Katniss Everdeen has to be one of my favorite character of all time, She's not the usual invincible hero that was born to be perfect, she a normal girl who taught herself how to survive. She struggles and has to pick herself back up when she falls down, she takes care of her family and of her friends without expecting anything in return. This is why Katniss is amazing.

‘The games have destroyed her’ In my opinion is one of the most powerful lines ever said in the hunger games. It is an accurate description of what the games did to her.
She did however managed to stay true to her brave self (shot Coin instead of Snow), took care of herself at home (despite all the PTSD triggers over there that could have easily led her to suicide or insanity), opened her injured heart to love (her marriage to Peeta) and chose hope over fear (had children). So I don't think it is apt to say that the games destroyed her. The games forced her to the ground and beat her, but she picked herself up. Did the games damage her or.. made her stronger than she ever thought she was? Hard to say, there is only a fine line.
Some trailers also put the wrong song with the wrong scenery we need intense we need to know if the songs how the film describes it people would watch it like this one good job

She had become friends with haymitch. And expected everything to be easy after, but it wasn’t. It would never be normal. She ended back in those games and lost the boy at the end. She blamed haymitch for leaving him. But she forgave him, knowing he knew the torture she’d been through. She made friends with finnick along the way. They both knew the capital were torturing their lovers, and fought through it. She has breakdowns, she’s scared, she just wants to die. But she can’t do that to prim, or her mom. She wants Peeta, wants to hold him and tell him it will be okay, even if it never will be. She is forced to be with the rebels, who she partly despised. She never wanted to be the mockingjay, she made that leader spare the tributes life in order for her to be the face of a rebellion. She sings for the rebels, Hanging tree. She get Peeta back, she sees light in her dark situation. He is deranged, he’s family is dead, and his home is gone. He sees katniss as who she really is to others. And she hates him for it. Finnick is with his Annie, and is happy. That makes her happy, and let’s her accept that She’s broken, and that’s okay. She may never be able to fix herself, and that’s okay. On a suicidal mission to the capital, the boy with the bread comes back to her. She wants snow dead. She stops at nothing to get what she wants, losing finnick and her leader, Boggs in the process. Her sister is killed by those bombs- Gales bombs. She’s not stupid. She knows those were his bombs. Snow wouldn’t kill- CAPITAL children. District children- yes, but not his people’s children. He kills coin, for murdering her sister. She is put in a cell, driving her insane. She sings, singing washes away her pain. Peeta was right. Her voice is quite lovely, not as lovely as her dads. But the birds outside would try to listen. Haymitch comforts her away from the cell. Back home to twelve. Her mother is not back. And most likely never will never be back, she has abandoned her. Sue has kept her sane, mostly. She wants to hunt but is haunted by those people she murdered. She will never forgive herself for it. She cries, and lies in bed. Peeta is back. He plants primroses for her. He knows what it feels like. Her pain from the arena. He’s a daisy in spring. A light that has been lost for along time. He brings her hope. And that’s enough to live on for the rest of her life. Her kids have taken on her fiery soul, but aren’t as fiery because of Peetas softness. They don’t know why their mom wakes up screaming. The girl knows about the games and how she was in them. They take advantage of her songs, not knowing the deep meaning behind them. They will not know until they are older. She will protect them from that truth. Maybe one day she will show them how she lived. But until then she will let them wonder. Peeta still has his flashbacks, but she calms him down. Just as he does for her. He’s her love and light. Peeta will always play weird true or not true games. but she doesn’t care, After all, there are much worse games to play.
Peeta: "Your favorite color is green. Is that real?" Katniss: "Yeah. That's real. Yours is orange. Not... the bright orange. Soft like the sunset." This is one of my favorite line in the series. I'm so in love with The Hunger Games.
I’ve never noticed that scene when the capital Child is crying over her dead mothers body and i think that’s when Katniss knew that every citizen of Panem has suffered not just the people from the districts
I love how in the books Suzanne Collins doesn't try to hide the fact that Katniss had PTSD. I remember watching Catching Fire for the first time and in the beginning of the movie when she's hunting with gale she shoots something but instead of the animal she sees Marvel being shot and she screams. That touched me and made me realize PTSD is real and many people commit suicide from it because they can't handle the pain anymore. More than anything, I think (many people may disagree) this series symbolizes pushing through when life is living hell. Katniss lost so many things but she still pushed through. I first read THG when I was abt 14-15, now that I am about Katniss’s age I just can’t fathom all the shit she’s been through. Like damn, here I am waking up after a 12 hr sleep and there she is fighting for her life and being the face of a revolution. She truly deserved that peaceful ending.
The thing is, even if you don't like Katniss or the Hunger Games, you can't deny that she became a role model for a whole generation of kids. As unlikeable as she can be, she's one of the most realistic and humane heroines to exist in pop culture-she showed both strenght and weakness. Not a bad role model if you ask me.
I never noticed this before but in the first film you can see the peacekeepers faces. By the time katniss and peeta have shown through their joint victory that you can stand up against the capitol, that revolution is coming, the peacekeepers faces are fully hidden. They have no names, no numbers, no faces. They face no consequences, and get less and less humane and human as the series goes on. This really stood out to be in the current situation, where we used to see cops names faces and badge numbers, now all we see are gas masks, shields and no identification. This is the revolution.
what i like is that he makes a storyline with all the movies while the music is playing, all the others are just the music with clips but no talking, what hedastribute does takes longer but makes him special and is way better to watch!
