@@CommanderAki if you do come back to play, just know it was downtiered from 6.7-6.3 some point a while ago. It dominates whatever BR its at now since its not longer able to be uptiered to 7.7

The 100mm D-10 is awesome. The thing with Russian tanks is that you unlock a really powerful cannon early on and it just gets transferred to different hulls for the next 3 BR. I mean, look at the 122mm D-25, which gets unlocked with the ISU-122 and KV-122 and still gets used by the IS-4M and T-10 at 7.7.
I'd love to see you play the SUB I-II for Japan. It's like a low tier Falcon. Phenomenal SPAA, but also more than capable of dealing with enemy ground forces at its battle rating.
Fun fact, Jimi Heselden, inventor of the hesco block, did not also invent segways. He bought the company in 2009, when it was already 10 years old, then 9 months later died by falling off a cliff while using one of their products.
It's nice seeing that the T-34-100 has an actual place. I was afraid to get it because of the frankly terrible chassis at the BR, so I got the T-44-122, and it's been really hit and miss for me. The 122 just seems to get volumetric-ed so frequently, where the 100 just cuts like butter. As for the requested suggestion, the BR update for mid-tier France seems to have been very positive impact. It would be fun to see the big French "Heavies" out and about :)
Honestly, the base 30+ sec of reload on the T-44-122 has convinced me to get the T-34-100 instead. I'm not enough of a good shot to be able to work around such a long reload.

Always felt like the dragging development time and decision not to prioritise and then not to produce T-34-100 was wrong on both Czechoslovakia and Poland. Both pursued similar projects, both were given license for obsolete T-34-85 and SU-100 while soviets were producing T-54. T-34-100 would have allowed to 1)make a tank that can get ammo standardized with T-54; 2)would be quite desired on international arms market until T-54 would be sold; 3)would prevent waste of steel on obsolete crap. However soviets never had understood the pros of such approach and why supporting such ventures from their allies would be better for the alliance as a whole(which further shows that it was empire and not an alliance). Meanwhile chinese are renowned for their J-8, A-5 and other new designs based on older soviet vehicles. It's a miracle that T-62 wasn't invented by China first as it's just enlarged T-55.

I think the Ferdinand ended up higher because the people playing it are playing a bit smarter and doing decently, so the BR went up. It's the same theory I have for the French tree, as the only people crazy enough to grind that tree are the ones doing ok in the vehicles, and it doesn't appeal to the masses like the big 3 does. Whereas things like the Panther are played by the "blindly drive forward at full speed and die, while complaining about the game" masses, so they end up staying a bit lower BR. EDIT: A few of the USSR T34 turrets has the vertical piece of armour either side of the gun modeled inside the turret front (I haven't seen it on other tanks, but it may be in game). So if volumetric hits that piece front on the game decides you have ~600mm of armour and the round does nothing... It is really dumb, same as what happens with side shots when you hit the thin piece of armour above the track on it's side lol.
Im sure you probably played it (them) years ago, but I think a video on the P40 (the Italian tank, not the American plane) would be a lot of fun. It has a very interesting and unique lineup at 3.3, especially since the Italian Chaffee is now only 3.3 (tho I prefer the AB43). But also, just because its an rare Italian tank, most people dont know how to kill it when they see it Besides, low tier Italy isnt very well loved, and I think thats a mistake when talking about the P40
So good to have you back while I'm off with a chest infection. I don't appreciate the funny moments making me cough up a lung. But love your content. Still haven't managed to watch your tiger video all the way through yet but keep up the great work
The man who died on a Segway was not its inventor, he was the CEO of Segway after buying the company in 2010. The inventor of the Segway, Dean Kamen, is still alive.
25:04 "Why is my team not shooting at those things?" Well, it seems that the player in question ported over equipment from WoWS - he had clearly engaged his " 'someone else's problem' field generator" and was thus invisible to everyone else...
The Segway inventor is still alive, Dean Kamen. The guy who bought Segway from Kamen, Jimi Heselden invented the HESCO barrier, and later drove off a cliff on a Segway. 😲
I’ll agree that most of the time people misuse smoke grenades and blind themselves and their teammates more than the enemy. Smoke shells are good for putting up a screen in front of the enemy so you can move and maneuver. Smoke grenades can provide a little concealment if you use them correctly, but if you’re immobilized you’re most likely just delaying the inevitable.
2 Things I've done on Warthunder: Unbind Smoke, use G for something else. Unbind alternative scoreboard key, use N for something else. (I set it to Thermals/NVDs)
that first shot that nailed the tiger 1, either odd has some super eyesight or his graphics are so good, he can literally identify what tanks it is.. I can't even see what he is shooting at TBH.. 👍
Some suggestions for tanks I haven't seen played in a long time: UK - Sherman Firefly, Comet, Concept 3, Caenarvon, FV4202, QF-3.7 Ram, Grant I, Eland 90 Mk7, Tech tree Chieftains US - M56 Scorpion, M46 Tiger, T92, M36B2 USSR - ASU85, SU-152, T-10M, ISU-122S, BM-8-24 Germany - Pz 4 H or J, Dicker Max, Sturer Emil, Pz 4/70(V), Panther (A, D, F, G), Marders Japan - Pretty much anything from 2.3 - 5.0 that was made in Japan Israel, France, Sweden, China - don't really have many unique vehicles For CAS Germany - any Me 410, any Bf-110, Ta-152 C3 ( I dare you to destroy 3 ground vehicles and 1 plane in one match with it!), Ta-154, He-219 A-7 UK - Wyvern, Tempest Mk5 (Vickers P) its 3.7 lol, Hurricane MkIV, Mosquito with 57mm cannon, Beaufighter MK 1 with the 40mm cannons if you have it US - P39s and P63s Japan - Ki-109 (75 mm at 1.7 lol), Ki-102. USSR - I honestly haven't seen a decent IL-2 CAS video in a long time
Sweden has a ton of unique vehicles, they're just all open top. They don't get really any premiums, though. At least nothing drastically different from their tech tree versions.
@@volteer1332 true but the fun ones are mostly at low tier and they have been played extensively by most WT YT channels since they were launched in the past couple of years.
@Spinosaur_32 the m/43 has the same gun and rounds, but it has a coaxial that you can use to make planes think twice about strafing you boldly. They have the same depression too, but the front plate on the m/43 is actually 70mm, while the pvkv II has an open back that any machine gun can mow down your entire crew with. The pvkv 2 can hide better, but the wobbly nature of its chassis makes it extremely hard to put a bead on targets. In addition, I have had so many times when the elevation mechanism was destroyed on the pvkv making it completely helpless to someone just driving around behind you to finish you off with an MG. The m/43 at least has cover so they have to load an HE or actually penetrate the cab again. The 1946 m43 also has superior gun traverse range to the 1963 version, and the long chassis makes it pretty maneuverable while in motion; I've had at least a few moving shots take out my opponents with the m/43, but never with the pvkv II
@Spinosaur_32 but the turret is so slow and the magnification so high that it can't (and shouldn't) brawl and it can't peek corners because of how bouncy it is when stopping
I'm surprised that OddBawZ dislikes smokes so much. Access to smoke rounds, especially auxiliary, is my #2 favorite accessory for a tank (#1 is stabilizer). Smokes make for excellent advancement cover and for being an absolute menace when holding a point with minimal natural cover. That said, its a huge pain when allies throw smoke right in front of the team when clean shots are lined up.
I forget which episode it was where you saw that player name "Bitofapickle" and laughed so hard about it. I've been searching for it and can't find it. Hearing you say it again in this one brought back memories.
Odd here's a video idea. = combo low tier British tree. you take out EITHER/BOTH the Crusader II or/and the SARC mkVI (2pdr) with the objective of rushing for a early game flank YOU MUST get a minimum of 3 kills with the ground vehicle to allow yourself to get into the premium Corsair F mk II to then attempt to provide effective CAS. you are allowed ONE BACKUP per vehicle per match good luck!😁and welcome back
My ideas for OddBawz: *G91 with a Mixed AA-20/AS-20 load for hunting Helis and Drones along with Ground Pounding. *Ottomatic video, I don't think Odd has done one yet? *SIDAM in both variants going after CAS
The guy that invented the Segway is still alive. Jimi Heselden, the inventor of the Hesco, bought the Segway company later after the Segway was invented. He is the one that died while riding the Segway.
You're probably not gonna like my suggestion very much but the T-72B3 is an absolute behemoth, I noticed you haven't covered it before so time to bring out, you're going to love it.
You were harsh on that Centurion, man. The first thing you learn on this kind of game is to never trust your teammates (and you just experienced it ironically enough). It's a team game, but there's so much you can coordinate with your mates on games like this. So if you get critical'd and there's a Tiger II 50m away looking at you, yeah you better smoke up.
I don't think ive seen you play the pvkv m/43 (either version) before. They've both got pretty insane gun depression, 16 degrees, and they have the same nasty cannon that the PVKV II has. It would also be cool to see you play that russian missile milk truck and show us how those actually get used. There's a lot of open top vehicles that i haven't seen much gameplay of and im hoping to learn from better players how to play them other than sit behind hills and hope you don't get strafed
Here’s an idea. Compare the ratel 20 and ZT3A2 both at 8.7. The ZT’s missiles got massively nerfed in speed and controlability and the sight is broken. The 20 still has a usable ATGM plus the auto-cannon and scouting.
Jimi Heselden - bought Segway (not sure he invented it), then died 9 months later reversing his Segway off a cliff accidentally while letting a dogwalker go past. Lesson for us all: don't let dogwalkers go past.
My only counter point to unbind smoke is that I've used it to distract; people often, though not always, look at smoke to see if someone is there, and sometimes clouds get bombed. That said, I've never dropped it where it would blind my allies, so...
My only question, and one I always ask about the T-44, is why don't you use the top shell? BR-412D is objectively better than BR-412B, so why not use it? Similarly, BR-367 is better than BR-365A, but I always see people using the latter. I don't get it.
The Soviets knew the 100mm was the superior anti-armour gun, but they also knew the majority of the time they'd be engaging infantry emplacements with PaKs in support, and the 122mm had considerably greater HE performance. That's why they put the 122mm on the JS-2 and -3 even though one prototype/test version of the JS-1 had the 100mm. Likewise, the SU-100 was the better outright anti-armour vehicle than the ISU-122 (or 152 for that matter), but again the majority of the threats to Soviet armour were NOT German tanks, which is why the SU-100 was a lower development and build priority than JSU-122 or -152.
I dont know if already did a video on it but zis-30 pretty funny to play even at 5.3 and 6.3 uptier it gets throug some panzers :D I know its not a premium and its open top but still very funny to play
I usually only use smoke when I get in a sticky situation where I am too close to their spawn and I use it to get back to the middle of the map. BUT ONLY IF MY TEAM ISN'T BY ME I also frustrates me when someone gets shot and they instantly smoke, but then don't relocate and die to the thing that shot them.
This is one of the three tanks of which I believe have a shared origin story; namely the one where 3 soviet mechanics in an abandoned Russian armed depot, Sergei, Ivan & Dimitri, get into a drunk argument about who can built the best tank from scratch. Which marks the humble beginning of the T34-100, T44-122 and the Obj 248.

That's been one of my favorite tanks in one of my favorite lineups for awhile now. Love your videos sir
Omg, What a snipe on that tiger!
The Egyptians had the T34/105 equipped with the Vickers 105mm. in a Vickers modified turret. They were withdrawn from service and sold off in 1987.
But also, just because its an rare Italian tank, most people dont know how to kill it when they see it
Besides, low tier Italy isnt very well loved, and I think thats a mistake when talking about the P40
yes, this is a beast of a vehicle, especially at the top, and if the opponents are not the USSR, the Pz3-4 will burst with a bang.
Isn’t the BR-412D shell better than the B variant? Doesn’t the D have more flat pen and a little more angled pen.
Yeah that's what I thought. I think at 10m it's 239mm instead of 218mm
Check the muzzle velocity, filler, or angle pen, the angle pen is usually the big difference for most rounds.
That first shot... Chefs kiss.
0:17 stares in t-34-122
"am I joke to you?"
everyone "yes"
2 Things I've done on Warthunder:
Unbind Smoke, use G for something else.
Unbind alternative scoreboard key, use N for something else. (I set it to Thermals/NVDs)
24:08 Tutorial: "Unbind your smoke key"... 👏👏👏!!
that first shot that nailed the tiger 1, either odd has some super eyesight or his graphics are so good, he can literally identify what tanks it is.. I can't even see what he is shooting at TBH.. 👍
Some suggestions for tanks I haven't seen played in a long time:
UK - Sherman Firefly, Comet, Concept 3, Caenarvon, FV4202, QF-3.7 Ram, Grant I, Eland 90 Mk7, Tech tree Chieftains
US - M56 Scorpion, M46 Tiger, T92, M36B2
USSR - ASU85, SU-152, T-10M, ISU-122S, BM-8-24
Germany - Pz 4 H or J, Dicker Max, Sturer Emil, Pz 4/70(V), Panther (A, D, F, G), Marders
Japan - Pretty much anything from 2.3 - 5.0 that was made in Japan
Israel, France, Sweden, China - don't really have many unique vehicles
For CAS
Germany - any Me 410, any Bf-110, Ta-152 C3 ( I dare you to destroy 3 ground vehicles and 1 plane in one match with it!), Ta-154, He-219 A-7
UK - Wyvern, Tempest Mk5 (Vickers P) its 3.7 lol, Hurricane MkIV, Mosquito with 57mm cannon, Beaufighter MK 1 with the 40mm cannons if you have it
US - P39s and P63s
Japan - Ki-109 (75 mm at 1.7 lol), Ki-102.
Bro that first kill was beautiful!!
I would like to see more Swedish tanks in video since a lot of them went in Br like Strv 101 and Udess 33
Seconded, though I'd like to see how he handles something like the pvkv m/43
@@volteer1332 i hate that TD Pvkv II is so much better
@@volteer1332 main thing i dislike about m43 is the lack of turret which Pvkv II has
@Spinosaur_32 but the turret is so slow and the magnification so high that it can't (and shouldn't) brawl and it can't peek corners because of how bouncy it is when stopping
Smoke is the most underrated thing in Warthunder.
It's so good for flanking it's one of the first modifications I unlock.
Man that first team was absolutely clueless... I wish I could fight teams like that
I forget which episode it was where you saw that player name "Bitofapickle" and laughed so hard about it. I've been searching for it and can't find it. Hearing you say it again in this one brought back memories.
This thing has been in my lineup for ages, and eventually became the lineup (basically)
Odd here's a video idea. =
combo low tier British tree. you take out EITHER/BOTH the Crusader II or/and the SARC mkVI (2pdr) with the objective of rushing for a early game flank
YOU MUST get a minimum of 3 kills with the ground vehicle to allow yourself to get into the premium Corsair F mk II to then attempt to provide effective CAS.
you are allowed ONE BACKUP per vehicle per match
good luck!😁and welcome back
Omg, another movie. Thank you!
My ideas for OddBawz:
*G91 with a Mixed AA-20/AS-20 load for hunting Helis and Drones along with Ground Pounding.
T-80 bettet
@@sanmiguel4774 he has already covered it though, he hasn't made a video on the T-72B3.
ODDBAWZ PLZ DO THE STRV 74 OR PVKV M/43 (1963) OR BOTH
Seconded on the m/43, it's still strangely the tank I have with the most kills
Is there a reason to use the stock ammo BR-421B over the unlockable BR-421D? I've always fired the 421D with the 100mm because of the pen
I was searching for this, but all I see are vehicle suggestions. I need answers :(
you should try the Vickers Mk.7. It's a hypermobile british tank
Even better, try the T-26E, it’s a very nice and reactive British tank armed with a Russian 45mm and given to the Finnish
Odd!!! You're back!!! I've been missing your videos! Hope all is well in your life
20:58 and that, is my friend, what we call stalinuim
Great video!! You should play more Chinese tanks like the type 59!
Love the videos, glad you're back!
I was legit looking for gameplay of this tank and couldn’t find anything since I didn’t know if I should pick it up and you came out with this video.
Hell yeah, more Sweden. Always more Sweden.
Bawz I'd love you to take the rbt 5 to a higher tier match it's so much fun or the katyushka
Hands down my favourite Soviet tank. So much fun playing the thing.
Pleasure to watch, old school feeling!
I too man.. i use the D too
The Soviets knew the 100mm was the superior anti-armour gun, but they also knew the majority of the time they'd be engaging infantry emplacements with PaKs in support, and the 122mm had considerably greater HE performance.
Dayum bro i have never saw a t34 with that HUGE barrel
Odd you should check out the Crusader III it is a *very* underrated medium, and the gun feels really good to use thanks to a decent stabiliser
I dont know if already did a video on it but zis-30 pretty funny to play even at 5.3 and 6.3 uptier it gets throug some panzers :D I know its not a premium and its open top but still very funny to play
object 120 video please!
I usually only use smoke when I get in a sticky situation where I am too close to their spawn and I use it to get back to the middle of the map. BUT ONLY IF MY TEAM ISN'T BY ME
I also frustrates me when someone gets shot and they instantly smoke, but then don't relocate and die to the thing that shot them.
(tl;dr if you play one of these tanks in your next video It would make my week)
Try the T29 with it's BR changes. I think it's been bumped up too high, but still performs okay.
Hey odd you should really use the obj 906 it git moved to 8.0 we wanna hear your opinion on it
Revisit the SAV 20.12.48 or other lowtier funzies? :) Good to see you're back on TH-cam, I missed the content a lot :)
Correction for the history lesson. Former Segway Owner/CEO, Jimi Heselden died. Inventor is Dean Kamen. Still alive. But great video anyway. lol
