    This time I take you with me on my climb up Mt. Fuji! I apologize for the horrible audio but it was really windy up there! I hope you can still enjoy the video!
    We climbed Mt. Fuji during the 2nd last weekend before it closed for the season. Mt. Fuji is only for about 2-3 months every year so it is best to climb it during those months only. Although it's technically open the whole year, the mountain huts are closed. Are any of you guys planning on climbing Mt. Fuji? Let me know in the comments below!

However my climb was different from yours cox i did a day hike.. from 7am to 5pm. Found it tough difficult and challenging on the way up and strenuous and treacherous on the way down. Thanks! Great video! Currently looking into going myself soon (first screeching halt came when I found out the season does not even open until July ... so, I am learning step by step) ... I see your first attempt was Aug 7 last year .. so, still pretty much no tourist .. yet crappy weather ... I am thinking about some time August this year and hope it won't be too crowded yet. After seeing your trip, I am strongly reconsidering doing the other crazy suggestion of 'start going up in the afternoon and hike all night' ... the top hut does look kinda comfy for the night ...

    • @whatchuHANAdo
      @whatchuHANAdo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for watching the video! :) You can actually climb in any season(even during winter) but it's not recommended because it's not safe and also the huts will be closed off season! Last year's weather during climbing season was a little strange. It would rain only on weekends and unfortunately weekends are the only days we could climb. I feel like Fuji would be crowded any day you go, sadly...especially if you climb the Yoshida Trail. It's the easiest and most popular one so expect a long line going up to the peak! The huts are definitely cozy though also crowded...hahahaha

    I love that your video is so detailed! I don’t mind the 30-min long video at all :) just curious, how were you informed about the abortion of your ascending plans? I wondered if there were people who extended their stay at the huts to get to the summit!

      It was around 1:00AM and we were all awake and the winds were howling and it was raining pretty badly. When we got up to get ready, the staff in the lodge told us it would be too dangerous to summit as we could get blown off. I’m not sure exactly if people extended their stay but no one in our lodge extended.
      I think people can extend as long as there’s space in the lodge. Haha

    Hi, thanks for sharing this. One of the most detailed mt Fuji hikes. Do you mind asking? Coz Im planning to solo climb this on August on my birthday. My last trek was 2018, and im already mid-30s. Do you think i should join a group, or is this manageable solo hike? Also, do you recommend getting a hut reservation or just taking rest outside the hut is doable?
    PS ps, been to mt. Pulag twice, and some other rizal mountains. Thank you for answering. 😊

    • @whatchuHANAdo
      @whatchuHANAdo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello GGTP! ☺️ if you’re taking the Yoshida Route(like the one we took), it’s a manageable solo hike. Lots of people will be climbing as well so you won’t feel too lonely…BUT if you want to make new friends and have a group to guide you, then you should join a tour/group! 😊 I’m in my 30’s too and didn’t think Mt Fuji was super difficult. I do suggest exercising and all before going on your hike.
      I highly recommend getting a hut reservation! The weather on Fuji can get quite erratic and I wouldn’t want you getting caught in the winds or rain! We heard someone begging for a spot inside our hut during our first hike up and that was painful to hear. 😔
      Nice!! I’ve always wanted to climb Pulag!! It’s on my bucket list!

    How many stamps would you say will fit on the small stick? 😃
    I'll be starting from the 5th station in the Yoshida trail. I just want to plan ahead so I can fit at least 1 stamp from each station. I don't want to have the problem of running out of space when I reach the summit. I understand there are multiple huts per station and no hut on the 9th station. (Unless you count Goraikoukan in station 8.5) Thanks!

    Still pondering to go up, seems heavily overbuild and overcrowded, have you tried the other trails up? Are they less crowded? Or does it make sense to ascent over night and just descent in the morning without overnight stay?

    • @whatchuHANAdo
      @whatchuHANAdo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is quite a massive crowd but I guess it depends on if you like that or not. Some people make friends while climbing Fuji! I say it's a cool experience to climb with other people and wait for the sunrise, but if you want to avoid that, other trails will have less people. Other trails are a little harder and there will be less mountain huts meaning less toilets. Haha If you are super fit, you can go without the overnight stay!

    • @whatchuHANAdo
      @whatchuHANAdo  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For me, there are none…but it’s always best to be cautious. There’s an area between before the 7th to the 8th station where it gets pretty rocky. If you slip off, you won’t fall a long way but you will get lots of wounds and bruises, and possible get hurt badly. Some of the rocks around that area are quite sharp.
      There are narrow areas near the summit but if you stay within the barriers, you should be fine. Always just be aware of your surroundings. ☺️
