There's a nostalgic, melancholic, yet so achingly familiar feel to west Slavic composers piano pieces. Case in point, Liszt, Chopin and Dvořák. They make my heart yearn for a place I've never been yet it feels like home. Love from Kenya.
I play it like that because my fingers puts strength carried on with the main melody, I’m trying to control this and instead have a gentle consistency during the first part 😂
@@puggaming450 , it’s a Vogel. If you’re familiar with the Schimmel brand, this is made by the son-in-law’s company. Similar action and sound but better price! Mine has really opened up its tone over the years and has a lovely shimmery top without compromising a rich bass. I love it.
You played this so incredibly beautifully, It saddens me that you only have five thousand views on this. You deserve a lot more for this, wonderfully done, have a great day whenever you read this.
Though they’re different pieces of course, this gives me a Clare de Lune kind of vibe. Just this aching longing beauty that is somehow infused with hope and peace. Beautiful. Wonderful performance. Do this at your next high school reunion. Killer.
When I first learned these pieces in highschool I felt the same way. Although written by 2 different composers, the romantic sentiment and elegance felt quite similar. But I think Claire de Lune is a bit easier to play. I can still play that piece pretty well by memory, but I haven’t touched Liebestraum for years. I might revisit it now since it’s such a lovely piece.
I always appreciate how others keep tempo so nicely.I always get lost in it and slow down a lot, still only started a few months ago and I'm not an experienced player, but I can play it now!
Love this comment.... because I, too often slow down a lot but I think it's because we play how we're feeling it in that moment and I think that's ok, too 😊
I learned this piece over twenty years ago, and I still face challenges with it. Stay close to the keys and when you get to the big octave leaps, try to think about moving horizontally across the keyboard instead of up and down. That has helped me a lot recently.
@@dummag4126well I find the octave jumps during the climax hard to master and maintain consistency at a higher speed.. and second cadenza imo was a lot more easier than cadenza one, my fingers magically knew cadenza two and didn’t took long practice to make it sound like a cadenza😂😂
Very beautiful performance. Very sensitive and well thought out. The break just after the first cadenza was a very nice touch... for MY taste just an iota too long (as I said it's MY thoughts on it...which means little in the grand scheme of it all). I'd maybe like to hear a bit more breadth right from the beginning of the Cmajor section. I realize it's a more "stringent" area and for most that means an immediate increase in tempo, but I think adding some breadth to this section to start with and then letting it build on it's own... the writing itself allows for this. Don't let your left hand get away from itself in that first bar of Cmajor. It's the catapult for this section. I loved your second cadenza! Beautiful! Just the right amount of everything. Perfectly timed break. Some very nice colors in the last section. I really like the amount of time you took with the last closing cadences. Again, very beautiful performance!
Thank you for taking the time to write out your thoughts. I will think about what you've said... It is nice to hear other perspectives on interpretation.
I have been playing since I was a little girl. I studied this piece in college, put it away, and then have returned to it several times since then. Every couple of years I come back to it and find some things a little easier, and other things I would like to change. :)
I came here after listening to Lang Lang and Khatia Buniashvili playing the same piece in their TH-cam videos. Perhaps because I am untrained and ignorant, I could not tell much difference. Only that you perhaps should memorize the piece. Lang Lang plays softly but Khatia plays with energy and sharply. I think that if you memorize the piece, then it will become a part of you and you will be able to mould it. God bless you.
Perhaps unnecessary, but I find my memory gives out more than I'd like it to, even with extensive preparation. I'd rather have the music and be able to play without interruption than struggle through memory slips (especially when recording!).
@@kennywood6434 I did not well express myself, i intend to say.....is the best esecution i heared before Tiffany Poon, but is incredible she is still reading, is impossible for me to read a so difficoult piece and play it well as a easy song!!
Why does it feel so relaxing and melancholic?😿❤️
The rendition was beautiful: partially memory, partially reading, but all feeling. You put your soul into this and I felt it.
slowly, precise, sentimental.
perfect.
Liszt was such a beast!!

huge fan of this interpretation love the rise in energy after the first cadenza haven't heard sometime play it like that before, I'm stealin it ;^)
Thank you! I think that second section should really sing - the accompaniment is like the breath supporting a singer’s voice.
Nice video. After 4 years of self taught, I finally researched cadenza. Nice definition/interpretation.

cleanest cadenza ever, first time hearing the cadenza played so calmly and not rushed
Thank you 💕
Super clean. Your sheet version seems to have the page turns right. Makes me wanna find a new version like yours

Beautiful rendition
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever in my opinion, congratulations and well done. I dream to be able to play this as well as you one day.
Cori, Belle! The simplicity is alike beautiful and sublime! Congratulations!!!
What an inspiration! I hope I can learn to play it like you.
Captivating performance! Thank you!
good play🎉
Very beautiful and thoughtful playing🎉
Bravo🎶
I’m about to tackle this piece and I think you’ve provided my “go to” interpretation. Great work 🎹👍
I'm very glad you like it. Good luck with your study!
Loved this interpretation of the liebestraum, i wish i could play it this well. Keep up the amazing work

It comes with time. The less you have to think about it technically, the more space you are left with to fill up with emotion.
Liebestraume is a difficult piece and you don't have to mind playing it badly if you're starting

neee, is not difficult, the only difficult is the second cadenza, and maybe the left hand after B theme.

It’s easy
nice release of the pedal in the middle of the second cadenza, loved it!
