Thank You very much ,I am going to have to sing this song in church in a few days and with these tips and techniques you have given me I am sure I will sing good .Thank you again really...
I did not know there was a perfect channel I needed! I am leading King of Kings today and your video helped me a lot. I am looking forward to seeing other videos! You are a great vocal coach!
also very gratefull, also gotta sing this song next Sunday in my church in the Netherlands. you've already helped my multiple times whit different songs! Thank you for doing this!!!!!!!!!
God is a right on time God! I was just assigned Sunday to learn and lead this one this coming Sunday, and I was looking for technique to give it the vocal dynamic these deep truths that Scripture deserves!
Thank you so much for this video! It is a gem! I had one singing teacher who taught very similar to you! But he used nay, mum, and buh. He also tried to teach me about the head, chest, and pharyngeal, but I couldn’t get it at the time.
You're welcome! Yes - there are many coaches who teach these concepts, as they are rooted in Speech Level Singing and Singing Success techniques (I was trained in Singing Success!).
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I’m leading this song at my church and this song is out of my range and i was FREAKING out on the word ‘majesty’. Your tools were so helpful! Thank you!!
I'm leading this for this Sunday's 2 services. I've led this song before, but have not used this tutorial yet. This was extremely helpful. Thank you. You are so right that the song can get monotonous if not done with a lot of different dynamics. I was worried about that until I listened to this tutorial. Thank you so much.
I was asked to sing this on Sunday and usually the soprano on our team does it just fine. I'm an Alto voice and Majesty is a struggle but I should be able to pull it off with the tips you are sharing. Thank you for explaining dynamics so the song has movement.
I am singing this for Trinity Sunday, this Sunday. Thank you so much. I am alto so majesty was giving me a little problem. You are awesome. Trinidad watching.
Many thanks for covering this song. It was helpful and all your videos are amazing. I have since transferred my learning to similar songs. My family think I am high when I go around the house singing in the noos, nays and buhs 😂🤣
This was incredibly helpful for every section of the song! Thank you so much!! I’m amazed at your knowledge & how these exercises are spot on for finding the tones. Finding freedom by every video I watch. I tell all my friends to check your channel out!!
Hey, thanks so much for this Charmain! Singing this for Sunday worship and this was super helpful. You are incredible! Been praying you're doing good, haven't seen any new you tube videos in a while from ya, hope you're just busy with the WV website/classes. 💛
Thanks for the encouragement! Haha yes, I’m doing well-I’ve been busy launching my coaching program these past months, so I haven’t been able to upload much content to TH-cam! Thanks for checking in!
I did a Google search, "breathing techniques to sing King of Kings by Hillsong," and came across your video. AMAZING! I got so much more. Thank you for sharing your gift, talent, and expertise! Do you have any tips about breath control in this song? I'm struggling with the build in verses 3 and 4 and sustaining the power. Thank you!
Hey! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I don't have specific breathing tips for this song - what you will need is to develop healthy breathing skills overall - taking in relaxed, diaphragmatic breaths and not shallow chest breaths. However - working on resonance (developing chest and head voice, and mix voice techniques) is actually the thing that is most needed to sustain power!
V1
In the darkness, we were waiting
Without hope, without light
'Til from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
C1
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
V2
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in Your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake You died
C2
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
V3
And the morning that You rose
All of Heaven held its breath
'Til that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who'd come
To the Father are restored
V4
And the church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel, shall not faint
By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me, ohh
C3
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
Praise forever to the King of Kings
Thank you!!!
