    She did a great job. I know she was nervous but definitely knows rockets.

    Did you not see the link to the Apogee Rockets website on the wall in back of her? Did you not notice that the uploader of the video was "apogeerockets"?
    Here's a thought...go to that website and have a look around. My guess is that they might be able to help you get one of these kits. Worked for me anyway...

    Great build info. Is the drill from the 70's?

      Great thing about those drills is they never wear out, unlike the modern ones, which are designed to wear out on purpose. :(

      @@Trifler500 100%. The drills you buy now might cost $30 and the HF one I bought was literally 1 use. It went up in smoke putting in 5 drywall screws.

    What are rail buttons?

    • @apogeerockets

      They are the modern replacement for launch lugs (the little straws on the side of a rocket). They require a special rail to launch the rocket. but it results in the rocket not swaying in the wind while it is on the launch pad.

    How many of Tim's Apogee videos did she watch before she said, "Let me do one?"

    Which aeropack retainer did you use, the P or L?

    • @apogeerockets
      @apogeerockets  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For all the kits sold on ApogeeRockets.com, we have a list of tools and other parts (like retainers). It is on the kit page of the rocket you are interested in. Scroll down to the tools section on that page. You'll find the right retainer listed there.

    I'm pretty sure that the given bit size for the lower rail button is wrong. 5/16" is way too big. Looks like a 1/8" or 5/64" screw to me. Does anyone know that proper size?

    • @apogeerockets
      @apogeerockets  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the front screw you would use 3/16", since it doesn't have a weld nut.
