She was protected by the salt circle and the witches took flight, and their blast from their brooms knocked Alison on her butt, silly. But, what if they had thought about it and purposefully directed their blasts directly on to her. "BOOM!" Allison is toast, or blown to bits. Or, after they had blasted away and blown Alison down, certainly it blew the salt away. The witches could have come back and had their way with Alison, Probably turned the dumb girl into a permanent frozen-in-time statue of stupidity or something. Two points: the salt circle didn't protect Alison from the broom blasts and Alison was an idiot.
