeping her price down.

I like this deck better than the other starter for Floodborn; I’m excited to see how it shakes out!
Yeah, I think this will be the more expensive starter long term as Queen and Pooh are both quite playable
So with Pooh there are 2 things he is allowing as far as inking. 1) he lets you ink an Uninkable from your hand. 2) the card is played facedown in the inkwell but not exerted, meaning unlike detective Mickey, Gramma tala, or one jump ahead we can use the ink we just played; so on turn 4 we can play a 5 cost card
Correct, he is in line with Fishbone Quill and Belle in that it’s ready to use when he adds to inkwell.
I just bought this deck today. Since I've been thinking about adding my Snow White (well wisher) to the deck. That way, I'm able to keep adding characters from my discard to my hand!
You could also add Perdita or Hades for similar effects!
Very cool to know about some of the cards and hwo they will compliment others.
Yeah sometimes hard to get a feel for the deck just by looking at the cards
Good stuff going on here, and the other being my favorite ink combo (Amethyst & Steel). Going to be a spicy start to the second set!

I am not sure on my like number, maybe #59? Great videos, I am new to the channel and it took a bit for me to gather the details on entering the contest so my like number may very well be inaccurate. Thanks for the content though I do appreciate the details on the starter decks for Floodborn. I had no idea they had first chapter cards in them so that threw me for a bit of a loop.
All good! The accuracy of the number isn’t important just the commenting of it.
I wasn’t expecting repeats from set 1 either! Definitely thrown for a loop myself. I heard it from some others today too.

The art is just amazing
I’m really impressed by how consistent the theme of the art is yet there are some really unique and impressive pieces
Amber and Sapphire definitely have more cards I would like to have Pooh Theme and Secen Dwarves theme, but my release night I’ll be playing Amethyst/Steel started.
Not a a bad choice at all. I think this could be the “valuable” starter with the other being better for deck battles

@@minimoonfc mirror match I struggled but then dominated against the other deck. Overall very happy with it. Madam Mim/Merlin combos really don’t kick off as hard in pure starter deck but the taste of it is there.
Think I'm like #67, looking forward to the new decks, will be interesting to see what people come up with all the new effects, synergies, etc.
Think a lot of the old decks will be what we see out of the gates until people start exploring.

Pretty decent starter deck - I feel like the first set had some stronger cards in some of their starters but maybe I’ve yet to appreciate how good these are.
Set one had higher top end but these decks all cap at 6 drops so that opens up for some bigger bombs with higher curves

Much prefer this deck to the other. The new Queen and Pooh both seem like good additions to the card pool.

Yeah, they have officially sealed, draft, starter deck challenge, multiplayer and constructed formats and several casual formats popping up all the time

8:13 - sorry if you’ve already explained this more, but how does it work with Doc reducing shift cost with his ability? Can you give an example to help me follow that?
Shift costs are a replacement cost but they are still the cost to play the card and Doc reduces the cost to play your next character by 1 ink. So if you have a 3 shift cost character and quested with Doc it would only cost 2 to shift the character at that point

18:24 Can the 5 drop Queen choose herself for +4 damage or does it have to be a different character?
She can give any chosen character the +4 including herself. Also helpful to kill characters with Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind

I wouldn’t think so. No unique cards in them so not sure there would be any value to keep sealed
