If you carefully observed him, you will believe me that there are a lot of grammatical errors, poor pronunciation of English words, difficulties/akward on choice of words and uncompleted sentences. However, he frequently used "could" even where he supposed to use "shall, should, will, would & may". Now therefore, I recommend that "Brighter Grammar" from 1 to 4 will help him if he can drill it for proper understanding of those auxiliaries. Frequent reading of good English documents will also help to familiarize himself with a lot of English vocabularies.
