Nah, my childhood is still shattered, thanks to his accuser taking away the memories that I had growing up watching him since the Amanda show. It's disgusting how much support she has received in the past couple of years because she simply claimed that she was sexually assaulted by this man, when in reality she was only upset over the fact that he had ignored and blocked her on Instagram after finding her out about her age. I think this video with Drake explaining the situation should be mandatory watching for anyone who has ever blown the case out of proportion. All the tabloids and other press who bashed on him, calling him a dangerous predator, not a single one reported the truth when it came out. I want to believe he’s innocent and I would, if this were a one time accusation. But did we forget that three of his ex girlfriends came out to say that he abused them? @@smj7773 there's no evidence. The witnesses said they were backstage all the time and nothing happened and Drake was never alone with the girl. Even the girl's aunt confirmed she lied. She kept going to Drake's shows after he "abused" her, she went to 9 additional concerts after she filed a police report. The situation is horrible.
The complication comes from the fact that the texts were sexual in nature and he was married, so that's at least one lie on his part (which he is open about now that's he was caught). There's no evidence for the nudes that the girl claimed, so that's at least one lie on her part. It's hard to know the truth when one person is lying and claiming the other one is lying.
I don’t know if he is innocent or not but the entire story is actually very typical and important for people to realize. A lot of SAers were victims themselves as children and it is a cycle that perpetuates itself often. That’s why it’s important to talk about it and obviously the goal is to prevent it but allowing victims to feel that they can speak up can be important to them getting the help they need so that they don’t perpetuate this cycle

She was 15 when he texted her. She's not still underage, in court she was 19, now she must be about 23. Where did you even get this information about "12 y.o."? Check your source. I'm not trying to say it was right to text her when she was 15, but just wanted to make sure you have the correct information about his case, because many internet articles have been providing wrong information for years and making his case look way worse than it actually was. Absolutely wild how I'm only now just finding out he's innocent. All the tabloids and other press who bashed on him, calling him a dangerous predator, not a single one reported the truth when it came out. Headlines when he was getting his name dragged through the mud, but when it's found out she straight up lied I didn't hear anything. I always believed him too. It’s times like this you learn whose there for you and who isn’t. Josh did absolutely nothing to support him. Like I get it, I don’t expect them to always be together 24/7, they have their own life and things going. But the least they can do is show compassion and support each other.
I do think the only stupid thing he did in this situation was he blocked the girl instead of apologizing for not knowing her age and asking to just not contact each other anymore. James Franco had a similar incident and that's what he did, even talked on Live with Kelly and Michael about it once.

In 2020 when I heard this news I was very confused and thought that it can be true because who would lie about abuse but later the whole internet saw how Amber Heard lied about abuse, we saw how Sidney falsely accused Drake Bell and was caught lying in court, and some other cases. Turns out false accusations towards famous people are more common than we thought. If Drake was falsely accused once, he can be falsely accused twice, looks like he has a bad luck with it. The complication comes from the fact that the texts were sexual in nature and he was married, so that's at least one lie on his part (which he is open about now that's he was caught). There's no evidence for the nudes that the girl claimed, so that's at least one lie on her part. It's hard to know the truth when one person is lying and claiming the other one is lying.

I don’t know if he is innocent or not but the entire story is actually very typical and important for people to realize. A lot of SAers were victims themselves as children and it is a cycle that perpetuates itself often. That’s why it’s important to talk about it and obviously the goal is to prevent it but allowing victims to feel that they can speak up can be important to them getting the help they need so that they don’t perpetuate this cycle

I'm not trying to say it was right to text her when she was 15, but just wanted to make sure you have the correct information about his case, because many internet articles have been providing wrong information for years and making his case look way worse than it actually was. The best thing to do is to watch official sentencing video until the end, also there's a recently uploaded video of the witnesses explaining the situation, it can be helpful too

People plead guilty when they're innocent often. If they can't afford lawyer fees for one, you do know fighting q false allegation costs money. Drake didn't have that money.
