I haven’t thought about these two in years, but they really were the blueprint. Really, Katniss acting like they were in love and Peeta being hurt when he realizes. And then, she realizes how much she can’t bear to lose him in the Quell. And then the Capitol takes him and she tries to numb her pain with Gale, but he isn’t Peeta. This video was just a perfect representation how much they cared about one another. Katniss especially. Watching her fall in love was like how many people do. It’s not quick or all at once. It’s a million little instances.
I’d say he fell just as hard but his always number 1 priority was to save Katniss ! She also only wanted to save Peeta but she had the whole rebellion on her shoulders so she had to navigate with other priorities but from first movie on ( when he wasn’t hijacked ) his full blown love of her was his driving force. Just like Gale said “ you gave up everything for her” I think Katniss took a little to figured out her love of him but she had to navigate all the other stuff. I’d love another movie with them 🤦🏻♂️
Sometimes you watch or read something and you know how it's going to turn out. Like it was written for them to end up together. This was the most natural processing love story.

I really can't because she truly started caring for him and feeling safe the moment she asked him to stay with her, and then she realized it was more than just a friendship when she almost lost him when he hit the force field, when she asked where's peeta and they answered the capitol has him, her world ended, she was terrified for him, she just wanted him to be safe, and she knew he wasn't, and then at the end when he said i found these flowers in the woods, there primroses, she never let him go
If you read the book and you see her internal monologue right before she says, realtor, you love me it makes me cry. It is literally the background on my computer. It is so amazing.
The conversation with gale is like...... When gale says: when she kissed u she has never kissed me like that. And then peeta says: it's just for the act! But deep down gale knows there is something going on! And he gets really jelous
It saddens me how much people fails to see Katniss and Peeta's dynamics just because the other dude was more hot.😢 Also this edit made me miss Finnick again.

The facts that people say she should have ended up with Gale/ her and Peeta don’t have any chemistry… I’m convinced that they’re either tweens that have no clue what love is or they are fully formed people that have no idea what love is! Never has there been 2 more matched for each other, maybe that’s from the trauma bonding of the games, or it was always meant to happen, but as we have it, now, this is what was meant to be.
