Thank you for mentioning that the QBs who were successful rushing on the Georgia Defense were more of a threat throwing that Leonard. I think ND is already somewhat of a rush first pass second team and because of the soft schedule they haven’t had to be balanced. To beat Georgia, they will have to be successful at both.

@@stephenrose4558 bowl eligible lol 6 wins is bowl eligible. How about ranked teams? How about top 15 teams? How about top 5 teams? Georgia checks all them and their lesser opponents were “bowl eligible”
UGA ran through the toughest schedule in the country 11-2, Notre Dame's loss to NIU at home 12-1, so they are well rested with the 17th toughest schedule. This will be the Fighting Irish's toughest test. Georgia faced 4 playoff teams and beat them every time. Sure Notre Dame may match up physically, but mentally they will be tested like never before this season. If the Irish win they will have to earn it. And yes UGA is the healthiest it's been all season, having the extra time to prepare and Georgia's resiliency all season are huge factors for the Sugar Bowl. Georgia pulls away in the 4th 34-20, doubling the 1981 Sugar Bowl score.

@@lvli044honestly, whether or not UGA’s schedule should be considered the hardest in college football can definitely be up for debate. However, there is no way to compare their schedule to ND’s. ND is a good team and I believe that, but they definitely had a cake walk to a 11-1 regular season.
@@chasehampton3370 I'm just here to say debating schedules is silly. 12 D1 football games against mostly p4 opponents is no cakewalk. This preview has been out half the time as the other "early previews" and the viewership is already much higher. Georgia is the biggest brand in CFB these days. Views whether online or on tv prove it. Who cares if the OSUs and Michigan's of the world have bigger alumni bases.
Going to be a fight. We’ve got to go down there with the two captains of the defensive front and backs out so I’d say nd has more of a step up moment than Georgia at this point. Georgias the real deal, much respect. North vs. South let’s go baby!

While I agree that everyone is going to raise there level of play, it’s a playoff game. I think that’s more applicable to just a regular season game not a loser goes home for both teams. I’ll be hoping PSU gets to the finals but I don’t believe it!!
Actually not. It was stated many times by national pundits that Georgia would’ve been favored against all 4 playoff teams last year. And they beat fsu by 60.
Josh, you called ND one dimensional. They average just 24 more yards per game rushing than they do passing. Notre Dame runs just 8 more rushing plays per game than they do passing plays. That's just 2 more runs per Qtr than passes. In fact, with just over 35 rushing attempts per game, ND is ranked 75th in rushing attempts per game - behind Oregon (36.1), Penn State (37.8), Boise State (39.8), Texas (36.7) and Arizona St. (41.7). Those teams don't get the same disclaimer. Eight teams in the playoffs run the ball at least 35x per game - in addition to the ones that are listed, you can add Tennessee (45.4) and Clemson (35.1). ND being one dimensional was a key assumption of your prediction. Teams facing ND will face a relatively balanced offense, and running the ball effectively 35-40x per game seems to be the leading model for playoff teams.
GA will want to make them one demensional. They are going to make Leonard beat them. ND will HAVE to be able to run the ball to win this game or maybe even keep it close. If GA shuts down their run game and make them one demensional, then then the defense can pin their ears back and tee off on Leonard and make him uncomfortable all game. Blows my mind that people dont realize that Indiana is not GA, even with no Beck, this is not indiana. Not even a tiny bit close. Holes will close faster, defense will be fast, bigger, LBs will be 4-5 star guys who run 4.4s. OL that avg 315lbs, DL that is pretty big too. Elite safeties etc. At least 2 or 3 running backs that are NFL caliber. At least 2. Frazier and Etienne will definitely be playing on Sundays, maybe even Roderick Robinson had he not been injured most the year. Who is healthy now. NO one on Indiana is getting their name called in the draft in the first 2 rounds...no one. Maybe not even the first 3-4 rounds. GA has quite a few of those guys....like man....a good bit.

The NIU slogan is old. Not to mention it’s a lazy argument and analysis. This is not the same team that lost to NIU. This is the team that has beat the brakes off teams for 11 consecutive wins since. This is the team that beat 5 ranked teams this year. Lastly, this is the team that beat Georgia Tech easily, we didn’t need 8 overtime’s to do so.
@@phillipcusic6599 you probably said that Alabama team that lost to Texas was the same Alabama team that beat Georgia. nothing changed about the team. the coaching changed. they still lost.
@ no I didn’t say that. I simply stated that your analysis is lazy and you need a different angle. Not to mention we are better than Alabama. I expect a good game between Georgia and my Fighting Irish. If Georgia were to win it’s because they are a great program and Kirby Smart is a hell of a coach. But if you think this game will be a blowout or that ND is not capable of winning you are delusional. This Notre Dame team is athletic, fast, and physical. You should try watching football outside of the SEC and quit being a smart ass….it may benefit you.
As long as Georgia doesn’t play like they did against Ole Miss, I think they’ll win a low-scoring rock fight 17-13 or something similar. If they come out like they did against Tennessee or 2nd half Clemson, they’ll win by double digits. I’ll lean towards the former.
Eh, it matters. When you are used to playing elite talent all year long, like the bamas etc with all the 1st and 2nd rounders on their teams...even their depth is and then you play a team like ND that has maybe 3-4 2nd rounders on their entire roster who have not played a caliber of team all year to the likes of what GA has played. Makes a difference. They are better prepared and used to playing against monsters who will be playing in the NFL. I mean that stuff prepares you in technique and mentally.
Riley Leonard. Jeremiah love. Xavier watts. Jadarian price. Leonard Moore. Jordan faison. Mitchell evans. Nd simply has more playmakers than Georgia, and at the most important skill positions. You simply base ur thoughts on Stockton being fine. He won’t be. And even if he is, he’s not pacing Riley Leonard with his weapons.
As a GA fan, I don't believe that GA would win by 20+ points over ND. Previous ND games in 2017 and 2019 were close games and those were coached by Brian Kelly. Freeman is a step up in quality as far as coaching goes and this year, there are better talent on ND roster - several players are from State of Georgia - same ones that Coach Smart tried to sign to our team.
ND has a defense just as good as Texas, but have a mobile qb and they can run the ball better than GT. I think a lot Georgia fans are underestimating how good this ND team is this year. Brian Kelly isn’t the head coach anymore
As a GA fan, this game is 50-50 odds for me personally. There are too many unknowns on Georgia side with Gunner. He has the physicality and grit. Not sure about his ability to process information and make good decisions. Not saying Gunner cannot do those things but I have not seen him enough. Also, previous ND games in 2017 and 2019 were close games and those were coached by Brian Kelly. Freeman is a step up in quality as far as coaching goes and this year, there are better talent on ND roster - several players are from State of Georgia - same ones that Coach Smart tried to sign to our team.
This is the same as years ago when Notre Dame played Alabama I got smoked like a pack of kools. Notre Dame has been relevant years army and navy and Indiana doesn’t really prove that they are good. I’m hoping ordering Win so if Penn State win, they play them, but my head knows the truth and George will win by probably three touchdowns but you never know.
Rylie Mills absence is a bridge too far. Just too many injuries in that defense this year. At some point Georgia's 5-stars will overcome Notre Dame's 4-stars.
Just like ohio state vs Tennessee, the story of this game will be blue chip ratio Notre dame does take a physical back to georgia if Georgia plays their best ball. I suspect they will
You might wanna compare their schedules again. UGA literally played the toughest schedule in the country. They beat 3 playoff teams. Texas twice. ND’s best wins are Army and A&M lol
If Notre Dame loses badly, it’s finally time for them to change it up. Join a conference or get a better schedule, staying undefeated with easy opponents and then meeting reality in a bowl game defines that program
"Get a better schedule" This is such a lazy argument. ND just finished a home and home with Ohio State. They opened the season *at* TAMU this year. They open the season *at* Miami next year. It's not their fault FSU and USC fell way short of Top 10 expectations. "Join a conference" What would this accomplish, exactly? More games where they blow the doors of teams like IU, as they did last Friday? I love when people repeat the same worthless drivel about ND's schedule. Sorry you don't like it. It's not changing anytime soon.
Indiana was in the ND backfield all game, just imagine what the Georgia defense is gonna do, also Riley Leonard is an incredibly slow QB and that Georgia defense swarms when in the backfield. Georgia's defense wins this game for the Dawgs with 2-3 turnovers forced by a pressured QB running for his life.
Riley Leonard is one of the best rushing qbs in the country and perhaps the best in the country at escaping pressure. Georgia may win, they may win big, but they’re not winning due to Leonard being slow lmfao
Leonard is the best rushing QB in America and this idiot thinks he’s slow lol the dude is crazy athletic and much faster than he looks on tape. He’s almost 6’6” tall and takes massive strides. Two steps for him is basically a first down lmao
If Georgia loses it will be because of coaching. ND doesn’t have the caliber of players to beat Georgia. At least depth wise. Riley Leonard doesn’t seem to being playing at a level that would beat a Kirby smart defense. I’m a bama fan so trust me I know what kind of play it takes to beat Georgia. We’ve done 5 out of the last 6 with 2 different coaches lol RTR.
@ yep they had a bye week we didn’t, but we also have a first year head coach so we have an excuse. Lol. If we win our bowl game Deboer would have won 10 games in his first season now nobody could’ve imagined that. After losing the goat. I exodus to go 8-4
Your argument about team rallying around a backup could be true - time will tell. But where was this argument last year for FSU? A backup disqualified them from even getting in the CFP.
Had Georgia lost the SEC championship game the same thing may have kept them out. They won the SEC championship though. Georgia was automatically in. The whole QB thing didn’t matter. FSU got screwed last season in my opinion but there is a difference.
they rallied behind 2 qbs and they both were garbage even so to where norvell started calling wildcat plays a lot to not even have them receive the snap
What argument for FSU last year ?!?! They proved beyond ANY shadow of doubt that there was no need of any arguments ! They proved it when the players quit on their team and they proved it when they got a big fat 63 hung on them ! Then folks felt sorry and pre season ranked them #10. Well the Noles went and proved it yet again by winning exactly 2 games all season. You need to let go of the FSU whining… RTR
I'm the furthest thing from an ND fan but if I have to listen to one more lazy argument about a loss in early September I'm gonna pull my hair out. You gotta go deeper in analysis if you want to do comparisons like that. Additionally, GT OC is Buster Faulkner. He was on the coaching staff at Georgia during the 2 championship teams. "Toughest schedule in the country" wasn't a real thing.

So that leaves us with Texas. Congrats.
@wesleyglenn5787 i respect all that. I think you're right. But the same is true for Notre Dame, who is peer or near peer in every category. Only this time, UGA doesn't have a better QB.

I think these 4 games will have 2 blow outs and 2 close competitive games. This Georgia-ND will be a slugfest and low scoring unless TOs and special teams play big parts. Both teams now have QBs that don’t make Big Plays, better runners than passers. And the Oregon-OSU game, Wow!

This is going to be a close game
Riley L is not the same as Milroe or Haynes King lol
bet NIU said the same thing
The NIU slogan is old. Not to mention it’s a lazy argument and analysis. This is not the same team that lost to NIU. This is the team that has beat the brakes off teams for 11 consecutive wins since. This is the team that beat 5 ranked teams this year. Lastly, this is the team that beat Georgia Tech easily, we didn’t need 8 overtime’s to do so.
@@phillipcusic6599 you probably said that Alabama team that lost to Texas was the same Alabama team that beat Georgia. nothing changed about the team. the coaching changed. they still lost.

I have the feeling that UGA will play a lights-out game and ND won't be able to sustain drives, 28-13 is my prediction for UGA
Dawgs will be healthy and dialed in.
If nd can force uga to pass they could have multiple pics.
Picked Georgia to win on 1/20 +525...with or without Beck their "D" and Kirby will get it done. Go Dawgs!
Notre dame don’t bleed the same as the GA boys
Game will be dictated on how UGA handles the QB rpo, and if Notre Dame can make UGA’s QB feel the pressure.
If Notre Dame does ND things per usual then UGA will win unceremoniously by 20 points. Really doesn't matter what ND believes.
@ none of that matters, they are who they are and will be exactly that forever.
ND has a defense just as good as Texas, but have a mobile qb and they can run the ball better than GT. I think a lot Georgia fans are underestimating how good this ND team is this year. Brian Kelly isn’t the head coach anymore
Nptre Dame I believe played a Haynesless Georgia Tech
As a GA fan, this game is 50-50 odds for me personally. There are too many unknowns on Georgia side with Gunner. He has the physicality and grit. Not sure about his ability to process information and make good decisions. Not saying Gunner cannot do those things but I have not seen him enough. Also, previous ND games in 2017 and 2019 were close games and those were coached by Brian Kelly.
