Why Does Thailand Love The Nissan A31 Cefiro? I Went To Find Out … Coffee, Burgers & Cefiros! EN/TH

There’s a huge passion in Thailand for Nissan’s A31 Cefiro, the big and uniquely styled Japanese sedan from the late 80s to early 90s.
The “Nissan A31 CEFIRO CHONBURI RAYONG” club is one of the most active and dedicated individual model groups in Thailand, they meet up monthly for a driving day with well-planned itineraries and scenic stops overs while their cars are all individual and modified with engine upgrades or swaps and lavish styling makeovers including face-offs.
They’re a terrific group too with the A31 Cefiro appealing to so many people from so many eras and different walks of life. It makes for a diverse mix and their days out are real social occasions, individuals and families united by their love of the big “four eyes” sedan.
As I know some of the owners and they have invited me monthly to join them but I have always had clashing appointments, this month I finally got to hang out for a morning with the owners at Ampol Burger, a fashionable “camping style” coffee shop in an idyllic location by Bang Phra Reservoir in Chonburi.
My mission was to find out why they love the Cefiro and see what modifications they have done.
