Your consistent analysis that Notre Dame has to pass or Notre Dame has to have the explosive play or Notre Dame can’t manufacture turnovers is so flawed. We continue to do the exact opposite of what you say we “need” to do and we keep winning. This offensive identity isn’t shifting so maybe it’s time you shift yours and understand that the big explosive play isn’t the only way to win. That we can bait defenses into turnovers. That we can pass the ball but it’s not always the 50 yard bomb. Again, keep doubting cuz you’ve been very wrong but try and see the game plan from outside of your very “experienced” play calling perspective
Explosive plays have been enormously important for ND’s wins. The Georgia game was decided by a TD on a short field following a fumble and a kickoff return TD. The late TD against PSU was an explosive pass caused by a fallen defender. The outcomes of both games could have been different without those explosive plays.
I am a Notre Dame fan. I can't say what I think will happen. I have to say what I hope will happen. Thats the disclaimer. Here's the fan: I dont care if they lose 49-0. Fight. This is the game. There is no tomorrow. This team never should have been here and it will never be back together again. Look at the men next to you and steel your nerves. Then Fight. Fight hard, fight clean, and do not quit. Fight to find the yard when you need it, Fight when you need a tackle. Fight when you need to deflect or catch a pass. I know you know how to win. It's hard to get here, and you have a chance. The score starts 0-0 and you can hold the trophy. You can do it. But do not lay down. Fight. Fight there's no tomorrow, because as a team you have no tomorrow.

Pretty sure Texas played man on him and held him to 3 yards. But that gave other receivers/running backs a chance to step up. Correct me if I’m wrong tho
@WhitneyGadison1 pretty sure Texas is known for playing a 90% zone of some type scheme. They rolled at least one safety over to his side on every snap, and occasionally, added a LB. And you are correct, when you pay that much attention to 1 WR, it opens up space for others...especially when the others are as talented as Egbuka and Tate. I still think Chip Kelly missed out on a lot of opportunities to dump the ball to Treveyon Henderson in the flat. He was 1on1 with a LB in space and that is a mismatch all day. You saw his burst on the 75 yard screen.

@ aw so a pipe dream 😴 got it 🤣🤣🤣 it’s more likely ND doesn’t score a TD than those 4 things happen
@@sascott1987 Last year with MARVIN HARRISON OSU scored 17. Name one player this year on OSU better than Marvin Harrison? How is OSU going to score 3 TD's? I realize OSU has better talent but they did last year too and it took all the way to the end to beat ND.
It's going to take a perfect game for ND. GO IRISH☘️☘️☘️
I’m betting $10 on Notre Dame, as a Buckeye fan I’m winning something from this😂
Hopefully this time ND remembers that you need 11 players on the field at all times. No gifting OSU a TD at the end because you can't count.
That said, won't matter. OSU 41-17.
Yeah Notre Dame is a great story and I really do respect them......Ohio State is going to beat the hell out of Notre Dame. I am a Ohio State fan, I think the only team that can beat us right now is ❌ ichigan, and thats with us playing the same way we did earlier this year. If we just throw the ball all over the field.....good luck to any team
I’ll be back to this comment 1/21/25!!
@DaiyonYarmeto Bart Scott "Can't wait" lol
@@DaiyonYarmetoOSU fans setting themselves up big time….idk if Irish win but if they even keep it close it makes a bunch of these guys look silly. And if the Irish pull off the upset? Oh boy that’s gonna be a great day to be on social media. There’s nothing to lose for the Irish at this point. All the pressure on OSU
What's your batting average so far Josh?
@@scottpoling5521fell down? Nah more like Jaden Greathouse juked two defenders right outta their shoes 😂
Well they’re really not calling holding on OSU either so there’s that
TCU messed that up that point differential
Thanks Josh, you are like the Jim Cramer (CNBC stock guy) of College Football. Whatever you predict, bet the opposite and get rich! Go Irish!
We’re a whole different animal than Penn State buddy
@@jakobhazeltine2688you’re not gonna win the game in the TH-cam comment section
@@jakobhazeltine2688looked pretty damn similar to me. Took a last second interception to be the ones to score the winning field goal
Jim Cramer makes people a lot of money, just not in the way he thinks!
21 - 17 Irish
Expect lots of running the ball and clock eating. 🍀
I am a Notre Dame fan. I can't say what I think will happen. I have to say what I hope will happen. Thats the disclaimer. Here's the fan:
I dont care if they lose 49-0. Fight. You are the fighting Irish. Fight. They can't be tackled. Fight. They can't be blocked. Fight. They run when they want on anyone. Fight. No one runs against them. Fight. You can't pass.
Georgia tcu game skews the championship average. UGA won by 60 points
Ryan Day always differs anyways always takes the ball second half. So he don’t need your advice.
Idc if it’s a high or low scoring game, Notre dame by 3.
Let’s go he picked against the Irish again haha! GO IRISH ☘️
Ohio State is not taking anybody lightly. They’re gonna come out and punch Notre Dame in the face and keep swinging😂 Notre Dame don’t stand a chance
N D does stand a chance but I don't think it'll be a blowout from the start but will be a sloooow burn w/ OSU eventually winning by perhaps 17. OSU has a D that won't be pushed around
@@anthonyaliberti you said that about Michigan
See how you feel on 1/21/25!! No excuses
Big difference. Kyle mcord
notre dame gonna win
Just keep on picking the other team
Average margin of victory HEAVILY inflated by TCU Georgia
Paraphrasing Jermiah Smith before Oregon..."if you play man, you're toast". PLEASE play man ND, I beg you!
Many of us just can't afford tickets to the national championship. I will be cheering from home. GO BUCKEYES!!!
Nothing wrong with that as long as you’re cheering them on!
The best thing ND can do is keep OSU off the field. They need long, sustained drives. The unheralded hero for OSU is their defense. I don't see ND offense being able to keep pace. OSU 27 ND 17
No, bruh, OSU has a D that is VERY heralded!!!!
Feel like Ohio State is just playing at Higher Level. 31 - 17 Kind of Game. Not a fan of either team and really don't like either one so don't care who wins..
Ohio state fans getting all giddy and talking smack about potentially beating a severely injured and depleted ND team. Calm down. ND still made it to the championship. End of story
Osu won first playoff game by 4 scores...second one by 3 scores and semis by 2 scores. Not sure the irish can do that well in any matchup player for player . Only metric favoring ND might be the head coach. Thats about it
This is revenge for undefeated OSU not being given the chance to blowout nd in the 2012 final because players exchanged their own jerseys for tatoos. Imagine that now.
I don't think it will be a 20 point win. I say 10 points. OSU wins 🎉
Backing Notre Dame + 8.5
Opinions vary, you've been wrong quite often too
Best of Luck
Well if OSU Qb had not made a few key runs and Texas's Coach had not made stupid play calls we would be talking Texas right now that's about the swing in the whole game. And if you think OSU's Qb is going to make key runs against ND'd Defence lol he will have a few more bumps to contend with if he trys that and I would not even compair coaches between Texas and ND Mr. Freeman is BOSS!!!! and soon OSU will find out again how 2nd place feels like ND 35 OSU 24
You are 0-3, make it 0-4!
Obviously everyone is picking OSU to win. They should. But let it be known that if, and it’s a massive if, but if ND finds a way to win this game, this should go down as the most impressive national championship ever. No team is doing more with less this year. ND is so depleted it isn’t even funny.
Irish by a million ☘️
Your analysis is flawed the moment you said Ohio st can’t be stoped.
I just cant see anyone beating tOSU this year. It pains me to say that.
Hahahaha what do you mean? They've been beat twice.
@ - Something snapped in them after that Michigan loss. They went super sayain after that. 21M dollar team.
@@reyb1649 yea but what you said still doesn't make sense. That you don't see anyone beating OSU this year, as if it's the preseason.
Michigan beat Ohio State. Set the edge and own the line.
28-24 Irish
Hope you are wrong...yet again, about the game's outcome. Go Irish!
I just don’t see how Notre Dame scores. I think Ohio State wins this game by 3 or 4 scores. ND can’t play man on OSU. OSU’s DL will beat up on ND’s surviving front. I don’t think ND’s QB makes it to halftime. 42-10
Joel Klatt is much better than Pate. Pate has sold out and does this to get clicks and be safe. He knows he cant compare either of these teams to their 1.5 year old counterpart. But SEC fans think the team that beat GA has to be the best. No way they lose, right? No way the SEC was poop this year. Do better Josh.
