Since they were fifteen, these young loves have been together, and at eighteen, they decided to go full-time in their DIY skoolie! Emma is an artist and dedicated a section for her studio to continue to create while on the road. Justin works as a web developer and can work remotely.
Their rig has a functional layout with a couch that converts into a spare bed and a four-person table setting with an open kitchen hosting ample space. They have an elevated bed with a massive closet allowing for hanging clothes and extra storage. The back deck is super helpful for hanging their bikes, and the roof deck is ideal for socializing or just chillin.

Having the shower on the opposite side of the sink gave you the option for the best closet I’ve ever seen in a bus build. If you use biodegradable soaps and such then I’ve seen lots of other people just let the shower drain out the bottom of the bus. A bucket and bag system for the toilet would mean no black tank. With no black or grey tank means you could have a much bigger fresh water tank and less time in between fill ups. I would imagine you use a lot of water cleaning up after painting so a bigger fresh water tank would be great for y’all. A mural on the side of your bus would be great advertising too. But seriously to be so young and have built such an amazing home for yourselves is really a major accomplishment. You thought out so many details in your build that I hadn’t seen before, like the dinette that expands for 4 seats or a couch and storage. You both could also make money by either helping others build their busses or by created some sort of web page where people can go to and buy the plans or something like that for the things y’all did that hadn’t been done before. Or like zoom or FaceTime instructional classes to help somebody that’s is struggling with a budget. I’m rambling but it because I am so impressed with what y’all have done. This is extremely awesome. You guys are so great and living life the way many adults wish they would have chosen to live instead of stuck with a 30-40 year mortgage and working their butts off to pay this mortgage. Your bus is amazing! Young and accomplishing so much. I would love to have a bus like yours. The storage on it a great feature. Working and making the space count. The only thing I would change is the toilet. Other than than that nothing. Thank you for sharing the tiny bus!
You wouldn't move the oven away from the bed with blankets and flammable fabrics? I think most skoolies have the kitchen storage next to the bed and fire heat appliances at beginning of kitchen.

These two young couple have done an exceptional job, for the time they did it in and the design and build is fantastic. They both have many adventures yet to experience, they are both intelligent and driven young souls. They could find something in the building/conversion van/bus business.

First, you both have really put the time into thinking out your build, and it shows with how it is now all working well together. Second, so great to see a young couple doing this in their best years. Right now, you are both making memories together that you will never forget. So when you get old like some of us, you’ll enjoy thinking back on them.
If I was to make a few suggestions, I would first say, please keep some type of journal. You may think it may be impossible to forget this or that, but if you don’t write it down or have a video you will. Secondly, I would not have your generator out in the back where it can easily get stolen. Yes, it’s covered, but thieves will know things that are covered, may be worth something. If possible, make a box with the same wood as your deck and have your propane and generator in there with a good lock. As my Dad would say, out of sight, out of mind. And he was a pretty smart guy.
I remember a few years back, I had watched a video where the owners of their rv had spoken of their anger and frustration of their generator or other high priced item had been covered and stolen right in the middle of the day at a stoplight. They had made the video in hopes of protecting others from what they had called a foolish and rookie mistake. So, I’m just passing it on.

I'm only 2 mins in and I already want to come in on your bus! It already looks amazing, and you're doing such a great job of taping so that you can show us all the amount of space, etc. I love where you put the electrical, totally accessible for someone to work on without having to get into your personal space! Love the light switches, and love the couch dinette conversion. I've seen lots of videos and lots of buses and have never commented before. I've also seen the conversions of the dinette to the bed, but haven't ever felt like I wanted to do it until I just now saw yours. Great job on everything! Thanks for the video! :) Oh and also your paints hanging the way you put them up! So great!

Just a suggestion, but maybe put a cover over the windows in your clothes storage. The sun will slowly fade one side of your clothes (the side nearest the window) if the clothes are not used often (like winter coats).
