I really hate the arrogance and stupidity of badminton umpires. After making an adversarial call, they simply smile and point to the court with an open palm and subsequently waves their hand pointing to the court as if anything is majestic about it. Even worse, they just repeat waving their hands as if it has hypnotic powers over a sober, clear-minded human.
If you are competent, explain exactly your call. Otherwise, a rule should be placed that a bad call is to be fined USD5,000 each.
Completely agree but i think even it's hard for the umpire to make such calls in the blink of an eye instead Bwf should impose a rule so that the umpire can overrule their own decision after seeing the replay
