A nice story about what a great guy Clint is. My son was in a parking lot in the Green Hills shopping center in Nashville on a cold snowy/icy day. As he was walking across the parking lot he slipped and fell in front of a car. As he was laying there the guy got out of his car and said “Son, you okay?”, my son turned to him and said “he’ll yes, by god you are Clint Black!’ Clint gave him that famous smile as he helped him up!
I don't consider him underrated, but he is in my top 5. My list goes: 1. George Strait 2. Garth Brooks 3. Keith Whitley 4. Clint Black 5. Gary Allan @@janX9

"You we're the first thing that I thought of, when I thought I'd drink you off my mind. When I get lost in the Liquor, your the only one I find". One of the best lines ever written.

One of my favorite country music singers of all time, this man has God given talent, I haven't seen anything he can't do. I have been a very very big fan of his since 1989 and I always will be. Love you Clint Black.

You said it. Country music has changed in the last 15-20 years, and not for the better. No steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin, etc. It's all just a rock band with a twang now. 😢
THE OTHER SIDE OF DRINKING: Now that would be quite a Country Song. Some Peoole are actual Alcoholics, and some , casual drinkers. Both types medicate their personal pain. If you Turn your life over to Jesus, you do not get a perfect trouble free Life, but an Armor of Understanding, peace and the ABILITY to take the " HITS", in this life; Self caused, or from the World in General. You can do this, and Take on the Situation . Good Speed !
@@eugenegress5896I'm self medicating, so much going on, if you only knew. I'll be a happy woman when I go. Fixing to take a couple of shots of Jim Beam (my favorite, besides Clint Black)
Wayne Robinson bitch that dude is a joke. There's people on the radio that are more talented than him and are just as country. Jake Owen Brad paisley luke bryan Jason aldean sam hunt and thomas Rhett to name a few
He actually wrote this about waiting for his big break to come along. He was killing time waiting for the record deal to come through. He shares stories like this in concert.
You know the whole problem with everything is no one ever gives where credit is due for God. People just make entertainment out of stuff and cheat god out of a system that he's steady working hard to build solutions and people are purposely piling problems on to it because this is what they have become
The thing that makes Clint Black so awesome is he is almost always smiling when he sings. The man is genuinely happy and it shows in his music. George, Clint, Alan and so many others really set the benchmark so high in the 80's and 90's that nowadays country music, or what they think is country music sucks. I miss driving my Ford Dually on a date out listening to this awesome country music. Just made us feel good. 🎸 JR
I suspect he was told by his people to smile more. If you look at the cover of his first album he's not smiling, but he is on Put Yourself In My Shoes. Same goes for his first video, A Better Man. His smile sold a lot of records and yes that stuff matters.
I love this video, it shows a great singer and people having FUN , no cussing , no vulgarity, just grown folks having fun .What the HELL HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY?
Gotta say this whole album is a treasure. I love his voice. He's got these little Merle Haggard notes that make me smile while still keeping his own voice. He's amazing. Very underrated.

Somebody two-step with me!!!! “And this killing time, is killing me, Drinking myself blind, thinking I won’t see…man if I cross that line, will they burry me?? Hell I might just find I’ll be killing time for eternity” ….SO GOOD!😍
Got to see him at a county fair in my town and just saying me and my son were stuck on stupid on how talented he is, not just singing or playing the guitar but the man kicks ass on the drums and im pretty sure he played the harmonica too, one of the best days we had
This is one heck of a song by the best song writer ever. Clint Black's lyrics are laced with imagery and figurative language that simply tell a story within a story. Sometimes subtle and sometimes in your face, the play on words is a craft few other song writers can match. I was a school teacher before I decided to retire and I used Clint Black's music to help them recognize figurative language in everything that is written. Thank you Clint for sharing your talent with us.
After 30 years of being a fan, I finally saw Clint live this past summer. He was INCREDIBLE!! Such a talented musician with a great voice. His songs all feel so personal to me. And he was so upbeat, happy and interactive with the crowd! Best performance of my life!
The hook to this song is so amazing and when everyone joins in to sing the chorus. Just amazing. The lyrics the vocals just awesome. Old country was the best.
This is the song that put Clint Black on the map and honestly to me this is in the top five country songs of all time. that opening guitar riff is just pure country and really gets your attention and cleanse vocals are just awesome. can I tell you how many nights and my teens in early twenties I said all long drinking listening to this..
This song is my entire life put to a song. Be it a marriage or just about anything. I am just killing time until it's finally over. And I hope I find peace in eternity. Just saw Clint live tonight. Thanks to Clint Black for this song that I have loved for years.
I met Clint black at a radio station when I was 12 he's such a nice person and it stood out in my mind how he carried himself like a man with good values I never met my dad so...

There's an underground movement. Check out Goodnight, Texas, Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Shooter Jennings(yep, Waylon's boy), Hank Williams III(his country set, he does heavy metal too), outlaw country still lives, it just isn't prevalent on the radio.
Good morning Amanda Urbanosky how're you doing today and how is the family, hope you enjoy the weekend believe me this music 🎶 really take me to back in the days when my father always play this song and dance with some much happiness in his heart so tell me what your favourite album
I recall playing this song in bars, honky tonks and dance halls in the 90s. People don't go out to dance anymore do they? For a guy who played country, but grew up in the city, I never thought I'd say this, but I miss those places. Watching people dance and have a good time, very little fighting, just people enjoying themselves and appreciating a band they could dance to.
My mother was in Love with this man we have been to Branson Missouri to his shows I've actually shook hands with him after his show and he would sings CDs and T Shirts what a blessing to to been in the same room with him Rip Brother see you on the other side..
Because country music personifies basic American values and the Leftist slime in Hollywood and New York took control of the country music industry to get us as far from God, country, church and family values as they can.
Country music ain't even country anymore! You got artists like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, mixin hiphop beats to there songs, rappin and mentionin rappers names in their songs! Its disgraceful to country music and it's culture as a whole, and a disgrace to the legends who have made country what it is, and those who have fought to keep the traditional sound goin. They're tryin to change country. We are in a culture war between country, and the city music. Country ain't just a music style, it's a way of life. It's a culture, it's tradition, it's heritage. It ain't just boots, and cowboy hats, and horses. Or lifted trucks, bonfires, camouflage clothing, guns, huntin, and fishin, and all that stuff....it's about family, it's about true love and devotion to one man and one woman, it's about love and faith in God and livin by his word, and strivin to be the most respectable, honorable man you can be. It's about heritage, and the traditions passed down. When you got these new artists bringin in this hiphop influence into COUNTRY, now look what you got....FILTH AND TRASH! George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, etc, REAL COUNTRY, never sang and influenced people to get drunk, go clubbin, makin out with half drunk girls on tailgates at bonfires....you got girls everywhere in boots and daisy dukes twerkin and grindin to rap music and this new pop/hiphop country. Here in a few years country will have lyrics like most rap music have today. Content that promotes, idolizes, and influences the disrespecting and degradation of women, calling all women "bitches and Hoes", using women as sex objects and throwin them out on the curb for the next "hoe". Promotes, idolizes, and influences partyin, clubbin, lust, cheatin, and the betrayal of the heart. REAL COUNTRY women respect themselves, their bodies, don't dress indecently, and certainly don't support the rap/hiphop culture and what it promotes. And real country men don't encourage women to live that way and support those things, and uphold their women to the highest value, while maintaining their role as a respectable, honorable, gentleman. Morals, values, dignity, and self respect are traits fadin away in our society, and now country music as been sucked into that filthiness. And artists like Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan are starting the beginning stages of bringin that influences into country music! Just wait, there won't be boots, wranglers, cowboy hats in a decade from now! That fashion is already fadin away! Now it's bedazzled skinny jeans, flat brim hats turned sideways, and holdin your crotch and dancin as if you're a stripper while you perform. (FGL, LB) And country will be far from thumpy bass, acoustic/steel guitars, and fiddles! It'll be mostly electronic rap beats with bass like some of it is now! JUST WAIT!
James Cox bitch only thing lost is your hearing. We STILL CURRENTLY have great country like this. Open your deaf ears and you can hear that it's still around
James Cox there ain't no cowboys and no country feelings, hence no lyrics and songs to sing. People want to listen to the music, and listen to the crap
That song was released in 7-15-89, and became #1 in October of 89. This is how country should sound. Simple two steppin' country music. I always sing this song when I practice my singing. Clint Black, and other artists like Alan Jackson, and Garth Brooks, and Travis Tritt were the country class of '89. That's what I like about the 80's and 90's neotraditional country era

Love you too girl. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🤠👋
Here it is 2024 & here I am.
Drinking, haven't drank since Thanksgiving Day. Going through a lot right now
If you're reading this, Thanks Clint
I hope all is well in your future
Me too, me too. Cheers.
My mother is now in a nursing home, my uncle is battling cancer second time and my husband is locked up... Great '24
THE OTHER SIDE OF DRINKING: Now that would be quite a Country Song.
Killing time and drinking some beer...great song..
@@eugenegress5896I'm self medicating, so much going on, if you only knew.
I'll be a happy woman when I go. Fixing to take a couple of shots of Jim Beam (my favorite, besides Clint Black)
Wish music was still this good
really depends on what artist you listen too
Yeah me too! There is no such thing as country music anymore on the radio at least. It's all trash!
Try Jamey Johnson
James Johnson your wish could not be more granted
Wayne Robinson bitch that dude is a joke. There's people on the radio that are more talented than him and are just as country. Jake Owen Brad paisley luke bryan Jason aldean sam hunt and thomas Rhett to name a few
I used to work with him in the 1980's. He would sing "Sunshine" for me. What a great man!
Traci Miller jealous
Hello friend
Hello Traci how are you doing hope you're doing great with your family may God bless you more
He actually wrote this about waiting for his big break to come along.

Tina is with Dale I have never been with

The thing that makes Clint Black so awesome is he is almost always smiling when he sings. The man is genuinely happy and it shows in his music.
George, Clint, Alan and so many others really set the benchmark so high in the 80's and 90's that nowadays country music, or what they think is country music sucks. I miss driving my Ford Dually on a date out listening to this awesome country music. Just made us feel good. 🎸
JR
George Strait dancing with his wife!
Listen to Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton they come pretty damn close
@@lisakovacs4831 no that's Clint's older brother.
I suspect he was told by his people to smile more. If you look at the cover of his first album he's not smiling, but he is on Put Yourself In My Shoes. Same goes for his first video, A Better Man. His smile sold a lot of records and yes that stuff matters.
You got that right.
I love this video, it shows a great singer and people having FUN , no cussing , no vulgarity, just grown folks having fun .What the HELL HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY?
This was shot at a bar in Sealy Texas. It's called the Saddle Back and still has the same country atmosphere

December 2023 still love listening to this song .... love ya Clint

Hello scam boy
Gotta say this whole album is a treasure. I love his voice. He's got these little Merle Haggard notes that make me smile while still keeping his own voice. He's amazing. Very underrated.
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?

Saw Clint at a concert last summer, and this man has still GOT IT.
What a classic
His album Killing Time is one of the greatest country albums ever made.
Hello there. Thank you for your care, love, and support through my career.. I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite album from all of my albums you have listened to so far?
This song broke music forever, i think they gave up and went home because it could never be this good again.
This is the first country album I bought in with my own money in 1989. In my opinion, top 10 and arguably top 5 album in country.
Killing time
Well, you have a lot of music yet to listen to then
One of the most iconic guitar riffs in music.
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?
Somebody two-step with me!!!!
“And this killing time, is killing me, Drinking myself blind, thinking I won’t see…man if I cross that line, will they burry me?? Hell I might just find I’ll be killing time for eternity” ….SO GOOD!😍
Let's go baby 😂
You're absolutely right....good afternoon how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's a lovely day that the lord has made.
Anyone listening to this gem of a song in 2025?

These songs are like time machines - only I wish they literally were.
@marcosbryant27 his voice
After 30 years of being a fan, I finally saw Clint live this past summer. He was INCREDIBLE!! Such a talented musician with a great voice. His songs all feel so personal to me. And he was so upbeat, happy and interactive with the crowd! Best performance of my life!
Hi
I saw him, Lorrie Morgan and Merle Haggard back in the early nineties. I was awestruck. So much talent!

The hook to this song is so amazing and when everyone joins in to sing the chorus. Just amazing. The lyrics the vocals just awesome. Old country was the best.

Clint Black is a absolute
"And if I cross that line, and they bury me. Well I just might find I'll be killing time for eternity" Don't get much more powerful than that.
This is the song that put Clint Black on the map and honestly to me this is in the top five country songs of all time. that opening guitar riff is just pure country and really gets your attention and cleanse vocals are just awesome. can I tell you how many nights and my teens in early twenties I said all long drinking listening to this..

Absolutely brilliant!. The real country music, quite a change from today’s rubbish. Great musicians playing great music. Love the 6 string bass lines, power & depth.👍
I was born the 80s and heard alot of country but his voice is country. Nowdays nothing sounds like past days of pure country music.

So sorry for your loss SIR. I understand what you are saying. Country music is a icon when it comes to the life circumstances. Their is doing for everything you experience in the walk of like. From love, to the one that got away, to the one you spent your life with and lost. I have to say if it wasnt was COUNTRY music I dont think I would listen to music at all lol

Thank you Curt!
May you rest in peace knowing you brought so many people together with your music.
There's no country like this anymore
You are right about that.
Pop Country now😣
Their is it's just not on the radio or promoted by anyone....
There is still country music like that.
Search for The Steelwoods, Cody Jinks, and many others. You'll see, they're awesome and true.
I agree. No country is this way anymore .
"If I did the things I ought to, you still would not be mine"
I love that line! They just don't write music like that anymore.

hello do you really believe in God...

When country was COUNTRY, and not pop.
Well said
Amen brother
Preaaaaach
Rocketninja200 agree with you ok that one
It's only gotten worse too
how did we lose great country music like this?
People got stupid
James Cox there ain't no cowboys and no country feelings, hence no lyrics and songs to sing. People want to listen to the music, and listen to the crap
That song was released in 7-15-89, and became #1 in October of 89. This is how country should sound. Simple two steppin' country music. I always sing this song when I practice my singing. Clint Black, and other artists like Alan Jackson, and Garth Brooks, and Travis Tritt were the country class of '89. That's what I like about the 80's and 90's neotraditional country era
Just good ole country. Times were so different then!
I just noticed the tip of the hat nod to George Strait in the video 😂
Great song and he holds a smile throughout the song❤
