I heard his whole career. He was a wonderful adornment to the roster. He was a lyric baritone, but coped with the heavy roles wonderfully. He knew his voice and along with his artistry he became a favorite for many years with the audience and the standees.

Prese il posto di Warren scomparso all'improvviso nel 60 nella Forza del destino al Met con Tebaldi Tucker Hines Baccaloni Sgarro Ordassy, circa 500 recite al Met.

Wow, great to hear even once, this is so glorious. He is as good as any great baritone voices, so so solid. Met maybe knows how to attract those fame chasing not real opera lovers into the house by casting 3 Tenor there...it is funny and silly the same time,

@@xxsaruman82xx87 Lord, as I said, it be further hurting into depression mode if further digging into the glory era...Pavarotti loved GDS and avoid being compared to Jussi Bjloring... he is such a smart and humble man. He avoided Calaf role to leave it for MDM and Corelli. Personally I think there are doz of italian tenors alone that are much greater than P, but I love his early voice and personality very much. He the king among 3 tenors, 2 free riders there.
Today's singers beyond no voice, there is no one half as humble as P. So cocky and so laughable, doing every role with zero shame... Our problem compounded further...
