Thank you all for your amazing feedback! The most hate comments are because the video is so long but I really wanted to tell my entire story. Giving you my history and background on my skin is important and I feel like you guys knowing it can really help when it comes to curing your own acne. Anyways, I appreciate all your support and if any of you ever want to take, never hesitate to reach out via instagram dm's @akuchh. - Love you all

hey just wondering if you're still on spironolactone. because thats not really a natural solution and if you go off it your acne will come back. diet has an effect but spironolactone blocks your androgen receptors so your skin cannot break out anymore. it doesn't heal it though.

Warm water with half of a lemon juice with straw, every morning & night, next to that drink green tea 3/4 times a day ( the good green tea that is not in a little teabag ), sauna, washing with big chunk of olive soap and a electric facebrush. And drink 8 glasses of water everyday, and eat alot alot alot of fresh vegetablrs and fruits,
Ditch dairy, fake sugar, candy, milky fake sugar chocolate.

We have already expended a hefty amount of money trying various acne cures for over a year now but not one of them had worked. I am thankful that we`ve found out this guide. We observed an apparent distinction within a couple of days and within a few weeks her acne had cleared up.

    The gist: 20:12
Cut gluten. Cut dairy. Cut processed foods. Start with the gut!!
(This is not new news but still new for many and a “last resort” when really it’s the first place we should start)

      Johanna Schafhauser 😳
      Things. That. Grow.
Fruits. veggies. healthy fats. if you choose to eat meat , try to go for clean meats, grass fed without antibiotics and hormones. Eat organic if you can afford to. No additives, chemicals and artificial sht. If you can’t pronounce it, put it back.
It’s worth researching because even many “healthy” foods don’t sit well with every _body_ but it’s a good place to start, cutting out common irritants and gradually adding things back in.
When we stop just trying to mold the body to a certain size, shape or number and actually approach food from “healing the gut” standpoint, and when the body starts crying out in the form of chronic acne, diseases, pain and uncommon breakdown, the game plan looks much different.
Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food 🌱 ❤️

    • @In_time
      @In_time 5 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      it is what it is
How long have you been at it? Dairy can take a few weeks and gluten 3-6 MONTHS 😳 and 6-12 months for the gut to heal from the damage already done.
And unfortunately, with gluten, there are no “cheat days” if you have it-at all in any quantity -it’s back in the system. Like blood in the water, everything is tainted.
And if you’re dealing with a Candida overgrowth (overgrowth of bad bacteria and not enough good) that can take upwards of a year:(
We all want a quick fix when we’ve fed our bodies garbage for _years._ Accept it will take time.
It was super discouraging to me too at first, but it’s just something you have to commit to and stick with. You have to be come your own advocate-no traditional doc is gonna make sure your “micro biome” is in top shape. In fact, no traditional doc will tell you diet has anything to do with your health. They just prescribe and send you on your way. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Its incredible.
Give it time and _Research!_ Cheers!

I take care of myself and do what I do for me. Sure I have my insecurities, I’m still human. You just have to smile while you’re down and focus on other things.

      Do you have FUNGAL Acne?
      Nizoral Shampoo or it's generic.
      (Ketoconazol), may be a better
      choice as a treatment.
Wash face with gentle cleanser. Then apply small amount of the shampoo to face, everywhere, or only to problem areas.
Let rest on your face for a few minutes, and rinse thoroughly.
      Dry completely.
If it's too irritating or drying,
use every few days, or leave on skin for less time.
After your face clears, use weekly to keep the fungus from repopulating.
It will sometimes cause light peeling, which is a normal side effect.
      Aside from killing the fungus,
it helps remove the dead skin and natural oils on the skin that the fungus feeds on.
A Glycolic Acid face cream may also help.
Constipation can also cause chronic breakouts. Eating a high fiber cereal and taking a mini dose of milk of magnesia, 1 teaspoon nighly, may help.
Taking a probiotic capsule and eating fermented foods, ie sauerkraut from the refrigerated aisle, can also help restore good gut bacteria.
      Lower your carb count.
      (Ketogenic Diet, keto vegan)
*SUGAR and Carbs produce oil and androgens in the body.
      Androgens are male hormones.
(Causing facial and back breakouts, excessive hair growth, weight-gain, scalp hair loss, exacerbation of PCOS, etc).
Remember, natural oils your body produces are a food source for fungus.
The video suggests going gluten free and I concur.
      Heal your body.
      Hope this helps you.
      👍

Y’all need to try L-Lysine 1000mg! I promise it will change your life. This is video is great, there’s another one I would recommend: check out Organic Olivia’s video on how she cleared her acne, also. The thing is not everyone’s acne is the same. Mines is hormonal and stress, so I started with my diet and taking probiotics and L-lysine. I removed sugar, period. I even did a candida diet but also mixed in hormonal recommended foods. Keep trying!! always try something for about 3 mo. or more, that’s when you will if it is or isn’t working.

  • @binboda
    @binboda 5 ปีที่แล้ว +50

It’s come to the point where I already know everything she recommends in this video. I also recently realised that my acne is to do with my hormones. My parents told me my acne would go away at 25 but I’m 25 now and it’s been getting worse. So I’ve read up on hormone imbalance and how to fix it. Now I regulate everything: diet, exercise, sleep, stress levels, my mindset, fresh air, meditation, yoga, hygiene etc.
Armed with everything I’ve learned, I’m now on day 10 of my personal hormone balance journey and I’m happy to say I already see positive changes. There’s still a long way to go but I think I’m getting there.
Earlier this year my acne cleared up 100% in a single month (for the first time in my entire life!) and I experienced clear skin like never before. It was HEAVEN y’all! I didn’t even need to use any skincare, just wash my face and that’s all! I could eat a whole tub of ice cream, eat sweets, drink whole milk and my skin wouldn’t react whatsoever. I believe that was when my hormones were in perfect balance and so now I know where to aim. Besides everything mentioned above I’m also going to try seed cycling soon.
Also here’s a tip: skincare products aren’t going to solve your acne but they’re going to help in your journey, even if at least to heal your wounds faster - and the best skincare products are made in Korea. Koreans are obsessed with beauty and their skincare is on a whole other level. Western brands don’t compare.
Good luck everyone on your acne journey! I wish clear skin for all of us ❤️

Matthew Lavezzoli People are actually "allergic" to milk because it's no longer what it once was back when everyone drank it and were fine. People use to drink and eat dairy raw, which meant it had enzymes in it that helped people break it down. Now we pasteurize it and homogeneous it. Both completely change the milk. On top of that, most milk and cheeses in America are filled with processed junk, added hormones, antibiotics, and coloring.

Hi I don’t know if you are still struggling with acne but I saw what you said about your pimples being itchy and that can be a sign of fungal acne, which doesn’t really respond to typical treatments. Try buying head and shoulders shampoo and use it as a face mask for 10-20 minutes at night, if your skin seems to have calmed down and itchiness has decreased, it is likely fungal

I have never related to a video more in my life. Acne controls my life. Not excepting a life guard job, skipping sleepovers, turning the lights off after washing my face and covering myself when I’m around other people. I don’t leave my room without putting makeup on. I have been off dairy for about 6 months now and I’m on a medication. I eat very clean and I still suffer from issues with my skin. After watching your video I am going to start cutting out gluten and becoming vegan. After all of the videos I’ve seen on “How To Clear Acne”, this is the first video I’ve seen where I feel that your advice will work. Thank you for being so vulnerable. i’m in middle school and i have awful acne. one day, i was sitting on the bus with my “friend” and she turns to me and says, you have acne. This hurt me so much since i know. I wake up every day and look in the mirror and i see it. The big red spots. My locker is beside hers and would always bring it up no matter the circumstance. Theres this boy who points it out every day and tells me it’s getting worse every day. For anyone who doesn’t have acne or even if you do, DO NOT POINT IT OUT. I wash my face morning and night, i put on a prescribed medication every night, i drink water i do everything i can but genetics are still a thing. A thing i cannot control. So stop telling me to wash my face and stop pointing it out. Believe me, i know.

Girl, this is the first time I'm commenting on anyone's video. I just feel like I can relate to your story soooo much. Especially all of that from a college. It's absolutely unreal how all those insecurities and experiences are the same here. And it's so weird how two people I came across as well and I listened to all of their videos are Cassandra and Sara. That's just amazing! I have to say that I'm just finishing my senior year this summer and I'm currently struggling with my acne very bad. It was almost fine recently, and then, it felt like it all turned around again "overnight." I'm so lost these days. I can't help it but cry and hate to look at myself, just like during majority of time in past 6 years. I experimented with gluten and dairy before but never to a point where I completely cut it all out. I think I need that confirmation from a doctor saying, "You are allergic." lol I feel like that would make me feel so responsible, and also, it would make it easy to explain to everyone why I eat the way I eat. I'm definitely going to seriously check on that soon but I decided to start cutting out a lot of stuff even starting with today (like, I'm not kidding, after I watched this video I went to my fridge and throw away some dairy I had there haha). Anyway, I really think your video gives me hope, and I would love if you can post more - maybe about any skin products you use and kind of believe that they really help. Also, I just have to tell you that I totally understand your desire for a laser. I'm the same way, and some people are so annoying with making us feel like we are making such a big deal out of it...hmm, excuse me? I fully support you and I just wanted to thank you for being raw and really understanding how much this means to us who are dealing with severe acne. Good luck with everything in your future and feel free to post more. :)

Growing up acne really damaged my self esteem. In middle school I was really bullied because of acne. I used to go to school with tons of makeup on and I would always wear scarves in public to cover my cheeks. My family didn’t really help me either they claimed I ate too much junk food and that if I wanted to have clear skin then i should just wash my skin. But they didn’t know how much I literally ate so clean and I did so many home remedies and even went to the dermatologist. At one point in my life when I was around 17 I went to the nail salon with a family member and the first thing that the nail lady said when she saw me come through the door was “ what happened to your face” in front of everyone. I was so embarrassed and I started crying literally I ran to my car and my family member didn’t even stick up for me and I waited one hour in the car for them. Luckily, my acne is not bad anymore but it really did damage my self image and confidence. Acne is not something you should bully others for. Sometimes we can not control it.

My acne actually stopped during my 10th grade of high school but it came back after the summer of that year. Even thought I had have/still acne scars and hyperpigmentation my ex didn’t care and still kissed my acne cheeks. I still go out without makeup because I always have that mentality of “I’m just here to mind my own business.” I do get stressed out over my acne when i have a lot of active acne at one time. i cried the whole video and i can relate so much. especially with the boyfriend part.
when i started seeing him i always made sure that we’d meet up afternoon/ evening ish or even at night so he wouldn’t even be able to really see my face..
    it sucks
i always had a few pimples here and there but a few months ago my skin started to get worse and i think i had mild acne but a few weeks ago it got really bad and now it’s pretty moderate.
yes i put on concealer when i go out but sometimes i even put it on when i’m home alone because it just makes me so sad when i look at myself on the mirror and at night when i have to wash it off i procrastinate, not because i’m lazy because it hurts so much to take it off and then do my skin care routine.
i called different dermatologists but they are so damn busy that i only got an appointment for next year april.
i’m scared of it getting worse and worse. none of my friends have bad skin. when i told them that i started getting, sure they said nice things to cheer me up or recommended things to try.
yea i know it’s nice but as if i haven’t tried all these things and the fact that they just can’t relate sucks.
my acne makes my depression even worse.
i wanna go out less, never stay the night, do things during the day.
i can’t deal with this tbh

I’m 28 and experiencing the worst painful deep cystic acne in the life. I never expected that hormonal acne would be something that got worse as I become a real adult. I thought the high school years were supposed to be worse. I can’t believe how painful it feels, the pressure that makes me want to itch it or relieve the pressure somehow. I have been really good about not picking it, though I rub a cotton round soaked with glycolic acid (the ordinary) on it harder than I probably should. At least I don’t use my fingernails anymore.

Well, it's gonna sounds crazy but you asked so I'll answer! I'm 34 years old and have struggled with severe acne (on my arms, chest, stomach, back, butt! & face) since I started my period at about 14 years old. I recently started eating grass-fed/ruminant meat (beef, lamb & bison) with every meal (although I also avoid pasteurized/homogenized dairy; wheat; non-organic sugar; any grains/beans/legumes/seeds unless they're sprouted; and the top 8 allergens, which are listed separately under the ingredients label on products as "Contains:", and they are cow's milk, eggs, tree nuts [that includes coconuts!], peanuts, shell fish, fish, soy & wheat) and I've been noticing very little new acne forming and HEALING of old acne! I'm even going so far as to eat my grass-fed/ruminant meat RAW (yes, you read that right!) and it has just been clearing up amazingly! I haven't been doing it long enough yet to be able to tell you that my acne is completely gone, but I know my body VERY well and can tell I'm headed in the right direction!

I've been on Accutane 3 separate times and each time it comes back. so I'm now going to make it my mission to cut out gluten and dairy, and implement a much healthier lifestyle and see what that does for a few months. very excited cause i am just so over this!

Your face is fine now. You really don't need that laser surgery. Now your obsessing. Your skin can clear completely. Mine did in about 1 year. I did almost the same as you but I take zinc & natural vitamin C. At night I mix aloe vera, olive oil with vitamin E. My skin is clear. I thought this would never happen. Since I've been typing this long one last thing: almost daily I drink a detox drink of 1 cucumber, half lemon, fresh ginger. This allows me to have my dairy once in a while. I hope this may help someone. And thanks for sharing your story.

Wow, I had no idea how draining it was hiding your acne is in college, and the pain of not feeling like you could talk openly about it. That’s almost worse than the acne itself! That’s a lot a lot a lot alot of stress, and even though your skin is healing, I think therapy can still be super helpful in healing your brain so it can rest after all that residual stress. Just because you don’t complain about it -omg I certainly would, ha! - doesn’t mean the stres isn’t still there, lurking for the next big breakout. You’ve been through a lot; what’s strong person you are!! Thank you so much for telling your story!!

23:19 yes, I can relate! I took an antibiotic called SOlodyn for an ENTIRE YEAR...my body got so used to the antibiotic that i believe it stopped working, and i started to feel pain in my wrists and knees and ankles. At the time I did not know what was causing this pain, and I was afraid. I remember limping down the street one day, because one my ankles was that much in pain. It was all because of a antibiotic I took for way too long. Just letting anyone out there know, in case they didn't know: the amount of time you take an antibiotic depends on what kind of antibiotic you are taking, and your ailment...but it shouldn't be taken for too long.

Gut health is very important! Additionally, I just saw a video, about this woman who works at a health food store, and she recommended taking vitamin B5 with every meal. B5 is required to create energy via the Kreb cycle. A mother tried it with her son, and it cleared him up within 3 weeks. Also, tretinoin not only keeps your skin looking young, but it clears acne over time. I use it. Lasers can also create more problems than they solve.

I completely relate to you. My acne made me so depressed that I eventually went on accutane, and I'm thankful that I'm in a better spot now. But I can't forget how low my acne made me feel for so long, even small breakouts now send me back to that low point sometimes.

Hey there, thanks for the video. I'm actually a living proof that acne can go away when eliminating gluten and dairy from the everyday nutrition. Once I made this change (about 10 years ago, I'm currently 29) it really made a difference. And I did it with homemade remedies to support my skin, no drugs or lotions of any sort. Unfortunately, these past 3-4 months were rough for me emotionally, and the acne returned. So I'd say it's not just the nutrition that makes a difference, but also the stress in your life. I broke up with my bf at the time and he gave me hard time after that. I'm a much happier person now that I'm without him in my life, and I notice that the acne I suffered is now minimized to almost zero spots. So I hope anyone who reads my comment understands that emotional health is super important as well, and if you don't take care of yourself emotionally, it really shows on the surface of the skin.
Happy for you that you cleared all your acne! Have a good one :)

So proud of you for being vulnerable enough to share your acne journey. I have a similar journey and am finally in the promise land of clear skin aside from some lingering scarring (that is getting lighter every week). I don't have a youtube channel yet but in the meantime, I HIGHLY recommend the Laser & Light facial by SkinLaundry. I live in LA as well and there's one in WeHo. They're $75 and there are ways to save like getting a package or membership, and you can add levels of intensity depending on your needs. I don't work for them...i just LOVE the treatments ; ) You also get your first treatment free.
I have plenty of natural product recommendations as well if you're in need of something new. Cheers to clear skin!

  • @soul6299
    @soul6299 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I tried salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, African black soap, sulfur soap, charcoal, tea tree oil, curology, and I can’t take antibiotics. The only things that have worked for me and provided noticeable results have been getting on birth control, cutting out low-fat fairy (seriously, full-fat dairy seems to be fine for me, but low-fat makes me break out), and using differin gel. Differin has been a serious game-changer for me and the only topical product that has worked. My skin is way better now than it’s been over the last few years. I still get the occasional cystic break out, but it’s a huge improvement from the big clusters of cystic pimples I used to have all over my face, and I’m grateful for the improvements. It’s true that acne can totally destroy your confidence, and I’m glad you were honest about that, because it really does hurt.

Thank you SO much for making this video. Our stories are very similar. My skin is at its worst again and I wear a face mask or spot treatment whenever I don’t have makeup on too because it makes me feel better. I’d rather people see me with a face mask than acne. I’ve worn a mask almost every day for the past year. I’ve watched Cassandra for years, too. She’s helped me so much but I am so happy to have found you. I’ve been thinking about gut health and changing my eating habits so thank you for reiterating that for me! Also I have a baby and I feel you on every level because I take care of my baby and my second priority is making sure my skin is covered. Ugh.

I went paleo, no dairy, and no bread/chips. My skin, inflammation, and mood improved as well. If I do eat something that has cheese snuck in it, I have a dairy/food enzyme to help digestion. I normally work out since I’m a former athlete, and I grew up with the sauna culture (Finnish) which were all good for my health.

girl im a freshman in college right now and ever since I moved in, my acne got crazy. everything you're talking about Im relating to now especially with your roommates and like scheduling your showers. its nice to here someone that feels like exact same way. I went to a dermatologist in high school and they prescribed me with acuutane and tazerac. this stuff put me in such a bad mood. it took so long to clear my skin and it dried me out so much. after it got to a certain point where I had to completely stop taking acuutane and tazerac. My skin was clear most of senior and summer going into college but after a few weeks in college it got so bad. I drank at least a gallon of water a day and altered my diet a lot. Now it is half way through the first semester, it is starting to get better. I've been washing my face twice a day with a bare minerals salicylic acid. I recently started with witch hazel and tea tree oil and tonight I'm going to start Aztec Healing Clay. I don't hate dermatologists but I don't like them. For me, it seemed like they saw me, knew I was desperate, and wanted to sell expensive products. Accutane is not cheap by the way, neither was the tazerac. Another bad part is hearing people with clear skin say things like "oh you should try proactive" or "oh do you wash your face". Anyway, anyone dealing with acne like me seriously it will get better. And anyone who judges you for you skin and not your character is not worth your time.
