      Paige Dyer my guess would be no to tight hold because she said all she did was moisturize and that’s a holding product that sounds similar in function to gel, which the client doesn’t want.

      At 26 I can name every person who has been in my head. I started my loc process 5 months ago and people always ask me why I don't switch locticians 😒 I trust her process and it's working. She always has my hair laid, uses natural products and I don't have any build up. Plus my hair is growing and she's cheap! A negative is she is pretty fair and her schedule is tight!! And I wasn't too fond of her parting system at first, but I think it's going to be worth it in the end.

I've washed 3 times, basically when my scalp starts to itch and I haven't have any real issues so far but to know that I don't have to use wax or get and can use just moisturizer to retwist, I am so happy. Thanks for helping all of us what to do and what not to do when it comes to loc care. I know we all appreciate this. Pretty pissed that the stylist she went to was mad lazy. Even when I was starting my own, I wanted to be lazy too but I kept marching on lol. Grranted, they aren't even but they are all of similar size. She shouldn't be a stylist if she is going to be that lazy. Keep doing what you are doing one head at a time sis! one love.

You can tell you take pride in your work and really care about your Clients hair Wow a brilliant retwist!....👌🏾yep JML did exactly that to my hair left build up and was terrible to get out 🤦🏽‍♀️. Now I just use oil to retwist it’s the best decision I have ever made about my Locs.
    Less is definitely more! I’m so happy your client found you if she didn’t over a period of time the product would have built up in her Hair and added extra weight and would have eventually caused thinning.
    What oil did you use to retwist her hair please? her hair looked so groomed and shiny! 👌🏾
    Thanks for sharing stay blessed! 🙏🏾❤️😊

    When I had my locs in I had a lot of build up. Then I saw a video, on youtube of course, where this lady used Ajax lemon dish soap. Since Ajax is a degreaser its suppose to help with all the gunk that gets trapped in your locs. So I used it. And when I tell youuuu that it took out that build up. It. took. it. out! That water was soooo dirty. I didn't realize all that was in my hair. BUT! You do need to follow up with a shampoo that is designed to put moisture back in your hair and oils to condition and keep it moisturized cause that Ajax will strip your hair. Its not an everyday method but do it once every few months. Love your videos by the way. Just found you today 😊 I don't have my locs anymore but I am thinking about putting them back in.

    I am new to locs--- my 4yr old grandson's locs look awful, his mother's uses that Jamaican gel stuff on his locs
    I will diligently, patiently try to correct the awful build up on his hair
    Maybe saturating his hair with a good hair oil..... allowing it to remain in a few days... then a few shampoos
    Then re-twisting without the gel

    I'm mad. My boyfriend had a friend start his locs and I was re twisting them for him and all of the sections are different sizes. In the back they are huge rectangles and up top the are triangles squares and all different sizes... I think she got tired near the end and said f*ck it.
    Is there a way we can start it over without cutting them off?

    I have been looking for a vid like this for forever where the stylist doesnt use anything on the hair. I have learned the hard way about gel and have been struggling to find out what i should do to maintain them. Long story short this is my third time trying to loc my hair and was ready to give up before i say this video. Thank you for posting. Much appreciated! My only question would be is it going to moisture the way i normally would, which is with leave in conditioner, water, and oil, or should i stick with oil and water?

    • @MoedusaTheeGoddess
      @MoedusaTheeGoddess 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rose water instead of regular, water and oils dont mix..no leave im conditioner anf as least oils as possible, try to stick to lighter oils like extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil when mixing with the rose water
