That’s partially because Unleashed’s stages were more constricted than Generations and he camera was closer to Sonic than Generations

the ranking system is based off score the most against time
TL;DR the way the game scores the player, while based on time, is also based on other factors. Hense, the A rank.
In forces you have the following: in-level score, then result score.
In-game score counts defeating enemies, rings collected, and red rings collected.
Result score counts time taken, rings you had when you completed the level, and how many times you died in the level (more = less score).
The result score adds to your in-game score, which then gives you your overall rank.

sonicboy678 Both Generations and Forces are easy to get S ranks in. Surprisingly Forces has a better ranking system, but that's it's only advantage
