Finally someone detailing warbonnet outdoors products! Very informative. Thank you! I love my ridgerunner with my lynx underquilt & mountainfly in shadow pine. Looking at getting a diamondback top quilt next. That shadowpine looks great 👍🏻
Shadowpine is a stunning colour. Absolutely beautiful. I'll be using a different set up today. 20F bushwack camo UQ with autumn orange BB XLC Single and the snow day minifly. I got that idea about mixing up colours from Hill People Gear. Cool to use different combos from time to time. When you get the TQ definitely get the collar on the neck. Holds in the heat. The over stuffing option works great too. For little money you get a hell of a lot of extra warmth.
Great job on the whole set up, great information as always, you do a great job giving reviews and helping with decisions on what to buy and look for, be safe and have fun my friend
@@The_gear_review_channel That is a small 'con'. It doesnt happen often, but it does occur. I've had it happen twice where the tarp was slighlty hindered in being deployed like i wanted. Still kept me dry, just didnt have as much room underneath for lounging.
Camping in negative 20 is great with the right gear. I did that in this moss shelter with spruce boughs, a wool blanket and reindeer hide as ground insulation.
@@ljbbushcraft6640 I'm looking forward to layering the 30F/-2C sleeping bag with this 20F/-7C quilt. Should be good for minus 20, maybe less with the addition of the overstuff. Bring on January 2022 🤠
you say that the general feedback is that the 20˚ degree topquilt is often used down to 10˚. are you referring to the stock quilt or to your own that has 3oz overfill? Thanks for a detailed video😊
My Western mountaineering has 4" loft at 30F and this Warbonnet has 7" at 20F OVERSTUFFED so I'm guessing standard 20F is a little over 6" loft. It's very warm for a 20F quilt.
Love the Warbonnet! Amazing camp … what a blessing!

@@The_gear_review_channel sure will. Did you get the adjustable side elastics on the top quilt?

That's great feedback to hear my man. Really appreciate that 😊
They are great hammocks bud
They're solid aren't they
@@The_gear_review_channel defo I got to upload some videos next time I go out
Good video. I chose my XLC years ago, as its bomb proof, super comfy and setup is quick and easy. It fits into the ruck nicely too.
It's such a great system to have. I'll set this up next time with a bigger gap between the trees though 😂

Great description of the product. Im on the look out for a hammock. I'll be picking your brain for advice very soon. Great video 📹👍
Thanks a mil mate. I'm looking forward to doing the video on the down underquilts and top quilt next. Fun times.
Turdy degrees?? Sounds like a shitty time.
Yeah it gets warm there
Great vid bro. Nice setup for sure. Camping in negative 20c is pretty epic tho! 🤣⛺️🤣. Is that the natural shelter I see at the start of the vid? 👍🔥👍⛺️

Life in the woods for sure, with the wrong gear it can be disastrous 🤣👍⛺️

This looks very interesting. I need to do some updates on my kit..it's out of date.
It’s a good way to utilise the gear you have

I have just linked up to your Instagram site.
Do one need to seamseal in the middle of the tarp where the ridge line goes?
Never had to be done in the years I’ve own it
