Best Friends!!!! Awesome! I've been a fan of Best Friends for over 40 years, donate to them and have a friend who works there in the cat area (Cassie Rowell) who has been there for a long long time! They have RV spots there at the sanctuary but maybe they were all full! Anyway, it was nice to watch and and have you volunteer at one of my all time favorite charities! Thank you!!!
I keep a can of carburator cleaner with some tools in the center console at all times for legal self defense. Pepper spray and/or mace is illegal in some states but you can take carburator cleaner with you everywhere and it wont seem odd if its mixed with tools.lol...it will work extremely well but might have permanent affects on the attacker but ill defend myself and ask qustions later.
Most of your channel revolves around your van. Getting it, getting it ready, etc... It has been a long time coming, but we now get to see you start exploring. Being us, your viewers, here near the start, is quite a fun vicarious experience. You have a healthy heart. And you have a healthy gut. Looking forward to more experiences shared.

I too was wondering about that, eg how does she toilet if you are away for a few hours etc. Loving the videos, you are loving a dream of mine that unfortunately due to circumstances I can no longer expect to do. Live your best life!
Kanab is my home town. I used to work at best-friends. Me and my grandpa helped build that place. Its beautiful there and I miss it. There is a underwater cave close to where you were at but it tends to be local knowledge
Were it not for your videos, I wouldn't have a practical idea of what it really takes to see those canyons. They're beautiful with the eyes, but the serenity is more precocious. Thanks for helping the world see what is/was (video record of history, 100 years from now probably very useful / interesting).
We've been members with Best Friends since 1996. My daughter and granddaughter have both volunteered at the Sanctuary. I had planned to when I retired in 2020 but then covid. Lol

My husband and I went to the lottery a month ago. There were 50 people there. We were the second number called for a permit. I sure hope you get it. It was all it is hyped up to be.

So glad you got the permit if the canyon. Can't wait to see your footage. Fingers crossed you get the permit for the wave. I was blessed to be able to do it last August. Also, you should make a point of doing white pocket. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You need a 4x4 to get there. ( not kidding) There is a guide we used and he was amazing. (Utah Trikes, Payson Utah being my number one stop LOL) Always trust your instincts, if the little voice is telling you to move along, best listen to it.

Love that you went and volunteered at best friends, it’s been way too long since I’ve done that, need to go back. I’ve tried 4 times to win that that lottery to hike the wave and haven’t been able to win, yet. I always think I’m going to win cause I’m a single hiker, I’ll just have to keep trying. I usually swing by Kanab to enter the lottery on my way to and from Lake Powell each fall. Just found your channel a couple days ago and I’m obsessed, as I’m also in Utah and building out a PM by myself.

Dude I totally agree on creepy people. I was offgrid in Arizona for 4 months and the creepy people included men, women, and even undercover cops just sitting in their trucks watching me for fun. Best to go like you said or stand and cross your arms and just stare right at them and don't move and just stare a long time. Thats worked for me before because they see you see them. On occasion I have stared cleaning my nails with a big knife :)
If you find yourself back in Kanab I have TONS of beta on great camping just twenty minutes outside of town. I’ll be camping out in Kanab for a bit at the end of the of March while I do my WFR if you’re still around!
Since your in Kanab visit the Grand Canyon from north side for much better views. If you go through Zion there’s the similar view at checkerboard view point to that of wave. There are also bunch of state parks by the border of AZ that are plus. Spend $25 to visit antelope at Paige.

I’m 60 now, but n my 40’s I hiked 460 miles on the Appalachian Trail, it was awesome, I’m curious about the wave, would u mind telling me what’s so special about it, or direct me to where I can get information on it?
