Your comment is the literal reading of my mind. That’s exactly these two characteristics that I had in mind while listening to it the first time. Excellent interpretation. Also I would add there’s obvious intense work in the phrasing and articulations. I will definitely be inspired by this!♥️
I beg you to release it on spotify, this is the prettiest interpretation I've ever heard of this piece as I almost shed a tear. The silence is surprisingly used, wich creates a certain tension wich fades as the song continues. This is beautiful, thankyou so much Annique. I started to learn this song years ago with the help of my piano teacher who told me that even if I wasn't supposed to learn a song that hard, he would help me. This teacher was the best I've ever had, he changed my vision of piano, teached me so many useful things and was always so supportive and open-minded. I spend the year of piano classes mainly learning this song, but obviously couldn't finish it on time. Since then, I've played the beginning that I learned a few times, but I have regressed... However, you make me want to learn this song again, as today i know I am capable of doing it. Thanks
I adore this piece, and adore it more than ever because I spent hundreds of hours in its company while practicing it. I never get tired of hearing it. I adore your interpretation ❤
how is it possible this piece didn’t get my intention before? I love piano music and listen to it everyday, now I am super happy to have found this piece. Really beautiful performance! 😊
I dream of being able to play like this. I can only practice a little bit every day, but hopefully someday I will get there. I cannot get enough Annique playing piano. She is so inspirational.
Your interpretation of this piece is my favorite version out there on TH-cam so far 🥹🥰 The way you voiced the melody, so many details and layers of phrasing, the different sound and colors you were able to portray through your playing… It is so pure and beautiful 🤍
Miss Gottler is the descendant of an very completed esthetic heritage: cyclothimy, great and big emotions, good vibes... I think that the Liebestraum n°3 of Liszt correspond to you, with greatful energy and some kind of sadness in filiation with nostalgy and melancoly. I like your dress, very beautiful decorations that we can to find in lute of viola da gamba, and when it is combinated with a great personnality, a magnifical music, and an incredible interpretation, you result of a very passioned, sensitive and contrasted art. You are in a very cuty dream ! I encouraged you to continue, good luck for the next performance ! Bye !
That was one of the most beautiful and moving performances of this great piece I’ve heard. Well done for expressing yourself, and taking risks! Music is not about being perfect, and the best things happen in the moment, through real emotion, which you have perfectly delivered! ❤
Omg! I rarely get chills while listening to music, but *this*, oh my goodness. It’s stunning. Major chills! I hope I will be able to play like you someday! I want a vinyl record of you playing this! It’s stunning. I cannot express this. Absolutely beautiful!
Annique, your piano skills are great. When I learned Liebesträume, it took me by surprise how much I would love this piece. Of course, I have my own story with this song. Though not all stories like mine end well, it still happened. It is such an honor to hear one of my favorite pianists play one of my favorite pieces!
no matter how much i listen to this song i always get goosebumbs. no matter how much i play this song, i always get goosebumbs... But the way you are able to play this song is just undescribable.
This was truly awesome! Such a deep and thoughtful performance, with a masterful use of dynamics and rests that really captured my complete attention. It is so nice to see & hear the result of all the work you do in t-shirts and sweats. Thank you Annique.
i've listened to so many people playing this song and this is by far the most beautiful interpretations I've ever listened to!! thank you so much for sharing this beautiful peace of art xx
I took basic piano in college as a filler class a few years after being accepted, but rejecting, being a piano performance student at Northern Illinois University. I learned this piece and a Chopin Waltz with 4 weeks of practice and played them at the recital at the end of the semester. At that point, I had 11 years as a student. By no means was I a virtuoso, but just had enough practice over time that I could play moderately advanced pieces pretty well. The room, consisting of beginning students playing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Hot Cross Buns, was floored when I was finished. It was the least pressure recital but also the most fun because I was able to show beginning students how far practice can take you.
I've pretty much heared or watched every single rendition of Liebestraum no.3 here on youtube or whatever. And together with the one from the gran tourismo intro, this is by far my favorite version, I've ever heared. This song means so much to me and you've managed to put so much emotion, thought and love into it. Thank you
The best interpretation of Liszt’s most tender but passionate expression of the true meaning of love (like a parent for a child) - magical performance!!
Iv nearly completed this piece so know the hard work going on here excellent job and a unique perspective I actually enjoyed the softer beginning and gradual intensification throughout the return of theme 2 in both instances the clear precise waltz in the middle and a perfect coda execution 👍
My favorite interpretation of this gorgeous piece! You are so amazingly talented ❤️ love how you share this all with us. Now, I feel like trying to learn this piece because of watching you play.Blessings🙏🏻🕊️
Most enjoyable interpretation. Only for a fleeting moment was my mind drawn back to a classic Godiva bonbon commercial from the 1980s where a young man hears, then sees, a beautiful young lady playing this piece from across a small courtyard, is immediately smitten, and attempts unsuccessfully to throw a bonbon wrapped in a love note into her second floor window from his third floor window. Unlike the dude's errant bonbon, which landed into another gal's first floor window garnering reciprocal romantic attentions from the wrong gal, your interpretation landed perfectly as intended!! Brava, with bonbons!!
To say anything feels like breaking the enchanting musical spell so artfully cast on us. Thank you for a superb performance and wonderful interpretation! Kudos on video production, it’s outstanding too!
Dear Anique - Wonderful again. Thank you for inspiring me to never stop playing Piano, and inspiring me to never give up on my dream to become a pianist like you one day!
Thank you for the notice about the upload. Such fun! Love your enthusiasm.i am living vicariously thru you and Dr. Becky Smethurst, astrophysicist, for I am 80 widower and retired Engineer.
Really beautifully played! Love how you took plenty of time starting into the first cadenza with a slight pause at the top and then picking up speed going downhill there. Beautifully phrased. Same with the rolled chord at the top of the climax. Jorge Bolet used to do that. I love it. Best Regards Annique.
"Liebesträume" (German for "Love's Dreams") is a set of three piano works by Franz Liszt. These pieces are characterized by their lyrical and expressive qualities, reflecting various aspects of romantic love. Each piece explores different emotions associated with love, from passionate intensity to tender sentiments. Liszt composed these works in the mid-19th century, and they remain popular for their evocative and emotive nature, capturing the essence of love through the language of music. Would love to hear Liebesleid (Love Sorrow) by Fritz Kreisler!
This is the first classical piece I’ve ever learned as i just improvised over today songs and I learned it last year and its bitter sweet cuz I’ve yet to find a better classical piece imo
Incredible use of silence. You made it super dramatic and episodic. Super cool rendition to listen to! You nailed it for me!!!
exactly
What the hell is an episodic
@@nicki5519 she divides the music into very obvious sections/episodes with the silence
