Great idea! Years ago, beman made thin diameter carbon arrows with out-serts & they were indestructible- sometimes they were difficult to pull out of dense foam targets & pulled off, but the way you do it, you can affordably replace. Good video.
Yeah, I shot those Bemans with the outserts, they worked well. I can't find anything from Ethics for the Easton ACC Pro Hunting Shaft 340. It would be nice to have aluminum wrapped with carbon then beefed up with an aluminum footer. I really enjoy the content in your videos. I plan to shoot them out of my custom takedown recurve with a very good single bevel broadhead & i need FOC. I do have a few old 2117's laying around but I don't want to butcher them if I don't have to. Thanks 😊
Sounds like it’ll be a lethal setup! These gold tips (w aluminum footer) come out to 675grs total arrow weight w 23% FOC. Was bored one day so I did the math. Glad you enjoyed it! Good luck with your build!
@@SeasonsChange24 My latest arrow build for my Prime was done in January & February. I took some Victory Xtorsion shafts & put a 125 gr. Ethics insert with a 125 gr. point. I bareshaft nock-tuned them b4 I fletched them. I fletched them with 3 vanes & 2 different patterns of a 4 vane & they all shoot true. Total weight on that .204 arrow with a Bishop Holy Trinity 125 head is 640gr. Very high tolerance on every thing involved with no weak link in the chain.

Thanks! I could see that happening after some use

Joseph tread lightly now to make meat 🥩
Awesome video! Small tip instead of the bastard file to bevel and debur the footer a rifle case deburr and chamfer tool works great.
Great tip!
