      @@dolwolfianphotography Hi i wanted to explore it too this November, could you give me information, the official website says you could not off season, how are you planning for this off season and what trail 5th station will you use ?

      @@ShineLeonix in fact they want to deter and scare people to don't do it offseason but no need permit or authorisation and yes planning to start from 5th Station. You need to be fit and use to mountain as it's a 3700m and could be and hope snow up there 😀Good luck and maybe will see you up there 🤟

      Hi! I feel you, it’s so hard to find a guide. Anyway, me and my husband are planning to climb Mt. Fuji on the Nov 17th with full-gears. Is the 5th station really open? I’m having a hard time researching it.

    I found the video very useful when I was preparing for my recent climb of Mt Fuji. I was advised that the normal descending route is too dangerous to use in the off-season. I had to climb back down the same route I ascended.

    This is a very cool video. Thanks for sharing. I plan to hike up Mount Fuji this mid-May. What time did you start and finish?

    • @MurphyTube

      I started a little before 7am, took about 5.5 hours to get to the summit. Then took about 4.5 hours roughly to get back to the 5th station.

    Hello! Very cool video. I wanted to ask, do you know where you can rent crampons, helmet and ice axe? I don't want to bring my own equipment.
    Which app did you use to navigate?

    • @MurphyTube

      There are places to rent the equipment although I have no clue where. I just brought my own. And I used AllTrails as always.

    Can you recommend Climbing mt Fuji in late september as an inexperienced hiker?

    • @MurphyTube

      If this is during the offseason then probably not, you should have some experience with crampons first

    can I start the climb in december from 5th station as well? what the best route this time you think?

    • @MurphyTube

      You cannn. However it will be a lot of snow cover during that time and much more difficult. I’m unsure if the road to the fifth station is open then. The standard route would likely be the best.

      5.5 hours is pretty fast! Most people take 8 hours. Was there any part that you considered scary in terms of difficulty? thank you @@MurphyTube

    • @MurphyTube

      Most of the difficulty was because of the extreme winds which you cannot really see in the video. Was hard to stay standing in some parts. Other than that it wasn’t too bad with proper crampon use and experience

    Is there are any bus going to 5 station in offseason ? Or you walk up to 5 Station.

    • @MurphyTube

      Yeah the offseason has it, not sure if year round. It would be too far of a walk from the entrance

    Headed there in June! Did you have any issues with sending in (faxing) your climbing "permit"?

    • @MurphyTube

      I think it was something I brought and was going to drop off somewhere there. No one ever asked about it and it was not clear where to place it.

      @@MurphyTube Good to know. I hear driving in Japan is pretty chaotic and difficult. I've driven many crazy places in the states...you think getting a IDP is worth it? I was thinking about getting an Uber and get there before the gates open. I'm used to alpine starts (midnight) for the mountains here in the Cascades and wondered if I take the "lower" trail of the Yoshida trail I could get on the mountain sooner than the gates open.

    • @MurphyTube

      @@mat_h driving there isn’t too bad, a little different though. I thought it was worth it. I don’t know how you would be able to use an Uber. It is a little away from bigger places and coming back it might not be drivable up unless you take an extra day. If you get there before the gates open you won’t be able to get in
