The Honda CBX 1000 was manufactured by Honda from 1978 to 1982, with a 1047cc inline six-cylinder engine producing 105 bhp (78 kW), it was the flagship of the Honda range. Most of them ended up in Europe where they were well-received by motorcycle enthusiasts. One of my uncles had one with a 6 into 1 Martin exhaust, i remember it sounded so badass. You can pick one up today for about $25.000 in Sweden. Same thing with the Kawasaki Z1000/Z1 (I had another uncle how has the Z1000/Z1 and it was my personal favorite.)

Metric 1000cc bikes sound and perform like monsters!!! Would love to hear a CBX in person!

The shop owner (name?) was on point. We all desire to own what we couldn't afford in our youth. Only by the time we are old enough to afford the bike of our dreams the body has a few things to say about it. 😂

Watching movies as a kid in the 80's I can fully understand Ervin's fear of gas tankers exploding. 😀

Man… the CBX is a great powerful 1 liter bike. I’ve seen a stock one at the Honda museum in Torrance. Definitely a Honda relic.

Cafe racer dude here from your moto beach classic video.
CBX is one of if not the greatest Japanese bike ever made. 6 cylinder with 6 carburetors. Dual over head cam with a 9,000 rpm redline. They’re famous for imitating a f1 car when fitted with a 6 into 1 header. In 1978 it was the world’s fastest production bike. They only made them from 79-82.
We should link up at this years moto beach classic. I heard a rumor that a CBX might show up this year.

Before I bought my CB750K back in the day, i tested out a 750F. I nearly pooped my chute at the extra power. Ervine vs tankers is a little weird, & funny. Wheels look great imho

If you tighten the round, knurled part of the choke knob, the choke will stay pulled out. If that makes sense. It’s in the service manual🤙🏼
