How did everyone else here get hooked on Nelson videos? I first found him when I was looking up Keith Haring videos and ended up on his tape of Haring's New Years Eve party.
I found him on my feed yesterday. I like watching retro videos of big Cities.. New York, London etc.. And a video on him walking round Meatpacking district came up in my feed. What can I say, I'm hooked! I love his energy.. Definitely think he was a time traveller and Mystic.. I was 13 in 1989. Fascinated by Social History .. Mad how we lived without Social Media and tiny cameras...So sad he died x He definitely would have been a U Tube phenomenon.. Its crazy he talks of people thinking hes crazy that hes talking to a camera... Its the norm these days! I really feel I have joined a very special club, finding himxx
The McDonald's Outlaw party video was in my suggestions a couple weeks ago, and I decided to check it out at 3am. Since then I've watched so many more. I've gone deep down the wormhole & I love it!
Before RuPaul was so famous... if I could interview him I would ask him about Nelson. It’s hard to believe Nelson would be 70 now. I’m convinced that wherever Nelson is, Blackout is with him! I often wonder what would Nelson make of TH-cam, his fame and all the people that would stand in line for miles to meet him.
Just a thought that if Nelson was born again after his death in 1989, he would be in his 20s now and probably doing new age vlogging somewhere and if he watches these videos, he would see his after life. 😮
Can someone tell me who updates his videos ? This is wonderful, praise to the one who keeps memories on Nelson. I accidentally discovered his character and works two months ago. He was excellent.
Love Nelson's videos, he really had some vision to be filming the city and everyday life the way he did. And seeing New York back when so many creative people and real workers were in the city just shows the things we lost to progress - that area in front of his house is just grotesque these days with all the expensive stores and EV showrooms, whereas back in the 80s it looked like a real neighborhood where anyone could live.
I feel like i have know Nelson all my life, but i never met him..smiles. He is from South Carolina, like myself. So sad he died so young, bu the sure left a a great Vlog!!! so interesting. Rest in peace Nelson.
It's weird for me to watch these videos and think that just eight days later I arrived in this world, but on the other side of the Atlantic. Thanks, Nelson, for thinking of creating these visual time capsules.
A normal man living a normal life. A life that is only truly important to only a handful of people and a life that meant the world to himself... Respect. Thank you for these videos. They are truly humbling.
This video represents the turning point where Nelson began turning the camera on himself and speaking directly to his audience. Before that, he had passively filmed events as they occurred with almost no narration, such as during the visit of his aunt and mother to NYC a couple years previously. Welcome aboard Nelson, great to see your smiling face! 👍
I'm totally straight,,but I just adore Nelson, ,I have friends that passed on,,,they probably knew nelson as they were in that scene at that time,,,such a shame they are all gone now,,miss them all soooo much,,,such good times ,,now I wish I went to cali and new York with them as I was invited many times ,,too bad,,,,my loss
Nightwave Radio your right,,I'd probably be right along with them, ,6 feet under,,,instead I'm older and in pain from years of labor,,I've been on my own since I was high school, ,we all don't have loving families, ,it's been survival since I was six,,,not complaining, ,we do ok now,,our son is even in med school,,so at least we could provide for our children the way parents should take care of the babies the bring into the world, my father bragged one time "he did the bare minimum" ,,he is a tool,,I never how the right way to raise children as our childhood was pure crap,,,but I KNEW WHAT NOT TO DO,,,and things are turning out well for our children
Nightwave Radio I was in the same scene in a different city (Atlanta.) We even had a Limelight here, owned by the same people I think... I’m not proud of it but I did plenty of drugs in the 80’s and early 90’s. I’m still alive as are most of my friends from those years. A few did pass away & I miss them very much but no, we aren’t all dead!

Blackout reminds me of my pluppy Hunny girl. She's a black lab/St. Bernard mix. Sadly, I lost her in my divorce with my ex-husband. You are an amazing person and a pioneer. Love to you, your family and friends. ❤️❤️❤️
I adore this channel! Thank you for sharing Nelson with us
Happy very belated Birthday Nelson. I hope you are enjoying all of the adoration we all have for your work. Thank you.
Nelson I wish I could have met you!!! Hope you are still vlogging in your next life adventure! ✌💗
Happy Birthday from the future Nelson! We still love you in 2019. Am I right?
no
we love him in 2020 too 🦋🥂✨
I just discovered him today, 7-20-2020.
How did everyone else here get hooked on Nelson videos? I first found him when I was looking up Keith Haring videos and ended up on his tape of Haring's New Years Eve party.
Jennifer Gudgeon I just came across his eating McDonald’s in 1987 clicked and had to watch alll the gems
I was looking up NY Club kids and his vids showed up. They're really interesting
I remember seeing a McDonald visit....have been hooked since! Would have loved to have known Nelson!
The McDonald's Outlaw party video was in my suggestions a couple weeks ago, and I decided to check it out at 3am. Since then I've watched so many more. I've gone deep down the wormhole & I love it!
Just stumbled across this page. Love his videos already. He was ahead of his time. Excited to watch more! May his beautiful soul rest in peace.
When it’s your bday and your friends are 1 hour late to pick you up. Damn, back then you really had to sit and wait, no whatsapp to curse them 🤣
Horror lol
I’d rather have it the 80s way. “I left and hung out with someone else cause you made me wait”
I never liked the Eric and Liz vibe.
You mean reincarnelson!
Edmund Power yes that’s the word lolz 😂
But would he remember who he was? Interesting...
Kool Red no he won’t remember like that but once he stumbles across one of his older videos then it will all come flashing back.
I love your comment.
Love you Nelson, and love your videos . Rest in peace ❤
Can someone tell me who updates his videos ? This is wonderful, praise to the one who keeps memories on Nelson. I accidentally discovered his character and works two months ago. He was excellent.
it's his friend Dick.
AvalonDreaming AvalonDreaming that's awesome. Thank you Dick
Ohh, that's nice. Greetings for the Dick.
Does Dick ever repond to comments?
Skynet I wonder
Love Nelson's videos, he really had some vision to be filming the city and everyday life the way he did. And seeing New York back when so many creative people and real workers were in the city just shows the things we lost to progress - that area in front of his house is just grotesque these days with all the expensive stores and EV showrooms, whereas back in the 80s it looked like a real neighborhood where anyone could live.
This is definitely one of the best videos uploaded by this channel and now one of my favourite Nelson vids. Thank You!
Mine too! he was so awesome just sitting there by himself.
Avi Ratica I loved it when he started talking to his neighbour!
It’s insane how different that street looks like now 😭 I was just there last week! That packing place is now a Hermes!
I love how he analyzes pointing the camera at himself. Today we think nothing of it- but I guess 30 years ago, it was a bizarre thing.
I am honored to share the same birthday with you sweet Nelson💖
I like when Nelson spends time alone with us.
Amazing footage of a great time in America.
Should have been uploaded on his actual birthday. This means he would have been 70 this year!
He did upload this on his birthday
His birthday was the 15 of March not the 15 of August.
@@planetX15 oh sht thanks

@@danacantu6714 thanks 28th Feb here. didn't realise he died so young too. RIP blackout was awesome too.
@@lee__1707 omg I'm Feb 28! What a coincidence..
RuPaul knows these videos are on here. He doesn't watch them though.
Why not? Too painful?
Maybe he doesn't have access to TH-cam.
Is it the famous ropaoul??
@@vsong66 Yes the famous RuPaul
Well, maybe in time he will watch them. I hope so, cause Nelson is awesome. Let's hope so.
Who would had thought, he would turn 71 years old this year! Wow time flies!!!!
pablo areas I can’t imagine him at 71.
He’s young forever.
@@nickicouture7297 Forever 21?

@@bruhlickd Such a great guy. I enjoy all the videos I have seen of Nelson, his friends, and his life. I think he was awesome . TC
It's weird for me to watch these videos and think that just eight days later I arrived in this world, but on the other side of the Atlantic.
Thanks, Nelson, for thinking of creating these visual time capsules.
12:13 "That was Paula, ...well no kidding." lmfao love these videos. RIP to what seem like a really cool guy.
Eric was an asshole.
Amazing man. Wish I could have met him.
A normal man living a normal life. A life that is only truly important to only a handful of people and a life that meant the world to himself... Respect. Thank you for these videos. They are truly humbling.
I wish he was my neighbor. RIP Nelson 💖 forever happy birthday! 💕😘
The night that I discovered him I attempted Suicide. I thank him so much for these videos for some reason it puts me at ease. 🙏🏽❤️😔
Hang in their Jo-Anna . Hugs 💕
Elizabeth Taylor Ty so much 🤗🤗
I hope things are better for you now Jo-Anna. I hope you see this message :)
No one cares bitch lmao
The world will break your heart, if you let it. Jo-Anna stay strong, remember this please, if you're breathing you're achieving. 💚🧡💜🌹
He was a good guy. He had a very good attitude.
My goodness, the sound quality is amazing.
420 edu x
Nightwave Radio I was in the same scene in a different city (Atlanta.) We even had a Limelight here, owned by the same people I think... I’m not proud of it but I did plenty of drugs in the 80’s and early 90’s. I’m still alive as are most of my friends from those years. A few did pass away & I miss them very much but no, we aren’t all dead!
Nelson was a pioneer of Vlogging!💕👍🏻💕
Also most kids looking at that phone would be like wtf is that?
This was no phone it was a giant 📷
