They're basically the US Navy's combat engineers who, historically as far as WW2 is concerned, are most well known for constructing airfields, pillboxes, and other fortifications while often actively fighting off Japanese assaults. Literally they would roll up right behind the first waves of Marines with their construction equipment and everything, then get right to work despite the battle for whatever island still raging on all around them. Even after all the fighting they saw, they're famous for having never lost any ground in battle to the enemy. The name "Seebea" is a play on the acronym used to refer to their units, formally known as CB's or Construction Battalions. Though relatively rare as far as I know, I thought it was really cool that the guy here represented his squad of Seabees in a more offensive role by giving them flamethrowers and other heavier weapons. Definitely something I wanna try painting myself next time I pick up a box of Marines.
The flamethrower should have hit on 4. You get -1 to hit for long range unless you're within 3 inches with a flame thrower. The long range rule still counts. +1 for point blank, -1 for moving and -1 for long range = 4s.
Got so excited at the mention of the Seabees. Glad to see them get represented. I know they arent big enough to get thier own models but I can wish that someday maybe, right?
Mine are from Company B, who has a small range of them. The plastic Marines work as well. Really in the field they should be wearing HBT uniforms so plastic Marines with US Army helmets would work as well. I just wanted an extra pop of color in a sea of drab so went with the dungarees.
Are the Seabees Company B figures? Either way, where did you get the flamethrower and bars as Company B doesn't make them... great looking armies and thanks for bringing quality Bolt Action games to the people
They are Company B. The Flamethrower is the metal Warlord Marines one with a head wearing a helmet without a cover from a US Army set and the BAR guys are just plastic Marines with some of the extra Company B heads.
I have one of the original bolt action starter boxes, I should really dust the, off after watching this forgot how fun it is
Bolt action yaaaaaasss! I just started painting my first set of German grenadiers. I’d love to see more of this on the channel.
Correction at 10:55. You fired HE which has a pen value of +1 not +2, +2 pen is for when you fire AP.
I want to play this game
What scale is bolt action
28mm scale.
What's the best number of German units to have, eight or nein?
Can someone tell me what a seebea is

Why MWG has a new YT channel?
Oh, what the heck.
This is the channel for less popular games, from what I can tell

if a unit is down you half the hits from HE.

I'm pretty sure when you rolled the 6 on the soft skin jeep, it would be destroyed, great battle report btw
Still have to roll on the damage table. The 6 was to pen so counts as a glancing hit against armor value 6 soft skin.
No glancing hits on soft skin, if you pen always use full damage chart
Never let the Butter bar have the maps, nothing will ever get done if you do, spend all of the time and man power searching for him.
Shooting at a single figure is small team 👎👎
