Thank you for the how to…I also changed my battery since it was acting up (3 simple screws and the battery was purchased via Amazon - not a dyson battery). So I have power and it doesn’t smell like wet dog when I vacuum.
The Dyson website says that you should not put cyclone unit in water or pour water into the cyclones. I already did based on your video, but I think it makes sense for you to put a little note that this is not recommended by the brand. Other than that, thanks for the video it is helpful!!
Love! You're so cute and very easy to understand. My father would have loved it. He taught me from a young age, to clean your appliances and they'll last a long time. I have had Dyson products since the early 2000s and definitely learned some new stuff regarding my V8. My only question, is, is there a way to remove the rubber gasket that is located on the little door that flips down (when you're emptying it). I have years of dirt that is caked in there that I can't get to and I didn't want to pull the rubber seal off in case I couldn't get back on. Thanks again Mr Leeman!
great to see how designs have improved if you can't disassemble yours empty it then hoover up a jar of cheap coffee granes and leave in till next you emty smell should go.
If you get two new filters one for the back and one for the front it helps but rinsing it out also helps just be careful not to get it on anything that is an electrical contact good night thanks for watching
i don’t recommend to wash the cyclone, the seal is made from foam material, i washed them 2 times and still smell like a dog, so what i did take them apart completely, wash the seal properly, let them dry overnight and the smell is gone!
There’s two filters on the vacuum if you change both of them and do the cleaning on the inside it should work the one on the back you just twist and pop off and you can purchase it on Amazon and make sure you change the filter inside of the canister
U can’t wash that metal filter part! When it smells that bad it’s time to buy a replacement!!! They aren’t made to last a lifetime imo They get so gross. I’m on my second.
They are a good vacuum, but if you change the filters, there’s two of them one in the center of the cyclones, and then one on the back that kind of helps

He washed his & it still works : ) if one is near having to buy a replacement from odor anyhow there is nothing to lose right?
It’s the material they use to make it that would make it not work as well
Good luck thanks for watching
I dont know how to remove smell like poop of cat that from white rubber in that vaccum.😢
There are two filters that you can change. Also the back one and the front one try doing that also.
im scared ill ruin my vacum if i put water on it
