I've watched both of their full interrogations and these two ppl are absolute monsters. Obviously, Seth has never missed a meal, yet starved poor sweet Mary.

When the other inmates are done with him and he pleads for medical care, he should be reminded that he doesn’t believe that doctors can be trusted because they are the priests of the cult… and that “don’t you believe that your incredibly strong faith in God is all you need for this injury to work itself out on its own?

I can stomach this only through seeing his face when he realizes he's not gonna get what he wants at sentencing. It's golden seeing this abuser feel what it's like to be under control.
Exactly this. Seeing justice being carried out is the only thing that helps feeling a slight sense of relief in these cases.

My daughter was born premature and struggled to put on weight. She had issues properly latching and we supplemented with some formula because my milk supply wasn’t stellar at first. I can remember how proud I was when I took her in for a 4 month check up when she was doing much better with feeding and the pediatrician called her a butterball. I cannot fathom how you could see your child fading like that and not do everything you can to intervene and get help.
Chubby babies are happy babies! But still, we all are just doing our best. Feeding kids can be so hard. But these people didn't eveb try
There's nothing scarier than when your baby is losing weight and doesn't seem to be getting enough nutrition and calories. I had trouble with breastfeeding (producing enough) and had to supplement with formula, eventually going completely onto formula. My poor baby wasn't getting enough milk for a week or so and I can't imagine a child being hungry for a prolonged period of time. He is now very heavy and solid for his age but I still worry that he has had enough food and I never want him to be hungry
Some parents struggle to afford formula. That, to me, is a crime in itself.

Can we please point out that the Dispatcher did a great job of probing and asking questions to get him to keep talking, drew him into a conversation. This Dispatcher showed incredible skill, guts and Papa Bear instincts. He more than helped out the prosecutors and the court, he is the UNSUNG hero in getting justice for this baby girl!!!
Edit: I have some level of attention deficit so I do have a tendency to not hear or gloss over words or even question if I heard something correctly or incorrectly. I will never understand how someone can do this to their own baby. An innocent, tiny baby. A baby that trusted you to protect them and nurture them. My daughter is 10 months. This story makes me want to hold her and never let go. Sick.
My son is 10 months. I don’t understand it either. It makes me absolutely sick. They are the most innocent, amazing, funny, sweet little tiny humans, 100% dependent upon you for EVERYTHING. And to not even do the basic and FEED the poor baby??!? 🤯. And what in the HELL is putting your baby down at 3 pm and not seeing them at ALL until 10 am the next DAY?!!? 😡. My fiancé and I will anticipate when his nap will be over just so we can see him again. I just can’t w ppl like this. Something is just not right in their heads. Poor little Mary. My kids are 9 and 7.5 now, but true... No freaking way after two hours would I not be checking on them. My daughter has sleep apnea due to small nasal passages and my son was born with a huge tongue he constantly choked on... Even with a healthy baby you're supposed to be checking constantly! These people are despicable and I can't even put into words how disgusted I am that they even have the term 'parents'. RIP sweet baby Mary ❤❤
Edit: not to mention, most parents I've met have been constantly paranoid about SIDS for the first two years of their babies lives, myself included, so I've never met a parent who went longer than 3-4 hours without checking on their baby. The two people I've met who are slightly neglectful are nowhere near this bad, but also aren't in my life anymore because I'm too vocal for that shit.
Seth looks like he never missed a meal, yet 10 month old Mary was a little over a pound heavier than she was at birth! The 911 operator was amazing. I had to rewind when Seth said he put Mary to bed at 3pm and didn’t check on her until 10am the next day! Hopefully Seth never enjoys a full meal in prison. Rip Sweet Baby Mary you deserved so much better than this 🙏 🩷
Hopefully the only hearty meal he gets in prison is a big ol' sausage, if ya know what I mean.

I recall bawling my eyes out at the hospital because my newborn was hard to wake up to feed. And basically being told to chill out by the doctor. First time mom syndrome.

I used to wake up and go check to make sure my newborn daughter was breathing and I was only 16yo.
I believe most mom's maternal instincts kick in but sometimes they go into overdrive and you can't imagine life without them now so all those fears just accumulate even if it's a bad thought, or thinking you aren't feeding them enough or too much, down to the color of their poo! xD lol
Eventually, the real MVP oio6😂 learn how to tell which cry is a hungry of hurt, "I'm uncomfortable cry" you developed a sleep schedule, play, bottle or breast time ❤
There is catharsis in watching evil parents get prison time. I survived horror, and never saw justice. It has taken me a while to understand why I watch these stories. Now I understand. Thanks for what you do.

Same, I grew up with a wannabe culture leader father, hyper abusive and neglectful parents, there were so, so many chances for adults to interveiene yet, they never did. Seeing what seems to be rare moments where those types of "parents" actually are held accountable to some extent, is cathartic.

Neglected babies tend to stop crying all together since nobody responds when they do cry. This poor baby most likely starved to death in relative silence, because she knew nobody was coming to help her. There’s something particularly awful about that to me
Towards the end she was probably too weak to cry, and they just didn't care.
I couldn’t produce milk for my babies and we would try and try, hoping it would come in like they always say. No. My babies SCREAMED in hunger. I got them formula immediately of course. Although I never gave up, I was still never able to produce it, but it’s definitely noticeable when babies are not only hungry but STARVING. The hospital kept saying i “should be able to” and “it will come in soon” but they forget that not everyone is born perfectly and functions perfectly and sent us home to figure it out.
However, any child, person or animals even will stop responding so much to any stimuli after being neglected for so long because they become used to it and their pleas for attention aren’t being listened to anyway. I’ve seen it before and it’s honestly heartbreaking and terrifying. Seeing a baby too small for his age not even be able to lift his head or wiggle his legs anymore due to severe neglect stays in your brain.
Always horrified when learning that one of these criminal abusers and/or neglected is a nurse, teacher, or daycare provider, or had aspirations to be one.

I’m disabled. My father felt the same way about me. I’m happy my mother (who did almost all of the parental work) let me get just enough medical care to survive which is why I’m still alive as I’m not severely disabled & can pass as a normal person easily. She didn’t let me die from my constant infections. I believe my father would’ve. I basically raised myself. My dad forced me to be strong. He even trained me until I could barely stand so I could be a great athlete & study with sleepless nights until I got sick which was all the time.
This made me cry, especially when I heard the “it is what it is.”
That’s what my parents would always say. Made my skin crawl. He even looks like my dad, & my mother will always put him first

I still am baffled every time I'm reminded of how Seth just immediately admitted to the 911 dispatcher that he called his *lawyer* first. Not even phrasing it as a panicked call to "my father" or "my relative" to hide how he sought help (legal counsel) for himself before seeking emergency help for his daughter.
I'm not surprised he called his lawyer first; I'm surprised he didn't lie by omission...or at least frame it as a call for help from his father.
He didn't even deliver the info like the damning confession it is. So bizarre. Did he not realize how insanely terrible not only doing that but also saying it like that to the 911 dispatcher would appear??

as someone who survived some serious CA (my case was in the papers and I had to testify against my mother in court at aged 5) I am so grateful for the victim based reporting you do. i always cry a little when you describe the children, their toys, and talk about who they could have been. It may seem strange, but its a part of my coping to bear witness to cases like this. it helps with the survivors guilt. Thanks guys.

Survivor's guilt is so rough and I can't imagine what you've been through. I'm so happy you made it out though, and that you're here and healthy and away from your mom. Keep on surviving.
Honestly what helped me more than I thought it would was working in a primary/grade school. I can make sure every kid I work with feels listened to and loved, I can make sure they know what isn't normal or safe behaviour for a parent, I can immediately flag any concerns I have. Being the person I wish was there for me at the time, but for other children, has honestly really helped.
I also watch these, but I think instead of survivors guilt, it's more like making sure I know exactly what to watch out for and how things got missed. My own case was involved in a massive investigation 2 years ago (I was 27) that saw multiple departments of social services fired and dismissed from ever being social workers again, because they had a backlog of more than 25 YEARS of cases and reports of child abuse concerns throughout the county that they never looked into. Thousands of children in need, completely ignored, even if it involved the police. From people now in their 30s to recent new born babies, all ignored until Autumn 2021. There were tonnes of school's that had put child safety concerns in that would be told to stop flagging it as "the case has been investigated and closed" in cases that were never opened. It only got exposed after a child was killed in another county, and it caused a policy review and inspection of all social services branches.

My baby slept a lot but nothing like that. The first time she slept through the night I was checking on her every hour. I stayed up all night because I was afraid something was wrong.
As a baby from 6 weeks old I slept all through the night.
It’s not totally bizarre as kids do sleep.

He blubbered over his fate but never shed a tear for his own baby.
My childhood friend Morgan Bauer, went missing in Georgia 2016... her mother just made a post yesterday confirming 2 individuals were arrested and being charged I suppose. She's gone, she was murdered. But I just... I'm so heartbroken we had so much hope that she would be found. And I just need to know if there's ever a time where you guys could please cover this story, Morgan deserved so much more in her short life and you guys do such a woderful job of spreading awareness around so many tragic cases.

I totally agree. By watching these videos, we are learning about these precious angels and then they are not forgotten. Tears are shed for them all over the world and they enter the hearts of so many people, which is the LEAST that they deserve after how much they suffered. And it always makes me hug my baby a little tighter and gain deep appreciation for her and my role as her mommy.
It’s funny (not haha funny) that folks never ask why people watch things about historical tragedies… these are “normal” people and theses tragedies also matter.
I think it also helps us learn signs of what to watch for.

I recently watched this story on law and crime. These parents both are disgusting. The police officers were horrified by what they found. The Sheriff stated this is something these officers will remember for the rest of their lives.
The idiom is 'dead as a doornail.' These two are absolutely disgusting. The only good thing is his look of shock when he hears the penalty he could/is to serve. Natural selection would have wiped Seth out long ago if it wasn't for modern medicine/nutrition/other advances. Even if he can grow carrots. Mary deserved so much more in this life. When I first read about this case it haunted me for months. Mary suffered so much. 😢
When they ask him anything he's no emotions and when he says she's dead as a door nail I was shocked.
The baby didn't just have a cough. They found drugs in the newborns system.
I grew up in a Baptist Christian family and we trusted doctors, Blessed Be.

These stories break me. I always have to go snuggle my son after. The misery machine is almost single-handedly responsible for my son being so spoiled. I can't help but to spoil him after every story I hear on this channel involving young children.
Showing your son love through physical affection will not spoil him. Children need a lot of hugs and cuddles, so you're doing a great job.

Regardless of what you believe in, faith is NEVER a justification to harm others. “Parents” should not be allowed to withhold healthcare (and yes that includes vaccines) or comprehensive education for children under “religious exemptions”.

No. They were malnourished also and they claimed they would eat grass and dirt when hungry. Apparently a goat also on the farm wasn't being fed and died. Seth supposedly also said if you don't work you don't get fed.

TH-cam recommended this video, probably because I watch other true crime channels. I really like the way you go back and forth between two people, state the facts, give character and the human factor to the victim while rightfully shaming the monsters responsible for her death. Having the kitty in the background is a nice touch too and I'm assuming you have 3 because of the pic at the end. I love cats! 😻😻😻
Those people are sick man. I don't trust the medical industry either but just like most occupations, most of the individual people (doctors in this case) really do have the goal of helping people and making people feel better and get healthy. Honestly, it sounds like they wouldn't even need a doctor if they had just fed her properly. I mean, they would need the vaccinations to go through a doctor but generally, it sounds like she just needed to eat. And as a Christian, it appalls me when people try to use God as a replacement for medical care. This guy even stated he knows God put doctors on earth to help and still he refused to take his baby to one. This reminds me of a story, kind of a parable, though it's not from Scripture:
A man was at home when it started to rain. It just kept raining and raining and flooding began to take over his neighborhood. Everyone escaped but he remained in his home. As the fl😅ood waters rose, a man in a row boat approached and offered him an escape. The man said, "no, I'm good. God will rescue me, but thank you for the offer." The water filled his house so he climbed onto his roof. Another man showed up in a motor boat and offered the man a ride to safety. Again he said, "I'm good. God will rescue me, but thanks for the offer." Finally the water level reached his roof and a helicopter appeared. A man came down with a basket and offered the man a ride to safety. He said, "I'm good. God will rescue me, but thank you for the offer." The basket and the rescuer were lifted back into the helicopter and it flew away. Moments later the raging flood pulled the man off his roof and he was swept away to his death. He ends up at the entrance to Heaven and meets God. He asked, "why am I here? Why didn't You rescue me?" To which God replied, "I sent you 2 boats and a helicopter! What more were you expecting?"

Crazy seeing what these terrible people did. These people wouldn't be able to get an animal from a shelter and they have 3 kids!!!
These type of stories need to be told to try to avoid such tragedies in the future. It makes people be more aware when they see things amiss in families. Education is a powerful tool to prevent such.
These two are crazy! What I also find bizarre is the whole Gerber baby food angle. I don't live on a farm and have raised 6 children. I never needed jars of baby food. Not to mention, there likely wasn't a single jar of baby food in their house or the trash.
On the contrary, there were tons of empty baby food containers and uneaten baby food was found in the garbage, AND expired jars/cans were found around the house. This story is so, so sickening and these two deserve endless torment.

it’s always so bittersweet to see a post from you guys😢 on the one hand i loveee your content and how you honor the victims and shame the suspects unapologetically! you guys do a great job telling the victims stories, honoring their memory and bringing awareness! however i know that when i get that notification most likely it’s going to be a heartbreaking story about someone ( usually sweet innocent babies ) being abused and likely unalived 😢😢😢 but i have to say it again, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK ! i appreciate you guys reporting on less talked about stories and not using the same recycled stories as most of these other channels. it can’t possibly be easy on the mental to do all of this research and bring us the details but you do it time and time again. i’m locked in and supporting you guys forever ❤ 🤞🏽

Writing this on October 25th 2023, and as of today, little Mary would have been six years and two days old if she hadn't had these villains as parents. Rest in peace little one ❤
We had a similar thing happen a few years ago in Calgary. I forget what religion they were, but a 2 year old toddler was with parents who didn’t believe in modern medicine. So this very sick little boy was given garlic for viral meningitis; the parents were found guilty but they got a retrial and were found not guilty.

I remember that case. They're really disgusting people and parents. He was a total jerk and a bully. The mom just did what he said and went along with everything he said and did. He ruled with an iron fist. Thankfully the remaining kids are no longer with them. My question is why didn't the grandparents get involved sooner

This is so infuriating to me. My daughter was super chunky as a baby and toddler because the thought of her being hungry to me literally made me feel sick to my stomach. My momma insticts driving me to make sure my baby was fed and FULL. Poor baby marys cries went ignored when she was asking for what she needed most. To be fed and attended to. How could you do this to your own darling baby?! I want to see the jail starve them and make them feel the agonizing pain they put their baby through. Disgusting wastes of space. They are the true definition of "air thief"
