I like what you did. but in my small apartment... I'd like it small and simplified. just only using dumbbells
Just built this, and for anyone worried about how hard it might be, I ordered a soft yoga mat off Amazon and stapled to the bench and it works perfectly
Great tip!!
How much weight do you think it can handle?
I'm happy to see this.3 years a go my ex make me a wooden bench but a flat one with a 2x6 on the side so I can rest the bar weight .I being thinking on how to make one like that.thanks for you're video 👍
I followed every step and the results were very satisfactory, Thank you very much.

I've just built it using your video! Thank you so much for this guide. The foldable legs make it perfect to my apartment.
Fabricio Demétrio that is the best compliment! Glad to help you. I’d recommend putting a piece of lumber to keep the legs from collapsing.
@@aaronfixesstuff Yes!! I did that too. Thank you for sharing!!
Fabricio Demétrio for sure man! Also if you do heavier weight, you can add a 2x4 propped between the backrest and frame to add support to the swing arms :)
@@aaronfixesstuff Great tip! Hadn't thought of that. 👍
Fabrício, qual as medidas que tu usou em cm? Compartilha cmg pfv kkkkk

Love this a lot. My only adjustment would be to round the forward edges of the set, to prevent any discomfort of the leg/thigh region

You add that the holes you drilled in the 4x4 together with the 2x1 is at 12 7/8 from bottom. Thanks for that.

Good work
Thanks!
Maker guru💖
Nice idea
Arnold Donan thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
You can cut the notches out with a table saw, as well to get a consistent depth. Just upside down from the way you use a miter saw.
Great point! That is a great option as well!
Nice man.
Kean Yuri glad you enjoyed!
Very nice!
C C thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
@@aaronfixesstuff You're very welcome. I am the one who should thank. Around here gyms are allowed to re-open from the 1st of June but I do want to make my own, I wanted it for a long time and Covid gave me the necessary kick in the butt for me to start moving. Videos like this are both inspirational and a huge help for someone that never worked with wood.
Thank you shaggy
michael bardalez thanks for watching :)
I just wish I had some power tools to do this but unfortunately I dont have this nice tools. This is a great video by the way!
Xanthus Xerxes Ostonal thank you so much! It is fun to have so many tools :)
I made this with collapsible legs as well. The problem I'm having is figuring out how to brace the legs to ensure they don't try and kick out on me while I'm using the bench. You mentioned using a tension rod as a permanent solution. Can you do a quick video on how you did this. Thanks
Awesome
Nunsang vanhoi thank you 🙏
Thanks for the build but my only question is where do I place the legs on the 45inch piece. Like how many inches from each side
Cool
It is perfect thanks
Jo versatile thank you!
One of the best I see so far so neat easy to try make I love how u explain your self very good am going to make this tomorrow wise me luck
Good luck! Thank you for the comment and comment if you have any questions while making it!
Yes sure cause am a gym goer we don't now when it going to reopen
awesomeeee
Thank you!
Great bench. Where can I find measurements and dimensions? Please post them here! Thanks. Great video. Great commentary. Nice work.
What kinda bolt did you use to attach the base to the leg?
Awesome thanks for info like thanks
No problem 👍
i started to build mine just looking for some tips , thanks and greetings from colorado aswell
Let me know what questions you have!
nice
nice one thanx.
darren moore thank you for your time, and thank you for commenting!
Same as you mate I train and a joiner so tips are always wanted.
Perfect ok 😍❤️
as for making seat stable , easier option would to put a 45 support going from the main beam to the the ply
good job sir
Thanks!
It appears someone won a Milwaukee Tools raffle.
I wish!! Unfortunately I paid full price for all of those :(
Every time I see that Milwaukee logo, reminds me of a 24 case of beers.
Amazing.... I'll try to make one...
Can you do a video of lat pull down machine
Great video 👍 have you considered doubling up the bolts and forcing them against each other, this will stop them from working loose
George Humphrey funny you mentioned that! I did it after the fact because they got loose. Hopefully people see your comment and do the same! Thanks for the feedback though 😀
You could put lock nuts on the outside also. Should hold them in place. But great idea George.
Aaron was a great build to watch and gives some really good ideas. Definitely going to give it a try. Did you find the boards were possibly a little wide and dig into your rear delts when pressing? That was my only concern bro
At what distance from the ends of the 4x4 back did you position the legs? You hinged the legs but exactly where? Where are the measurements you mentioned? In UK links to Homedepot don’t open.
Inch by inch illustration thanks
Bro I'm from India
I like your video
Thank you so much!
Be very careful guys. The workbench should be built very strong to sustain the weight. Serious accidents can happen if it slips or breaks. Wish you hard training and radiant health. From Mauritius
Absolutely! I agree with you 💯!
nice work!!! i wouldn't recommend breathing in mdf dust though.
Great use of wood you might have on hand!
Thanks Anne! I’m glad you enjoyed the video :)
It would be awesome if you can make a Zeno gym box out of wood for bands. But not those cheap bands, I’m talking about those heavy duty thick bands.
Thanks! I’ll look into it :)
Thanks for sharing. Since you use Tee Hinge on the leg to make it fold-able. I saw a beam at the bottom of leg to make it stable. How do you make the beam flexible when you want to fold the leg? Thanks
Kun Tao I just remove that beam. It’s just a scrap piece of 2x2.
Hello Aaron, I tried to open the links for the detailed list of materials but it didn' t work. I've got all the pieces of wood needed but I would like to know list of washers, bolts and knots if it's possible. Thanks a lot, very appreciated and congrats for this amazing video and creation ! Cheers from Canada !
Good build
The only thing I would add is gluing on some that foam floor mat.
Cheers
PATRICK MCKOWEN yeah that is a great idea! Honestly I got lazy by the end of it, and just left it like that. Thanks for watching and feedback :)
@@aaronfixesstuff
you sound like me - I usually leave something undone in a project - I still need to attach one more corner molding piece for my sauna build 16 yrs ago:)
PATRICK MCKOWEN that is exactly right 🤣🤣🤣
Nyc bro
what kind of load can you put on those 3/8 bolts? You think 300 lbs would bend them?
Marcus Kliewer that’s a good question. I checked Home Depot and it doesn’t say. What I did on the prototype (which only had a 1/4 bolt), was to add a piece of 2x4 to help support the weight. You can also use a thicker bolt and just drill a bigger hole.
