I thought the highest RAM size of the pro 3500 series is 8gb. Can I use Zotac Geforce GTX 680 2gb DDR5 be use for this same system unit

Hello people, I have a Hewlett-Packard hp pro 3400 series driver model wddm 1.2 I am trying to connect multi monitors to it. The new Benq pd2700u monitor says I need dp 1.4 to connect multi monitors. Can someone let me know what I need to do and is this possible Thank you
@@jackj8478 If your pc is not reading from the other ports to the other screen, it may be that your other port is faulty. An alternative is to pickup a graphics card that suits your needs an the ports then use that for multi-video outlets. Your monitor says it needs a dp 1.4 to connect multiple monitors. A dp is a display port ( thats the name of cable) Specifically a model that shows 1.4 ratio. So a gpu would be needed or an adapter like hdmi to dp 1.4 adapter, or a vga to dp 1.4 adapter. A graphics card costs more than the adapters, but offer different types of ports in the long run when you upgrade. It is what ever you prefer. Regardless og the route you take you'll need one or the other, Since the hp pro 3400 does not have a dp 1.4 socket integrated on it.
to summarize:
Option one:
display port (dp) 1.4 adapter to Vga, or display port (dp) 1.4 to hdmi adapter
Option 2:
A graphics card that supports needed ports such as a graphics card with a display port socket (you will need to get a display port cable that's double sided, this can be found online as a display port (dp) 1.4 cable.)

I am trying for dvi to monitor (dp 1.4). I am now realising I specifically need a dvi from computer to the dp 1.4 monitor. I seem to only see the other way around dp from computer to dvi on the monitor. Could I also consider dvi to dp 1.4 adapter then get a dp to dp cable. I also read most cables are not backward compatible. I am new to connecting multiple monitors and which cables I need. If you have any suggestions as to which dvi from computer to dp 1.4 monitor cables I could purchase that would be great.

Tip: just put an old 480w Enermax Gold PSU I had lying around (still a beast) in one of these to power a GTX1060-- it doesn't even have a 24 but 20-pin connector (no issue) and I needed a molex-to-PCIE converter for the GPU but it's awesome, quiet and stable as a rock. You never know what old parts you can still use for these kinda upgrades.

@@daonlyshaker Yes it's possible and everything works great i use win10 pro 64bits i stress tested the system and i run MemTest86 just to make sure everything works fine.I did upgrade to the latest bios (Jan 12, 2015) but i have done so before i was even thinking of upgrading also I'm planning to upgrade to i7 3770 when i get the chance.( i do gameplays on gtx 750 and 1650super )

Had enough spare parts to upgrade the one I bought for $15 on marketplace. 16GB ram, i5 2400, GTX 950, 512GB Samsung SSD, and a 600 watt Corsair PSU.

I have a tossed away Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 (One with double DUAL-X fans on) lying around in my hand and I wanted to install it.
But the original HP PSU do not have an extra 6pin required for the card.
How can I determine if a PSU have extra 6pin cables on? Or what models of PSU are compatible with both the HP motherboard and this graphics card?
I have the same pc, i also put a cx650m in mine. Its a good pc i5 3470 and 16gb ram. I put a 1080 ti in mine and this setup will play anything. High and ultra settings with a high end video card.

I just upgraded to Asus GTX 670, Corsair HX520W and added 8gb to the 4gb = 12GB RAM (need tot find a pair of 2x8 bit for now fine). Added a 4x USB 3.0 mini pci-e adapter in the rear and an additional HDD. Oh and a strip of green LED's. Works like a charm!

Корпус у меня почти в точь точь,только видимо следующая ревизия,спереди 2 USB 3.0.
Был i3-2100 (2 ядра 4 потока с графикой),поставил xeon e1225v2 (4 ядра 4 потока с графикой).Видеокарта была gt630 на 4 гб gddr3,теперь gtx1060 6 гб gddr 5.Оперативную думал по частотам поднять взял на 1600 две по 4 гб,а тут оказалось ограничение шины в 1300 вот же дерьмо.Вообщем оставил старые разнобойные 8 гб на 1333.
По ценам,процессор удалось по месту за 650 забрать,видеокарта аналог с майнинга за 1500 с авито.Вообщем не считая оперативной,2150 рублей вышло.
Thanks for showing where to put SSD with the optical screws. Oem HP 500gb Seagate hard drive failure, so decided to upgrade to SSD Kingston sv300 240gb for ageing i3 2120 model.
And what result did you get? No problem?
I have had this pc for 5 years. Upgraded it to a 3rd gen i5, better cooler, 450ew psu and a 6650XT (it barely fits) and works like a charm. The cpu is bottlenecks but I can play all my games in ultra without hiccups at 1080p. Still capable, but it is very old and at some point, it's going to end up as a library pc lol

Just would like clarification that the mobo will support the 16gb of ram even though their documentation states 8gb max? Only curious bc I'm transferring the innards of one of these to a mid tower case for better airflow and room for a gpu and wanted to upgrade ram but read it was 8gb max.

There is not another caddy/bay in the system so if you were to add one it would have to be an external hard drive. However, theoretically you could buy another hard drive for internal storage but it would be laying inside the original case with no caddy. Personally I would advise against a hard drive because of its mechanically moving parts, and would suggest an SSD where it is not on the the caddy and the hard drive mounted to the caddy. If you are not comfortable with it laying in the bottom of the case, why not buy a new case? The motherboard is a mATX motherboard. So simply search for an mATX case that has available bays in it. the other factor is that in order to get the second hard drive to work you will need a new power supply with more SATA power cable adapters on it because the OEM PSU does not have more than one. So, I recommend A new mATX case and a new psu to make it work the easiest and safest.

Hi, yes 16gb ddr3 1600 or 1333 non ecc unbuffered for desktop memory will work fine brand like kingston or corsair or crucial and you can use any 2.5 solid state drive any brand

My interpretation of the HP documentation is that they built this system with a max of 8 GB of RAM, but technically it should support 16 GB (2x 8 GB sticks.)

You can use 450w+ PSU for GTX 1650. And it need to fit inside this case. For example: CX650M's length is 150mm and fits as you see in this video.

@Nihadonly not all video cards. This mb supports DDR2; DDR3; DDR4; DDR5; GDDR5 type Video cards. If your mb is ddr4 & case is bigger than mt, you can use any video card ( BUT YOU NEED UPGRADE PSU )

First you have to look at what slot it can go in and then see if you have it in your pc

That's what I mean the motherboard should be changed too Because the motherboards that prebuilt computers have can't take the much more memory. In fact there is a big chance of the old motherboard shorting out which would ruin the whole thing

I bought the GTX 1050ti before knowing it, so the only option is to buy a decent pc that runs the UEFI BIOS.
Today in running the GTX 1050ti with 16gb ram, and with a few fans, the temps are actually decent.

Robert Grant I have 16 GB of RAM in my HP Pro 3500 and it works. I also have the newest BIOS version, not sure if that makes a difference

my hp pro 3500 came with an intel pentium g2120 which is not supported on the HP website so if for some reason you cant get something to work stop saying this or that can't work as clearly the issue is not knowing what to do

DDR6 cant work in this mb. But maybe GTX 1660Ti is GDDR5 officially. And this mb supports GDDR5 GPU-s. But its not verified.
