SIN THE BIN hi I would think the spring is not seated correctly

Once you are sure the spring is all in....you can adjust the blade pivot screw and use a lube called quick release

Reversible pocket clip is quite dangerous with this kind of lock, just because the lever have a kind of hook and when you pul out of your pocket the a big chance that the "hook" will descend still in your pocket. From my point of view is is a very bad idea!
