Wow… absolutely wow… now I’m gonna need guns and a mini pc so I can play this away from the desk top.
Great review as always.
Ooooooooh yeah
Will be watching this for sure. Been waiting on a great lightgun build.
Cue'd up in the Light Gun Lunatics FB forum already - i'll be cracking out the popcorn
👍🏻👍🏻 sweet! Enjoy!
I'm currently in the process of building a comprehensive light gun setup with a semi-automatic (excuse the pun) setup for Sinden, Gun4IR, Retro Shooter, AimTrak, Wiimotes and Blamcon light guns. I wouldn't charge a single penny for it if someone wanted it after it was completed.
That's awesome! Hit me up when you finish. I'd love to see what you setup!
A few choices from a menu@@ThePerfectStormGaming
The 6th console generation was the last genuine "plug and play" experience. As long as it's not Sinden level nonsense, no worries.
I've been playing light gun games since the original Magnavox Odyssey. The first one. Almost half the games were like gun. Came with a shotgun that was cool in the mid-70s. I think it's in the Smithsonian.
From your review it seems like it stand up to its name, a truly Beast build. A little over the budget for me, but man it seems like it was put in a lot of work on this one. Can't even imagine what the 112 TB retrobeast contains.
Looking forward to this review. Thank you so much. I am a gun game junkie
Lots of games. Great setup. Bang!!!
You wanted to know what a foreign scene was with the girls. This is known as K-POP, which means Korean Pop/popular music. It tends to be cheesy music with happy Koreans plus dance routines: you won't have a clue what they're saying (unless it's Gangnam Style!) I suppose it's their version of Eurotrash!
What an amazing product this is and very well put together. I'm yet to see light gun games for 8 bit computers, such as the ZX Spectrum. Still, it did include Nintendo for Duck Hunt, which is from this era.
Awesome video man! Kris makes top end builds and will answer your questions you may have.
Need this in my life. sweet.
Really cool set!
Really nice setup specially that u can use the xbox controller 👍🏾.. cool video btw 😎
Terminator salvation omg.....Neeeeeeed to win this. May the gaming gods shine on me Friday lol.
Love your channel playing some need for speed nitro on the wii right now. I still love playing the wii.
Awesome! Thanks so much for the support! Love the Wii!
Wow I like!
Damn... Sinden is not supported and bit buggy.
That's a shame as my gun of choice.
From just the screenshots though the UI looks decently done.
Will watch anyway. Love the lightgun gaming
Yeah it would be nice to see sinden working in the future. I think some games would work with it but not all which is likely why they say not supported as to not disappoint people
Good to know
😊
11:30 That is "Sailor Zombie"... I have a friend, no really, who's into the Japanese Idol Group scene, and she told me about this game like a decade ago. All I remember her saying is that the game revolves around the entire group getting turned into zombies and you cure them by shooting them.
17:40 That is "Lupin the 3rd: The Shooting". I know that game from when I was on a Lupin anime kick a while back. A very good anime from the 60s that is still popular in Japan today. The game came out in 2001 and was never translated into English, sadly.
20:18 That is "Elemental Gearbolt", a game that I loved on the PS1. Back when the PS1 came out I was into JRPGs and Lightgun Games. Lightgun Games have always been something I've enjoyed since I was a kid.
I dropped hundreds of dollars, possibly thousands, into the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade at an AMC theatre in the '90s and '00s. I probably spent more time on the arcade than I did in the seats and so did a lot of other people. Their arcade selection was so big and good that it was the main draw for about 30 people who religiously came to play their cabinets and probably kept that location open during the movie slump in the early Aughties. They actually began forcing us to buy a ticket to get in, so we usually just arranged for the purchases of matinee tickets the day before, then we'd show up at opening on the weekend and then just play all day until they closed.
Hogan's Alley is the first light gun game that I ever played, and it's the first arcade game I ever played back in '85.
what light gun/s are compatable with these , the ones that work the best accurately please ?
Great video !!! What pc specs do we need ?? Awesome collection !!! One thing you did not cover is the specs for the PC. !!! Finally, a great build !!! Does this come from China ? In the future, please always give us the pc specs !
Yes please tell us the PC specs needed. Not sure about having a Patreon subscription tbh
Geee, i glad i watched the last bit of this video. So you're purchasing a HDD for a few hundred dollars and you have to pay for a subscription to play all the good games 🤣. Well thats a bit of a flog!
Only some Teknoparrot ones, once they are no longer patreon u won't pay,
It is a pain though 😂
Hi Retro gaming Guy, this is a great video, love LightGun games - If you think this build is good - you should do a review of the LightGun Legends Build by OneEyedShooter - it has much more than this one and without the fluff. Would love to see a review of the Legends build. keep up the great content.
I'll have to search that one out!
Your opinion which drive is better
Integrum retro by Jasen of extreme gaming cabinets or
Kris retro beast light gun drive
Thanks
Man arcade stuff is high ever since ETA made that how to for the arcade1up years ago prices just been crazy
were found Gun and how work with pc?
@55:50 Did shooting off screen not work for Super Model 3 games like lost world? It looks like when you shot off screen it didn’t act as if you were shooting off screen and you had to push the button to reload
What pc and specifications are you using please for this to work ?
Have you been able to configure the Retro Shooter guns with the Sega Model 3 emulator on PC?
Great video dude, i gotta get this from the man Kris cool mod! What was the name of the last game you played with the mummys?
I'll have to double check but I think haunted museum
Hi, just a question, do you have a video on how to connect the retro beast 2tb to the arcade joystick and buttons? Tks
Just curious.. Can I play all the games with a mouse or the games on the drive are only configured to use light guns?
I have a question. Does this set up have the ability to save progress in games? Or is it basically every time you exit a game or turn the system off you have to start again from the beginning the next time you play? More than that I would like to know that if it does have saving capabilities, will it save high scores in games?
I have ordered one and am going to incorporate it into my arcade cabinet. I currently have the retroshooter system hooked up to my cabinet with their pandoras box console in it. Apparently you are supposed to be able to save games on that but I have never been able to do it successfully. Obviously part of the appeal of having an arcade cabinet is having high scores from the past displayed and challenging anyone that plays to beat them, so I hope that is a possible option.
Just bought the retro pack how do you take the cross hairs off in time crisis be much appreciated
What Kris build are you showing on this video please what ssd tb ?
Hi retro gaming guy. Is it possible for you to make a video on how to make Linux carecters on a keyboard . I have looked on the net for a solution but can’t find anything. It is hard to type commands when the keyboard is much different than how a normal keyboard works. Just a video that shows the most used signs for examble an S that’s horizontal lie Down don’t know how to make that. Thanks for very good videos 👍🏼
I have a Q, I am using your 128gb light gun build with my SINDEN on steam deck, (currently DL 256gb version). So far so good 🤜🏼. House of the Dead 4 I don’t know how to map ‘shake’ sixaxis function to a button. (Eg. reload barrel on sinden) Any tips? (Couldn’t find setting in PCSX3) the game works just fine, only can’t reload or shake off an enemy. Thanks! 🙏🏼
Wonder if i can run this off of my steam deck
Damn... I was really hoping for a discount code cuz this thing is pretty expensive. Don't really care about the Spider-Man upgrade. Thanks for the great review though.
Very interested in it but how much does it cost?
Does it come with light guns?
Are you running it on the mini pc you used for the retro shooter on pc video?
Yep
Dear Sir Excellent Review and Excellent Video.❤❤❤ Dear Sir please please give Strong Recommendations about Mini PC, which is Most suitable for this 2TB plays Smoothly, because after watching your video, I am interested to buy it New One & also want to purchase a New PC for this newly 2TB Hard Drive????
What light gun is best/ compatible with the Retrobeast?
Thanks
Gun4ir
Singe 2 is LaserDisk
What PC you are using?
Whats the name of that Naomi japanese shooting game
Website says mini pc not recommended. Are there any mini pc's you know of that might work with this drive ?
gaming pcs are better but this one if you did want a mini would be your best bet. Still gaming pc would be ideal. amzn.to/4axhw5S
Hi, is there any way to get sinden light guns shipped to the Philippines? or what do I need that would allow me to do so?
Probably I don't see why not. Reach out to them
Don't you think the people over at sinden would be in a better position to answer that question?
Hello...where are to buy,,?
I believe the last ‘gun’ I held was the Nintendo Zapper and that only works on a CRT. There’s currently NO gun that can interface with an LED Telly or monitor. 🙁🔫
Sinden, gun4ir, retroshooter all work
@@TCBurns24 what are those?
@@chrismayer3919 light guns that work on modern tvs
@@TCBurns24 no shit? Do they use sensors like the Nintendo Power Glove did?
@@chrismayer3919 gun4ir and retroshooter come with 4 sensors, works kind of like wii with more sensors so more accurate, sinden is different has a camera in the gun and creates a border on the screen
Please tell me what mini PC you are using for the 2TB light gun drive. I'm very interested in getting this. However, Kris coolmod says on his website that there are problems using a mini PC with this drive. Apparently, you need a PC with a dedicated graphics card. Are you finding any issues using a mini PC?
I've used the most high end mini PCs and it's decent but not perfect. I would say 90% of everything works well but Kris is right you are better off with a full scale gaming pc with its own graphics card. The mini gaming PCs I've used cost as much as gaming PCs I just used them because I had them and wanted to test. It's a better experience though on my gaming pc with nvidia gpu
@@RetroGamingGuy Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. Love the channel
Hey i own retro shutter guns wath software I need to run on pc?
If you buy the Kris Koolmod build you don't need any additional software. It's all included on the hard drive.
Thanks you are great 👍
Are you from Detroit because of your shirt and tigers tat ? I am a Canadian I lived in Windsor ont doing a pipe line job I stayed right on the river. I wanted to go across bridge to Detroit but wasn't vaxed during covid.
I'm not but lived there a little while. Still a tigers fan
Thanks for reply still breaks my heart when tigers beat my Jay's last week of season in 87 I think? You have great content.
So we order the guns sensors and console for retro shooter, but then just hookup the guns to pc to play this 2tb cool build instead?
Yep you'll have a way better experience with a pc over the crappy included console
No you don't need to order the retro shooter console at all if you're planning on buying the Kris Coolmod build. Just order the guns only package with the guns, sensors, pedals and PC extension hub. I wouldn't waste my money on the retro shooter console as it's based on Pandora's box. Which is notoriously underpowered.
@@HeavyInstinct oh I must have missed that package, thanks! will look into that
@@derekswitzer9624 Yeah they don't make it the easiest to find. They're website has a pretty poor design in my opinion. You can only access the main "hamburger" menu from the main page which is just stupid. Once you're on the site's main page, click on the hamburger menu at the top of the page and then click on "PC and 10th package". There's a one gun and a two-gun package.
Is this for sale or free? I went to link didn't see any price if is being sold
Yeah it's sold it's in Canadian so it depends on the conversion at the time of purchase scroll down you can add it to cart
Will Sinden guns work with this?
Not 100%
I take it you still need to be on a member of patreon to play the Teknoparrot patreon games with this build?
Yes you do.
Great video... great games... just a little disappointed with the tekno parrot patreon subscription...
That's a tekno parrot problem. Nothing to do with this drive.
Would you say this build is better than retrolizards build?
I dont have any experience with retro lizard
Where
There's a link in the description.
can u by my Earthworm Jim?
Is the code retro guys or retro guy?
Retro guys I think
@@RetroGamingGuy None work. Could you post the correct spelling in the description.
你好...在那兒可以買
Is it retrobat?
No it's coin ops.
@HeavyInstinct nice. First coinops gun build I've see. Thanks for the reply 🤘
How could you make this whole video and there's nothing on how much this thing costs. Don't you think that might be something people want to know? JFC
There's a link in the description...just click it rather than firing off complaints in the comments haha. I didnt mention the price because in the time I spent testing this the price changed 5 times. It's in Canadian so theres an exchange rate involved. If I say today it's $300 and tmrw it's $350 I'll have more than just you complaining.
