    Hey guys! I've climbed mt Fuji in September 2023, the very last week before the season 2023 was closed. If you are interested, here is a VLOG from this climb: th-cam.com/video/oPfIkwqk_HE/w-d-xo.html
    Thank you for your support!

    The no trash bins is also very popular in California. We say Pack it in, Pack it out means that whatever you bring outside with you, you bring it back with you when you leave. It’s a good concept to keep in mind when hiking most places.

    I'm sorry! I tried googling but nothing relevant came up, but what is the meat used in the curry rice? Is it a beef patty and pork sausages?
    I'm planning to summit this July and want to plan me meals for it as I don't eat beef.

      Yes, you guessed correctly - beef and pork. Vegetarian friends were carrying food with them as lodge didn't offer Vegetarian options unfortunately 😫 stay safe and have fun there! Good luck ❤️

    Hiiii! I just found your channel, and I am watching your videos about Mt. Fuji. As you can imagine, I am travelling to Japan this September, and one of the things I want to do is also climbing mount Fuji. However, I am really scared because the booking for the accommodation will open soon and last time I saw it (year 2023), they were sold out in few minutes. Any tips of how to handle and being able to book one place in the 8th station? Thanks

    • @LetsMeetJapan

      Thank you so much for watching ❤️
      That is true, it is extremely hard to get lodging. My advice to you would be (if you don't get to book by your own), hire a tour guide . They usually sell package for very reasonable price (basically price of the lodge + maybe 20%). They provide you with everything, you just basically will need to show up on time and thats it. They are the reason why it is so hard to book individually - those tour guides buy A LOT to accommodate their clients.

      @LetsMeetJapan Thanks for your response. Have you got any suggestions on guides at reasonable prices, please? I did a quick search and only found guide tours at 300+ euros or more, and that is not reasonable at all. Regards ^_^

    Hi do you suggest hiking mt. Fuji with a guide? Or we can do it ourselves ?

    • @LetsMeetJapan
      @LetsMeetJapan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thank you for watching ❤️ I would not advise hiring the guide unless you cannot book an accommodation yourself. The season is short and lodges are sold out really fast and most of them are booked by guides. If you get to book the lodge yourself, there is absolutely no need to hire a guide - the trails are well maintained, and navigation is everywhere along the trails.

      @@iranibasu8869 so sorry - this comment just never appeared as unread in my inbox. I cannot suggest the best one, as per my understanding they are all sort of the same 😅 I'd say just grab anything that is still available😉

    need help, i plan to do the Fujinomiya trail in a day n giving myself 10hrs up/down n wld like to start early like kick off 5am but i don't see any transportation from Fujinomiya Stations that leaves early, the earliest is 6.30

    • @LetsMeetJapan
      @LetsMeetJapan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! Unfortunately, it does look like there are no earlier transportation options. I will give you some options that you might want to consider:
      (1) take the first shuttle (6AM) and start your ascend right away, at about 6.40AM. It looks like it will take AT LEAST 5 hours for you to get to the top. Even if it will take 7 hours, it looks like you probably will have enough time to go up and down before the last bus. If you are late for the last bus, there MIGHT be taxi available that can take you down to the nearest town. To me, this sounds like a very stressful adventure, but we are all different - if you are looking for a quick run, maybe this is for you
      (2) do what most of the bullet climbers do: start your hike at night. I believe, if you take the very last bus (8PM), you will reach the 5th station at about 8:40PM. You will have some time to adjust to the altitude, stretch, maybe even have a small snack. Start your hike at around midnight so you reach the top for the sunrise. This is honestly the absolute best moment of the climb: the sunrise and walk around the crater. If you have a chance - please do it! Its by far the best views in my life
      (3) maybe consider staying overnight? not gonna push this option, obviously you know better. I am just strongly advocating for the safest possible approach (this is what Japan does to you haha!)
      hope that helps! Good luck with you climb!

      @@LetsMeetJapan hay appreciate the feedback. my wife will be hiking w me n option 2 at night might b too cold for her plus u don't get to see anything. seeing sunrise is not a priority for me n staying overnight is an option but as we are on a tight budget we are going to bight the bullet n trying our best to do it in a day. according to the literature it says 5 up n 3 dwn, so m giving myself 10hrs 7up 3 dwn, its the wife who is the slow one lol

      Actually going downhill might be even tougher than ascending 😅

    • @LetsMeetJapan
      @LetsMeetJapan  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @krisietongable and that is precisely why I have ZERO footage from the way down 😂 It was still much quicker to get back down, but THE PAIN WAS REAL!
