I'd say this focuses strictly on the metallic hardcore style, even with the more modern bands playing old-school stuff. A true metalcore history would look very different after the 90s and early 00s, but of course what's here is certainly part of it - just not the bigger picture.

Bro I started listening to metalcore around this time and have no fucking idea who any of those bands were from that point forward. 2005 The Devil Wears Prada would have been the best example for that year, 2006 Bring Me The Horizon, 2007: Parkway Drive, 2008: I Set My Friends On Fire, 2009: Asking Alexandria. I don't know what you chose after 2009 cause i stopped watching being like wtf?

Darkest hour have always had core influences. There early stuff is definitely core.
