    Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas! We're back with a new episode from Kodiak, Alaska. We glassed up some brown bears from the boat in addition to some more fox and some Sitka Blacktail Deer. We hope you all have enjoyed this series so far! Logan is killing the edits so show the man some love.

      Hushin I been to, worked at the areas you were at, Larsen bay, zachar bay, uyak bay, spiridon bay. You got to see those areas of Alaska in the summer! Different world! No place compares to Alaska! I think you that have been here know that.

    This is one of my favorite all time series from Hush! I will absolutely have to hand it to Logan. You have absolutely crushed it with this series and the whole season! I said it earlier in the season that the editing has been brought to the next level this year! I'll admit that I usually skip the intro after seeing it a time or two, but with this Alaska series I can't help but watch it every time! The shots are amazing and beautiful! The banking plane over the Alaskan mountains is an amazing shot! I am looking forward to every next episode with so much anticipation for what's next! Awesome job guys, absolutely awesome!

    Logies killing it with the footage! That black tail buck and the pictures with the sal and the Cubs were rad! Keep up the good work boys!

    The diversity of animals that you're able to hunt is amazing! Those deer look like they are a bit thicker than mulies or whitetails. Those ducks are going to taste amazing!

      Anyone who has eaten many different deer will tell you that our Sitka blacktail deer are the best tasting by far. Know why? Their diet is unique, they eat seaweed and local vegetation. Also this deer is only native to southeast coastal Alaska and northern coastal British Columbia. The only other place you find them is Kodiak, surrounding islands of afognak and raspberry and prince William sound where they were introduced in the 1920’s or30’s. Amazing area. By the way, I watched from a lodge I worked at on a Kodiak remote lodge a deer swim approx three miles across the far bay shore to our area, make it to our beach and stand on the shore for about 15 minutes recovering from that swim! Also have heard from local fishermen actually seeing killer whales attack these deers while swimming on Kodiak and southeast Alaska inside passage! 😉👍

    The few thumbs down ones are jealous ones of what we got in Alaska! No place even compares to awesome Alaska. Simple! You guys should see that area in summer. So green, lush, so different then winter.

    It is crazy how thick that country is and how difficult it is to move. Like you said hard to describe. One step hard ground and the next is a bog you sink up to your knees. Loving the series!

    • @troyottosen8722
      @troyottosen8722 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris, remember this is Alaska winter! Imagine this area in summer, so lush, thick vegetation until you get up above the tree line, it’s so thick of alder brush over your head! The only trails are bear trails and same deer trails! No visibility and that’s were the bears rest during the heat of the day! I have to this area of Kodiak many times, you can walk along these bear trails and actually smell the strong stench of where a big male has pissed on an area! 😉😳🤪

      Derik, I am lucky to actually salmon fish on rivers in this area of Kodiak and “share” the rivers at close range with these awesome brown bears all summer! Kodiak is a magical, totally different world! Even for Alaskan standards! Truly amazing place!👍

    Login for your info. A Cross fox is just another color phase of red fox. They are really nice looking.

      You beat me to that comment. Most people make that mistake. They also aren't as rare as most people think. They make up roughly 25 percent of the world's red fox population.

    I never hunt without sticks in the UK. I find quad sticks are good for 200m. They allow for much better accuracy and therefore ethical, clean shots. I do shoot prone any chance I get. The only time I don't use quad sticks is on the open hill in Scotland where I carry a single stick for glassing and safety.

      Rodney, you think this is beautiful? You got to see Kodiak in summer! It’s nickname is the emerald island because of it’s lush, unique green. Us longtime Alaskan’s call it Jurassic park! It’s so pristine and raw, no place compares to Alaska! Simple!😉👍

    Where you took the shot was more than 90 yards you walked about 10 yards from the [point you took the shot from then used your range finders... Which is twice the effective 00 buckshot distance mmmm I wonder why you missed
