Love this! This was my teenage years in a nutshell. 24/7 playing hockey Ice & Street hockey. Thanks to my older Brother for giving me this love & gift of Hockey.
I was 15 in the suburbs of philly these flyers teams of the 80’s were what made me love hockey. In was too young to really follow the broad street bullies .kids my age always knew about them and we all had our Bobby Clarke sticks but them guys were all at the end of there careers by early 80’s
Since the two Cup victories, the Flyers have iced a very tough team. Elusive to them and most teams, however, has been the right mixture of toughness, skill, and goaltending.
Me too. I was always a Pens fan and during this time he (tocchet) owned the Pens. Then the trade happened. I think it was 1992 and he became a Penguin, and man did all of that change. He helped us win our second Stanley Cup. That year he played with a busted jaw. Talk about one tough dude. Well that was rick Tocchet

This was right in my early teens wheelhouse of Flyers hockey, wouldn’t miss a game for anything…calling a TO with a 6-1 lead 😅
Same here. My schedule revolved around their games.

Old School NHL > Today's NHL
Old school with a new school twist
Same with MLB, NFL, NBA
@@billcephus yup
Guy Lafleur on the Rangers😮
A shout out to Mike Emrick (HOF) & Bill Clement Flyers announcers.
Rangers had some tough guys on this squad.
That Flyers team! Jeez, I’d probably have the flu every time I had to play them! Especially in this era: possibly the toughest team ever?
Some players did fake the flu or injury when playing in philly
@@harrykruse5808 yup, Philly Flu!
What a line up 👍👍
@@jaycho4895 No kidding, eh? If I walked into a bar and those dudes were boozing it up, I’d turn around and run.
Three NHL head coaches in this game from 35 years ago: Tocchet, Beurbe and Ruff.
And GM Hextall
I always try to remember whether i was at these flyer home games. Don't think I was for this one.
Today’s NHL absolutely sucks compared to this era. It’s not just the fights, it’s the passion, the rivalries and the intensity.
Woody's spitting in somebody's face😂😂😂😂 old school hockey Anything Goes!!
"Actin spit in somebody's face to be honest with you." The good ol days.
A rare left from Berube mixed in here.
Good to hear doc
Hated Tocchet then, love him now (Canucks fan 😬)
