      You could also upgrade your main beam to LED too as it look daft having halogen high beam! I had LED in high beam for quite a long time and it’s worth the upgrade! It lights up a lot further down the road so I can see better at night especially spotting the hazard like a deer in good time!😊

    Don't know if you'll still see this but how do you know if your headlights are projector or reflector?

    • @jong1679
      @jong1679 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Generally speaking if you have reflector headlights you will be able to see the bulb inside the headlight from the front of the car.
      With Projector headlights you will only be able to see a lense similar to the video posted.
      If still unsure search for projector Vs reflector in the search box on here.

    Is it right that there is no light pattern with led headlights ? I have some in my vectra c and they are really bright but don't seem to be lighting up the road the distance yours are 🤔

    • @davidriley9194
      @davidriley9194 ปีที่แล้ว

      What type of headlights do you have? Is it Projectors or reflectors? If you have upgraded it to LEDs in reflectors and if it has no cut off line then you’ll probably be run the risk of dazzling oncoming cars, if you been flashed then you need to have a look at different led bulbs. I have two novsights in my car in reflectors. One is my first bulbs I brought hasn’t got a very good cutoff line and I feel concerned that I may run the risk of getting flashed by oncoming cars, then I brought another pair of longer length led bulbs has got better cutoff line and I have less likely to dazzle oncoming cars. I did get flashed by one or two cars till I drop the beam down a bit and I don’t get flashed anymore. Hope this helps. It all depends on configuration of the LED bulbs
      Ps. LEDs in reflectors are not supposed to be designed for them really. Same goes with HIDs but you might get away with LEDs in reflectors

    Nice video! Thinking of buying this for 2007 Mercedes ML to eradicate the dull yellow halogens.. reliability wise how are they holding up? Does the Canbus come attached or separate? I think Novsight leds have canbus included..

    • @cruiserbrahuk5411
      @cruiserbrahuk5411  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Working fine thus far, I love the 'instant on' function of them, unlike HIDs which have a ramp up time.
      My car is non CANBUS so I dont know

    You are cover most of the cooling fan with the cap. Because you are blowing Air throw the hole inside your hedlighthousing the pressure is inside higher than outside and the fan moving slower. I would be very carefully with this solution 🔥🔥🔥 ...sorry for bad English

    I've a hyundai i30 my dust cap is flat, unlike yours, which is dome shaped. I'm worried ill still be able to fit the dust cap back on, eith the size of the fan? I don't want to leave the dust cap off, and end up with condensation in the lense etc

      Just buy replacement dust caps on line suitable for hid or led. Very cheap

    is it dangerous to overheat if we don’t cut a hole in the back of the lid ?

    • @n.shiina8798
      @n.shiina8798 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      depends on how far the distance between the fan intake to the lid. in his case, judging from the video the lid totally blocked the fan without a hole. no airflow would kill the LED chips long before you damage your headlight housing. though, the plastic bulb base might be melted if the material melt point is below 125C (i would bet the LED chip thermal junction is above 130C if heatsink temperature is already 125C. probably burned itself already at that point).
