great video! I normally remove the heat shield just to get more room to get at that bolt. Only babd thing about doing that though, you'll battle with the one Allen bolt on the heat shield that is common to strip due to the angle its at.. pick your poison! haha
This video was awesome! Thank you! I have a passat 2.0t that needs almost the same thing done and I was wondering if there was a way to get the one bolt from the top. Thanks for just speeding it up and not skipping the whole problem solving you guys did there.. Lol. I subscribed 💪💪
What are the symptoms that the flex pipe needs replacing? My 2007 Rabbit 2.5 is making a metallic rattle on throttle (but when I'm just revving it in neutral), no error codes.
man i fucking hate this exhaust. my turbo flange just decided to let go All the bolts except the one you said were easy to remove broke and the one that's a fucking nightmare to put on an take off decided to work just fine. So i had to drill all the studs out of the flange and just use bolts which i prefer any way but i mean its a nightmare fitting a drill in to the area to drill the studs out. i weld the flange back to the I'm assuming cataleptic converter an I'm like hell yeah life is good only has taken me 10 hours so far. An wall well well the fucking flex pipe decides to take a shit on my life and break. Your video help me out with a lot of the guess work cause i was just gonna use a straight pipe. I hate this damn car .
I’m not certain but I’m pretty sure that was a 2.5 that I was working on in this video sorry I can’t remember for sure. But most exhaust systems have one of them flex pipes and they generally all work the same way they just may be different lengths or different sizes
Nice video. But i wanna say that you used the wrong type of flexpipe. Because it is a turbo block you need an interlock inside flexpipe. You bought a braided inside one. The problem with this one is that it cant resist heat for a long period and it will fall apart piece by piece and it will destroy the cat or engine.
I did not know that. Well I don’t know when this video was made or at least I can’t remember anyways but the guy I did it for drives it every day about 25 to 30 miles at least and I’m pretty sure he took it up to the UP one time it’s been holding up pretty well if that helps at all
@@sharpcarco Yeah ok. I mean offcourse not all cars will break down. It will hold in a sertain way eventually. Keep up the good videos. Thanks for you good and fast reply
I love the enthusiasm not many people have this much joy in there videos, keep it up man👍
Having the same problem on my mkv gti, thanx for the vid
I wish they would show how noisy it was before they changed it and how much better it is after.
