I first found this song during what I call “the greatest time” of my life. I had a fun job, met and let some foreign exchange students move in with me. It was such a beautiful time. Had some good times with both my parents. But soon after the kids went home to China. My mother passed away and so did my dad. I quit the job and it took awhile to find my footing. But I just finished school and I now have a daughter. Sorry for the long post. But seriously this song brings tears to my eyes. Reminds me of the good times and the people that have also moved on. Thank you Mat Kearney.

A couple of days after the funeral and I was listening to this song and fell asleep. In my dream I was with him, just hanging out in the living room. We just sat there and talked, I told him about school, the family, and how much I missed him. After I told him that it started raining and flooding in the room, and I started crying saying how much I missed him. He hugged me tight and said "I have to go, but it's okay. I love you so much Sara". When I woke up I started crying because it was so real and he remembered my name. I truly believe it was him and a gift from God. I love you Grandpa Tracy.

You know what, his songs are so perfect for a late night drive or a late night road trip while you sleep in the back as your parents are driving. Ships in The Night, Nothing Left to Lose, and Sooner or Later are SO perfect for that. I once took a class trip that was a few hours away so we had a road trip. When we were going home at 3 in the morning, I just listened to those 3 songs alternately and closed my eyes. Such a perfect tune for those scenarios.

I remember I weirdly found this song when it first came out. I was asleep but not all the way sleep. I was dreaming and I forget what it was about, but I could hear this song but it wasn’t being played in my dream I heard it in the real world. I remember I weirdly found this song when it first came out. I was asleep but not all the way sleep. I was dreaming and I forget what it was about, but I could hear this song but it wasn’t being played in my dream I heard it in the real world. When I wake up I hear the last little minute or so of this song on my radio I used to have and used to fall asleep listening to. Very strange way to be introduced to a song and I’m sure this doesn’t happen often with a lot of people too.

just wanna say.. we've been playing this song for our son since he's been born.. he loves it so much.. and now it's the only thing that will calm him down when he's crying. it's magic :) now he's 1,5 years old, and he wants to watch this song on youtube many times a day and he copies all your moves and since yesterday he's starting to sing along as well!! it's so awesome!! he can't talk yet but it's very clear that he's singing along. And this morning, as I got back into the car after grabbing something he was singing it to himself. so cute!! You have a very big little fan in our house.
