Work shift: Open 24/7. Plot your own schedule.
1. English Proficiency Test
composed of forty - (40) items.
You just need a little knowledge about grammar rules and vocabulary
2. System Check (2mbps upload; 1mbps download)
NativeCamp has its own system provided for the first phase of the check.
There will be a short interview about yourself. Make sure to have a quiet working place. ESL Teaching experience might be required.
3. Demo Lesson
You will be provided with videos on actual lessons that you will just imitate during the demo lesson.
Go online and wait for the staff to call you.
You will be given a lesson topic during the call.
Be confident. Smile. Use hand gestures and power words (Good job, Excellent, etc.). Use the chatbox.

Thank you for posting this video! I am newly hired to Native Camp and will be teaching my first class soon. I agree, I do have years of experience teaching ESL students. However, Native Camp's platform is (obviously) completely different from what I am accustomed to and I am not used to reading off a script. Came across your video today. I had my first class today and it helped me to understand better. Also, I was not able to go into 'stand-by' until the 5-minute mark. Found out that I have to apply to be 'sudden' teacher.
Sorry to hear that. Did you already apply to be a sudden teacher? For a sudden lesson you can go on standby anytime you want. For a booked class make sure to be on stand by 5minutes before the class and not 10minutes. Happy teaching!

It's my 4th day working as a teacher and I still haven't had any students come to my class :( I was on standby everyday for 4 hours. I'm currently thinking of giving up :(
Improve your teaching profile, intro text/video, add pics, get all the teaching badges, etc... Check the peak hour info on the Schedule, it could be that your opening your sched off peak. Maintain a high rating.
I'm brand new. My introductory video is being approved. The only thing I can say is, can you share your screen when describing it. I'm a visual person, and need to SEE what you are doing, when you are describing. Thank you.

I wasn't expecting that bcoz there are many newbies pala na umabot ng 2 to 4 days bago nagkaron ng first student. Na-share nila dito sa TH-cam. Thank you so much syo ha. Naku malaking impluwensya mo sa success ng first day ko. Ninerbyous lang ako sa dalawa naging student ko kaya mukang hindi ko nagawa ng tama kc wala silang ibnigay na rating at review e. Hey 👋 Thanks for this informative video. I have my first booked lessons on Sunday. One student has booked 2 back to back lessons. Would I need to just do 50 in the classroom or do I have to exit the first class and re-enter the 2nd class? Sorry, this is my first time working on Native Camp 🙂
Each class is 25 minutes. There is a timer at the upper part of the platform so the system automatically cuts the class after 25min.

there's a schedule for the system check. I'm not sure what's the schedule in your country though. Try in the morning, wait for the clickable button. best of luck!

how do teachers prepare for classes on nativecamp? we need only prepare once the lesson is booked? and how do we prepare for a sudden class?
No preparation for sudden classes that's why you need to get yourself familiar with all the teacher materials you have by checking the Learning Kit. Most lessons have teacher's guide/fonts in red that you just have to read during the lesson so it's easier.

One more question. I wear glasses, and the Administrators told me to take off my glasses, because the students need to see my eyes. WHAT TO DO? I need my glasses in order to read the text on the computer. I have a Mac Desktop and my camera is built into the computer monitor---so the camera is directly in front of me, which can create glare. HOW TO SOLVE THIS, and do you keep your glasses on when conducting a class? Thank you!

hi teacher , i was on standby for a sudden lesson for my first time, so i left the page to fix my internet on coming back, i saw something saying that i should a messege to a student that we just had a class, it is a bit confussing for me cus i dint see when she call me, but i later had another class with another student, and it was ok so i dont know what actually happen pls advice me
Probably a student entered your class while you were fixing your internet coz you are still on standby.

Hi teach! This is such a big help. But I have questions po as a newbie hehe. If mag sstanby mode ako for sudden classes, can I also open my schedule to available at the same time? and pag mag sstand by mode ako for an hour para sa sudden class, can I also change it to Not Stand by pag gusto ko munang mag break? I hope you could help me with this concern teach. Thank you :)
You edit ur sched at least 10min ata un before the time n like mo as long as visible pa ung available or off.
You handle ur own sched so it's ok to close ur slots whenever u like it

You can check the peak hour info on the Notice tab. Just done with my class for today and I think it's okay to open lessons now. You can also try from 1am-5am so there'd be no officebased teachers.

@@deszhaalonzo8699 baka nakita mo lng ung NC beware na fb group. Kung di nagbibigay ng salary di ako tatagal ng almost 3yrs. At cguro napasara na sana ung company or na DOLE na. Let's admit, kahit sa ibang company, mas mareklamo at sisiraan pa company ng mga employee na pasaway at wala naman nacocontribute sa company or di nmn nagpeperform.

Hello teacher. I don't get why every time I try to click stand by, a pop up message that says "YOU CANNOT GO ON STAND BY MODE SINCE YOU HAVE NOT OPENED YOUR SLOTS YET" .. when in fact I have my sched plotted already.
If your first class is a booked one, you can go on standby 5min before the lesson time. However, if it's a sudden, the system would only allow you to go on standby at the exact plotted time. Please also check if you're on PST.

On a sudden class, when a student comes in, how will you know the lesson they chose? Will the lesson automatically pop up on your screen or you will be the one to look for it on the Text/Learning Material Section?

Forgot the plan but I am paying 1300 per month. For the data consumption I havent checked per day but my monthly is less than 100gb
Teacher I can see the egg trays. Are they really effective. My neighbor could sometimes be noisy and my headset cant even cancel the sound.

Same here. I already acquired lots of badges before I started my first standby mode. Because upon researching, they said that it would be easy to get a student if you have a lot of badges. But in my case, after acquiring those badges, I still have yet to have my first class. Been waiting for hours already :( I am feeling discouraged to be honest. Really have no choice but to wait.
Any recommendation on how can I get more bookings like what time should I be on standby mode and open schedule slot to give myself higher chance of getting a student? Answers would be very much appreciated 🥺

Hello , I still haven't had booked classes. Do I click on standby on the same button as if I was to go for a sudden lesson , or is there a separate button in the schedule section?
And also if I open let's say 3 hours worth of slots , 6 slots-half hour each and I go and have a sudden lesson , can it happen that someone books a class in some of opened slots or are booked classes only done for the next day and so on?
Open a slot and wait for a student to book your lesson or you may go on standby for a sudden class if no one booked your class yet. There's a notification sound for a reserved class. If you're a non-Filipino teacher, I think you have a different procedure for a booked/sudden lesson teacher, send an inquiry to our admin for more info. Thanks!

I love doing this, but I just don't understand how do I get prepared for sudden lessons? Doing free conversation is fine, but any time I need to teach a lesson I am stressed out because I have to familiarize myself with the lesson while also teaching it. Thanks.

Hi Teach. Johanna. I m a teacher in nc as well. and im just wondering you already had the Callan badge knowing that you just started teaching Nc.
I have been teaching at NC for almost 3yrs that's why perhaps I was chosen for the 1st batch of homebased teachers to have a Callan trainer. I dont think it is offered to newbies, 2nd batch of trainings will be soon. And thats for Elite teachers, a bit tenured teachers.

Actually 2 silang magkasunod na class it happens while taking my first class a notification appears that I need to stand by for my second class and it really bothers my student especially ako since first day ko kinabahan ako😢Please advice what to do.

Yes, it's also a 25-min class. The pay is less than the booked class. For foreign teachers, I'm not sure how much though. You can send an inquiry to our admin to know your rates or check your payment tab.

For booked yes but for sudden no. But you can always check all the textbooks on the text tab and the learning kit on how to teach them
