These reactions are just making me remember how much i loved this show. The teacher's rap club XD. Glad the teachers do have something to bond over, albeit probably not the time with the broken down bus.
I have recently learned that Tessa Ludwick, the actress that played as Jennifer Tu in this show and this episode in particular, also played as Katie (one of the Character Counts! Kids) for the "Kids for Character" home video campaign around a decade before. When it comes to other shows, she also played as Kim in "Big Bag" (which aired on Cartoon Network of all channels), Denise in "That's So Raven," and Vicky in "Zoey 101." She was also involved in a Disney Channel short "Movie Surfers" as one of the teenagers reporting on Disney movies. She's been around among the mid-to-late 90s and 2000s in the acting department, even if it isn't much.
As far as where I am from, Texas, the school district here keeps doors open as long as after school clubs are running, which is usually up to two hours after the school bell rings. My mom was a teacher for the district so she would stay after to do lesson plans and sometimes even help other teachers work on theirs which would make her frequently late picking me up even if I wasn't participating in a club that day so I definitely appreciate it. The heat can get unbearable at times. A great reaction as always, please keep it up. Looking forward to Season 2.
My bus has been late a couple of times when I was in 3rd grade. The school I went to usually has an announcement speaker telling the students what bus number has arrived. When the number has been announced, the students who rides that specific bus number would leave their classroom and head to the front door to board their bus. If one bus hasn't been announced yet and is late, the announcement would tell the students to come to the front hall of the school right after all the other buses have been called. When my bus was late, my anxiety went sky high because I had that fear that it wasn't going to come and I was going to be stuck in the school all night. It may sound silly nowadays, but it definitely was a scary moment back then.
7:13 I remember when I was in middle school we had this thing called the after school curfew where the students 10 minutes after the final bell had to be off the school campus to avoid any mischievousness (unless you were doing something involving a teacher) but if they caught you wandering on campus 10 minutes after the final bell that was an automatic detention. This was only at my middle school not high school.
I take a community bus to get to and from work. I work until 2pm and sometimes my bus picks me up late. And sometimes I can't get a ride and I'll have to call my dad or someone to pick me up
Once again it was great to rewatch this classic with you and hearing your commentary! I seem to remember at the first middle school I went to they had a second wave of busses to pick up kids who stayed for after school activities. I want to say it was two hours after school ends when those busses would show up. I can't remember if that was something that happened every day or not, it is a faded memory right now as it is and something that watching your reaction kind of stirred back up. I vaguely remember using the second bus to get home at least once. Can't believe now we've made it through the entire first season! You know, despite watching this show and loving it when it was still fresh I really only remember some of these episodes and with some exception I don't really remember what happens in them so I'm as excited as you are to keep going. Your principal perspective commentary only adds to the enjoyment of rewatching this great show. Thank you for doing it. Cheers!
Fun fact, at 5:56, the contract written therein would be void because it implies that at the end of the contract, the bully (forgot his actual name) can bully Ned again, but this means that he is able to assault Ned, despite Ned agreeing to the contract so that he wouldn’t be bullied. Any contract that binds an illegal act would be void. Plus, this contract is not actually a legal contract by common law because the bully lacks consideration for Ned. Ned will get nothing of legal value in return. The bully is giving up doing an illegal activity, but that is not consideration, as the bully is simply acting in a lawful manner that is expected of him, so the bully isn’t actually giving something to Ned, so it wouldn’t be considered a contract on that reason either. Of course, this ignores that both parties are minors, which may be the first thing a court of law would look at. This would make the contract voidable, as the minor always has the ability to leave a contract even after signing a valid contract. I’m not a lawyer, btw, but I do know some contract law.
8:50 they said the exact same thing in an episode of Full House. Stephanie had two friends named Jennifer visit, who introduced themselves to Joey. Jennifer 1: "I'm Jennifer." Jennifer 2: "And I'm Jennifer too. Not the number 2, but also." (Fun Fact: Jennifer 2 was played by Danielle Fischel from Boy Meets World.) Since Ned's Declassified came years after Full House and Moze's name was Jennifer anyway, it must've been a coincidence, but I wonder if they went with the "Jennifer too", having known about the Jennifers from Full House. Did it not count as copying? Some repeated things are plagiarized or simply classic in movies and shows.
Oh boy my FAVORITE episode of the season. I loved it. This actually reminds me of Me getting home from work after working and taking the public Metro bus. That day it was getting dark early and the bus was starting to make a loud beep and within 5 minutes me and a few other random passengers on that bus were stranded. Luckily it broke down at one of the best possible places near a McDonald's Safeway and DQ area all in the same area and luckily I been there many times before so I called up my mom and I got her husband to get me who was literally a minute from me at the dentist in the Safeway area so it worked out I ended walking off the bus and to get dinner at DQ I made the best out of a unexpected situation luckily I didn't have a school bus break down during my years of school just a public bus a few months ago
I remember having the same bus driver from middle school all the way up to senior year in high school. Ms. Vicky's real nice, strict when it came to discipline. She's also nicknamed "Breakdown Vick" cause the buses she rode tend to break down a lot.
I don’t know if Gordy has a passport. I hope he does, though, because mailing himself to Paraguay (even on accident) could put his career in jeopardy because we don’t know how long it will take him to get out of the box or even back to the US.
My first school. I was only there for K and like 3 months of 1st grade had an interesting system. They had busses run 2 routes (I assume) so kids would be split into late and early busses based on the routes they took. I also went to a school where the younger half of the elementary school got out an hour before the older half but I don't think that really had to do with bus capacity since it was a small town and all the schools shared the busses in the morning.
The parking lots at most of the schools I attended were too small for all of the buses to leave at the same time. You had to know which "bus group" your bus was in, or you would miss it and have to call someone to take you home.
As someone who grew up in the Southwestern US it was just way too hot most of the year to wait outside after school (over 100 degrees). If I had a ride after school I would usually wait 30 minutes after school inside. The school usually kept their doors open for about 2 hours after the final bell. Great time to do homework!
I went to Leroy H. Smith Elementary School and I don't remember hearing any bells ringing there 1 year before attending Vine Street School in Bangor and it had an electronic bell when I was there back in 2008-2011. I went to Frankfort Elementary School (now an assisted living facility) and it had a metal bell when I was there back in 2011-2013. I went to Wagner Middle School and it has a metal bell (but it never rang) when I was there back in 2013-2016. I went to Hampden Academy back in 2016-2020 and it has an electronic bell which is different from Vine Street's bell.
I remember my school bus breakdowns and bus changes really messed people up (because we were using the numbers on the busses which obviously change) Once i got to middle school the district used letters to label the busses/routes. (A-P) so if replacements happen you just look for the letter no matter what bus number it is that day.
I remember I missed my bus one time in Middle school, during after school hours, and the Vice Principal called an emergency bus (the smaller ones) to send me home.
I just remembered something that is related to a school, however it's a video game and not a television series. It's a horror game called Little Nightmares 2 that contains a school section among other places. In Little Nightmares 2 you control two child protagonists and basically have to survive in a dark, twisted world full of enemies and make your way to a signal tower. In the school in this game there is a female teacher and her students which are collectively called the Bullies. The Bullies are usually really ill-behaved but they are completely silent and obedient when the strict Teacher is around. A principal enemy was also planned for this game but ultimately cut from the game along with other enemies, so the teacher is basically the boss in that school. I'm not sure if all this sounds silly and I guess it's not worth watching it but I just wanted to mention it.
Never took the bus, was always in the car pick-up line, but I went through the period where it changed from mostly unsupervised to overly-structured in high school. Initially my school would just let all the pick-up kids out onto the sidewalk and we'd just stand around chatting until we saw our car and left, but a couple years later they transitioned it to sitting in lines by grade, putting a note in every car's windshield with the kid's name, and having a teacher call out the next couple cars. Felt a little over-structured for highschool to me, but I know they were just trying to make the line move quicker since it often backed up onto the highway.
7:30 See I disagree with the idea of locking the building, especially if there is a late bus situation. Leaving the building unlocked (with proper adult supervision) to let a kid use the bathroom or something of that nature, I think would be a wise choice. There are two examples that come to mind in my life where a late bus affected me. The first was my 8th grade year, and there was a HORRIFIC blizzard that hit at the end of the day (it was dry at the start of the day, and no one really expected it to get that bad by the end). It was so bad, that they didn't even want the kids going outside until the bus physically arrived at the school. So they crammed all the bus riders in the gym until each of the 8 or 9 school busses arrived at the building. I remember it being pandemonium in that gym because there were something like 450 kids in the gym at one time all waiting for busses. The second was like this, a bus breakdown. I remember it being incredibly cold out and there was an issue at the School Bus compound with the fuel gelling in the busses, so only something like 4 out of 20 busses were running properly. I remember they got about half the bus rider kids out of the school and then when there was only two bus loads of kids left, the principal and assistant principal opened up the gym to us freezing kids (who were outside in wind chills that were hovering around 0 degrees) and pulled out a few basketballs to play with while the remaining busses did their routes and could come and get us. The school I work at now a days doesn't have many busses that travel to it. However, they frequently arrive about 15-30 minutes after walkers and car riders are dismissed. Students are allowed to either go to the Library and have an extra study hall (some times teachers even come down there and do a quick tutoring session with any kids that want it) or we open up the gym for open gym (if there isn't a team using it). If there is a team using the gym, we sometimes have the kids go to the cafeteria and we bring out some board games or something for them to do.
If I missed the bus or it didn't show up, the school office would just let me use their phone to call my mom to come pick me up. But what was really a problem was the time that I had a substitute bus driver who couldn't find my house, and kept ignoring me when I told her where to go, and that she kept missing the turn. She thought since I was a grade school kid, I couldn't possibly know what I was talking about, so she just told me to shut up and kept driving around aimlessly until she eventually returned to the bus depot since she couldn't find my house and wouldn't let me tell her how to get there. So another driver had to take me home, and I didn't get home until around 2 hours after I normally did.
Hi I find it kind of interesting how he wants to get rid of the weasel more than doing his janitor job that he signed up for. He always says he will let the night guy get it, but I think I would let the night guy get the weasel since doing the janitor job would be easier than catching a weasel who is always on the run.
Never had a late bus; although, my mom picked me up late either for traffic jam or for other reasons, it could last 2 hours until she arrived. The best I could do is to advance homework or play with friends
I hope in the emergency change of bus with an extreme delay parents would be contacted. Also I think making them sit outside the school is pretty unethical. I'm extremely heat sensitive and have gotten heat sick in cold weather because I was physically active. The cause wasn't diagnosed until my mid 20s but had been happening since I was like 4.
Questions: since when is it against policy for teachers to enjoy soap operas and dramas during school? Isn’t that a bit much to fire someone for that? Also doesn’t the head master or school principal have access to the keys and not Gordy? Also when will you hire a lawyer to work at your school and help students settle lawsuits and problems? These are things you must ask yourself!
Doing that wouldn’t get you fired unless maybe you were doing that during class. It’s not as much about watching but how you’re using your school time and school computer/network.
@@joshuawillis602 TBH, is there a time where he was been like a normal teacher, like "Okay, I am not going to do anything dumb, I am going to be a good janitor, person" The only time he gets zero is when he is not in the episode.
Here we see Ned get absolutely bodied by Karma yet again. Maybe don't do messy terrible things anymore. Also our good pal cleaner finally got his justice... meaning instead of firing him, apparently he gets sent off to a new country...
I think the more they got into the end of season 1 they focused more on comedy than actual tips or realism. Let me say you: Season 2 is the one with the most "accurate" one and season 3 is more focused on romance stuff and comedy than actual tips
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Don't worry there isn't any adult content other than one picture book but what I want to see you react to is actually the teacher in season 1 her name is emalia- She is quite --- let's just say something that can fit into the channel she shows up in season 2 but you can skip some things in EP 1 because it has a knowledge test in episode 1 and a physical test in season 1 and yes I am huge anime fan so I enjoy a reaction channel that isn't only about anime but adds anime in it occasionally according to the content it uploads in your case education. I never thought reaction to school episodes can be this fun. I didn't expect my self to say one day .God bless you in Jesus name amen.
And if we are talking about mature content stay away from anime likes prison school or high school DXD these two have school content but more fan service.@@SchoolPrincipalReacts

Fun fact though that cameo in the Teachers Rap part, that was Lil Romeo, Master P's son.

Ya. If you know the bus is gonna be a bit late then working on homework is definitely the best. I really didn't have any late bus problems though.

At first I thought the thumbnail said short bus not late bus.
Gordy got up to 6 firings….3 times ;)
Didn’t expect lil Romeo on this episode I don’t remember the episodes much 🤣
I have been inside a school after hours for different things
Questions: since when is it against policy for teachers to enjoy soap operas and dramas during school? Isn’t that a bit much to fire someone for that?
Also doesn’t the head master or school principal have access to the keys and not Gordy?
Also when will you hire a lawyer to work at your school and help students settle lawsuits and problems? These are things you must ask yourself!
Doing that wouldn’t get you fired unless maybe you were doing that during class. It’s not as much about watching but how you’re using your school time and school computer/network.
Gordy only had one potential firing. Thats probably the lowest count he’s had
Yes lol
What about zero?
@@LittleMissCraftie ok second lowest
@@joshuawillis602 TBH, is there a time where he was been like a normal teacher, like "Okay, I am not going to do anything dumb, I am going to be a good janitor, person" The only time he gets zero is when he is not in the episode.
@@LittleMissCraftie in the episode cheaters Gordy appeared and didn’t get a single firing
The teacher rap is a parody of Da Pixie Rap from Fairly Odd Parents th-cam.com/video/y9RmdVjIKFc/w-d-xo.html
Lol 😆
This episode could have all been avoided if they all just added for a friend to take them home, or walk home or something.
The weasel wins again!!! also cant wait for season 2
Me neither!!!
And continuing the gag
Here we see Ned get absolutely bodied by Karma yet again. Maybe don't do messy terrible things anymore.
Also our good pal cleaner finally got his justice... meaning instead of firing him, apparently he gets sent off to a new country...
🇵🇾
I think the more they got into the end of season 1 they focused more on comedy than actual tips or realism. Let me say you: Season 2 is the one with the most "accurate" one and season 3 is more focused on romance stuff and comedy than actual tips
Can’t wait!
What's the total of Gordy's potential firing in season one, and would you hire him as your school janitor.
I would absolutely not hire him lol 😂
Who yeah season 2 is almost here, some of the new characters is interesting to say at less
Can’t wait!
12:50
Probably cause it was the end of the season! Congrats one down two to go!
👍
In your personal opinion, what’s the best episode you saw and what’s the worst episode of S1?
I like several of them but a favorite is “elections.” I didn’t like “notes” that much. Thanks for watching!
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts yeah Notes felt very weird and kinda outdated
I watched this show as a kid I didn't remember this Claire future lawyer girl
Yes I like this character.
I like Gordy and his endless chase with the weasel (endless, either it ends at the very last episode, no spoilers, you will have to watch.)
I like Gordy and his endless catch with the weasel (until the very last episode, no spoilers. You will have to watch it.)
De acuerdo, quiero una playera cómo la qué usted tiene de la James k. Polk y quiero una playera del "Tour de Cookis después de clases"
Jajajaja si, seria genial! 😆
I can’t wait for you to see season 2 thats the season that introduces the vice principal and in the final season they introduce the head principal
Me neither!
Can you react to the misfit of demon king academy season 1 episode 1 please?
I’ll have to see how mature the content is…. Doesn’t sound good.
