The dynamic range surpasses Studio Master Tape ! " - I have backed up many LPs to VHS HIFI and I was not aware of such numbers but my ears really loves it.
Amazing! This was my wish for decades ..thank you, sir. I am not capable to make it on my own, so it is refreshing to see someone who did it. Congratulations, again!
That was an excellent presentation thank you for sharing your thoughts and the development of a solution for older VHS VCR high speed drum head recorders / players.
M Daar daar kan ik alleen maar diep voor buigen. Wat een enorme klus geweldig ... bavaria vanavond ga ik het nogmaals bekijken ..ik was nu alleen maar benieuwd naar
What immediately caught my eye was the Samsung Horizon Box With VU Meters On It I Actually Made A PC With It Out Of A Dying Thinkcentre And After Alot Of Case Modding A Bit Of Glueing It Sounds Like A Leaf Blower But It Is A Functional PC
1:29 This is a nitpick but I'm not toı sure if CDs have any measurable wow (flutter too but that can happen with the amps or cables). If it did, I think we'd have bigger problems than the pitch of the audio changing.
@@visagemsc It was, a (super) VHS like cassette and tape. ADAT was / is fully digital. This video describes a analog system, a great difference. There's nothing wrong with digital alla 2024!
@@TheoFaberI was just pointing out the fact that Alesis being a small company, wouldn't want to deal with making and manufacturing their own format as it would be way too expensive and they would rather use a well-established format that wouldn't make it an easy target for the RIAA or any other music punlishing organization looking to put an embargo on the media format, though recordig analog audio on any VHS tape is way more interesting in the days of digital sound's ubiquity.

Your English is easy to understand, don't apologize for it. I love this project!
2:57 this editing style with the oscilloscope waveform overlaid is so nostalgic.. great work!
I am to from 'that' age...
Thank you very much for a very interesting and vivid explanation of complex things! Congratulations for a great finished project!

So - i am not the only one....!
How does this circuit differ from standard VHS Hi-Fi?
See part 1 of this serie. Big difr is - no video so HiFi is no longer erased, higher carriers, no compression or dolby, low pré emphasis.
It is no secret that people have used VHS to master audio😊

Is there an RF (FM) limiter inside your demodulator chip?
Yes there is, 8 stages of it, 10uV - 10mV input.
als ziggo de horizon box maar niet weer terug wil hebben ineens :)
Das idd een probleem, totaal niet aan gedacht ...
@@TheoFaberik heb er hier nog ene kun je die meegeven 😅
🙄🧐ah Ham...they have more brain
A DATs...looked just like vcr...tape..
Yes it das - although ADAT is digital...
I think ADAT was just VHS tape. Way easier to get than the DATs which were taxed to hell by RIAA.
