There’s no one left to tell from Nelson’s life, but all the same I just have to express gratitude at how much these videos helped me get through a rough year. I watched these on a lot of sleepless nights.

It's a window into moments in time that would otherwise be lost, if not for Nelsons filming. I think it's quite humbling to watch these events as I don't think the subjects could have imagined we'd be watching them in 2018. A moment of their lives captured and preserved, outliving them and representing the time in which it was filmed. It's like snatching back a moment of life from oblivion.
Because time always passes and memories fade. You never realize that your in an important moment in your life during it. This was the present moment for nelson and now it's gone it's over 30 years since this night.

dude the 80s wasn't the dark ages. Just because he's filming/vlogging doesn't mean much. My mum's friend's made vlogging videos in the 70s, in Bali of all places. Im lucky I have older parents, but I think most young people have this naive idea that they are the first to do a lot of things.

No, just a lot of coke and exstacy. But not real dangerous. The mob was in full swing, but they only killed other members of the mob. So really it wasnt that bad except for muggings. But you only got mugged if you were caught walking alone late at night through battery park or harlem or something like that.

Nelson was a good guy. He really cared for his friends but many didn’t treat him as well back. I heard after he died some of his so called friends took things from his apt including video tapes. Took his dog as well as other things..sad just very sad. I would had loved Nelson . I would have appreciated him . To many of these so called club people and weirdos were very narcissistic. It’s like everything was about them. Only cared for themselves. People and friends were there to just use.Anyways this guys voice is driving me batty. I can’t handle it..
