It does not care for pain or love. Now, one thing you might not know is that the oposite of love is not hate, its indifference. The oposite of hate is indifference. Actuallly, the oposite of any emotion is indifference - such is its power. Indifference is the abscence - its the void - of emotions. This is why Warframe devs have been focusing on the interaction between emotions and the void, be it with Rell's autistic limitations for comprehending emotions, Citrine's backstory or, in this case, Loid's love for Albrecht. The only thing oposing the indifference of the void is emotions, be they good or bad. This is why you can also notice this brutallist + steampunk ambients. Rocks and metal don't have emotions. There are no humans here. It lacks emotion. It is filled with void. The chants translate a rustic feeling, almost like all of this was forgotten by time. Whoever took care of this place became indifferent to it.
one thing i noticed, is that everyone has their own personal void too, a void in their heart. Albrecht was his own failure, the Operator (not the tenno as a whole) was losing their family, Umbra and his son, the lotus and her inability to bear children, Loid's was Albrecht. Even Ballas in a sense has one in Marguilis and his own horrific nature. The Void is as ever-present in narrative as it is in lore. this is where the doppelgangers seem to come from- a reflection of your troubled soul as it were, and a reminder of the Operator's true power. Unexpected without greater context, but I will say voidtongue sung as a heavenly choir as opposed to the typical Mongolian throat singing was a far more welcome surprise
It's interesting that the Indifference is nothing, as it is the Void, but it becomes whatever it wants to take/destroy. It became Albrecht, it became Rell, it becomes you. It has no self, and when it copies or gains "self", it tries to destroy it. The Indifference is self-destructive, so by reminding ourselves of love, for ourselves and for those we care about, we hold it at bay.

This, and what Tagfer said about the Man in the Wall, really makes me feel like we could resolve this whole conflict by simply inviting Wally onboard our orbiter, to play Ludoplex and eat popcorn together. It feels like they're a newborn child to our kind of existence, like a child raised by wolves, and they don't know how to reconcile the newfound feeling of loneliness, or how to ask for our attention in a civil way. Wally reaches out in a way that they don't realize is destructive, because they don't understand.
From time to time i come back to appreciate this sequence, and i cry every single time. We all were waiting for a clash, to see force being stopped by force. But instead, you only see a tender touch. You see what some love, care, and sincerity can do. The vessel shows that is ashamed that such rage, hatred and violence has inhabit its being, and that it was willing to destroy in order to unleash what it felt as right. That touch makes it even pull towards our hand, because for what its worth, that was the first time it was feeling that someone did care. Perhaps im looking too much into it, perhaps its because i just feel that way, but life will be more boring if we didnt take the time to do this kind of stuff. Looking more deeply into what feels right
This quest was beyond beautiful. I remember really wanting to see a fight between the two vessels but looking back, this is much better and more unexpected. I really hope that we get more of Loid and the Cavia in future quests.

When you fell and busted open your knee or face, your parents surely walked up to you and gave you exactly that. Compassion. Trying to soothe you and make you feel better. You can be the "superstraightest" guy on earth and compassion for others wouldn't make you gay. If anything it would show you having a incredibly strong and respectable personality.

If you can, then play the game again. After new war , there is only Duviri quest you have to do for this quest. The story is actually getting interesting now. These Titans aren't fully implemented btw, for now all we have is assumptions.

The Vessels were made to fight the Man in the Wall in some way You go there because the Kalymos Sequence begins, a sequence started back when Albrecht Entrati (Think Grandfather) sent himself back to 1999 with the help of Original Loid. To fight back the Indifference/Man in the Wall, you fight not with fists and fury, but with Albrecht admitting how unworthy he was of Loid's kindness and exposing himself vulnerably, alongside treating the vessel with a gesture of kindness. Showing compassion to quell the Indifference.

Supposedly the one you control there is arthur and the other we don't even know so i'm not sure what the point of the gesture is other than to loid. The reason why the giant went still, is because we used Loid's memory of when he had to banish Albrecht. Loid at that moment, in that memory, felt love. The opposite of indifference, is love. Wally felt love. And it shook him to his core. And if you go to the giants chest, it's heart is beating, it's still alive. Wally filled the giant with indifference, we filled it with something else, but Wally left it behind, going back to the other giant he possessed as a retreat. That's my analysis at least. The whole games story is pointing to family, love, hate, emotions and connections. It wouldn't be surprising to see Wally be the manifestion of an absence of those things. The system has been overtaken by war, each faction hateful and indifferent to eachothers faults and suffering. Hell, there are Grineer that have plushies and Corpus that are sick of the hyper corporatism. The Tenno are trying to fight that by trying to beat the leaders and protect the people, and also by trying to heal indifference itself.
See how Loid reacts after the two vessels interact. The Indifference/Wally may have been powered by Loid's own indifference - until now he has been arrogant or ignorant, but after that cutscene he even calls the Operator, Operator

@vazzmatazz I have been playing since the beginning. (2012). I couldn't care about the story. I've always loved gameplay and farming, and slowly overtime they add quest to progress with anything. I skip all fhe cutscenes and rush through the quests so I can back to what I enjoy.

I couldn't care about the story. I've always loved gameplay and farming, and slowly overtime they add quest to progress with anything. I skip all fhe cutscenes and rush through the quests so I can back to what I enjoy.
