      These people think that since they live so close to our border, it's OK to sneak in. It's like saying, your next door neighbor has a right to break into your house and live there since he's so close by.

      It’s not always easy for everyone. My dad came here legally, but it took him two tries. I have other family member that have tried 3 times and still weren’t eligible.
      Also, my mother came here illegally. (Back when it was easier to actually stay). She ended up getting her green card through her employers, then got residency, got citizenship in 2010. Has her own business now. NOT ALL ILLEGALS ARE WHAT YOU THINK/ THE MEDIA TELLS YOU THEY ARE LIKE

      We paid $5,000 or more for my husband’s immigration from overseas which included interviews and medical exams and going back and forth to the consulate cuz it was in a different city. These people from central Amer want everything for free and not to be deported.

      That is all the American people are asking for. I hope it turns out well and resolves itself quickly for you. If so many resources were not being spent on the border jumping trash we would have more resources to process legitimate claims such as yours.

      They also expect us to use their language and are turning cities into 3rd world shitholes by packing 30 people into a two bedroom home, paying no taxes and sending what they make illegally back out of the country. I have family that has gone through what you have and they embrace and embody what it is to be an American.

      The problem with Latin America is that most of their governments are socialistic and socialism believes things like immigration are a human right. It's not. Just like driving a car is a privilege so is entering a country who's language, culture and traditions are foreign. Just like driving a car you have to prove you're capable of following the laws to maintain a safe standard on the road so to is our immigration laws.

      +Joshua Chamberlain What i meant by that was, before america try's to take care of the world, u have to properly take care of it's own people first.
      for example, would u allow a complete stranger into ur own home, to live with u and ur family? even if they told u they're an illegal, would u still allow them to stay in ur home? even when u know the potential risks? I don't know about u, but my family's safety would come first above all others.
      not to mention...how is it even fair to immigrants thats came into america LEGALLY? my family came from a war torn country with a corrupted leader, and in the end not all of them made it to the states (even with years and years of waiting in line).

      No “line” is available for the vast majority of unauthorized immigrants.
      Immigration to the United States on a temporary or permanent basis is generally limited to three different routes: employment, family reunification, or humanitarian protection. Each of these possibilities is highly regulated and subject to numerical limitations and eligibility requirements. As a result, most unauthorized immigrants do not have the necessary family or employment relationships and often cannot access humanitarian protection, such as refugee or asylum status. This means that no matter how long they have been in the United States, most unauthorized immigrants have no path to legal status. Even those who pay taxes, work hard, and contribute to their communities, have no way to "get in line" unless Congress were to create a new path to legal status.

The poem was great for a young, growing nation, not a mature nation that is overwhelmed with too many people and too much homelessness. We have enough. Let the poem go to another country that is growing. We no longer are.

      @@Ambtran2023 By breaking the law and crossing the border illegally, unauthorized immigrants are in effect "robbing the bank" and gaining access to gov't programs that they wouldn't be able to get in their corrupt home countries. But they shouldn't be allowed access to programs like food stamps, because they entered illegally ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting politely on line. Duh! I'm sure it would not have been easy, but there are hundreds of advocates that would have helped them make that a reality.

      BEN MAXWELL - Good day to you. (I believe your heart is in the right place.) This is a serious question, not meant to be adversarial. It sounds like you're under the (false) impression that EVERYONE who fills out some forms and passes a background check, proving they're NOT terrorists or criminals, will or should, be granted citizenship.
      Immigration is not only character restricted, there are numerical limits. Limited land and water means only a limited number of human beings (we are all resource consumers) can live in one geographic area. Economic prosperity depends on BALANCED land to labor to consumer ratios, which mass immigration threatens. If 200 - 300 million people arrive within the next few years, will their presence cause NO problems for current residents as long as they come in "legally" or "get legal" once here? Seriously. Thank you.

      Undocumented and illegal are not the same thing. They are legal terms in US law that has since entered into common american english. Calling illegals undocumented is a new political tactic, but actually refers to a different category of people.
      Most undocumented immigrants are illegal, but technically not all undocumented non-citizens in the country are illegals. Many illegals are undocumented but probably not most.
      The best way to understand, since I can't remember the definition of undocumented alien is, is to look it up on the USA's border and custom's website.

Usually it is a dead U.S. citizen, but if they want to pay more, they can buy a stolen identity of a living ,breathing, good credit citizen whose credit won't be good much longer. You don't hear about those stories very often because that doesn't fit the "Main Stream Media's" agenda, but ,believe it folks , thousands of good hard working American citizens have their credit ruined every day by illegal immigrants.

      They're sneaking into our country, which is no different. They're working without visas. And I find it strange that they are favoring tax laws over immigration laws. And I wouldn't mind them working, paying taxes and rent, and building homes if they just came in here the legal way.
      Let me ask you another question: Do you think it is fair to allow undocumented immigrants to live here when others who have followed the rules are still waiting to come in?

    • @x3HeartDino
      @x3HeartDino 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nicholas Johnson Isn’t paying taxes what being a citizen is all about? Well, undocumented immigrants do just that but don’t get any of the benefits of being a full fledged citizen. The majority of people sneaking into the country are impoverished, in poor living conditions, etc. what makes you think they can afford the fees that go into becoming documented? Or even getting a visa. Living in poverty here in the US is 10x better than in those troubled countries. I’m not saying it’s 100% okay because of these circumstances but I feel like if it wasn’t so dang hard to step foot into this country, we wouldn’t have this issue anymore.

    • @nicholasemjohnson47
      @nicholasemjohnson47 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@x3HeartDino I know, and it breaks my heart that poverty and crime run rampant in Central America, and I wish something could be done about it and our Immigration System. They are serious problems that need to be solved.
      But at the same time, we have to be very careful about who comes in, because we have no way of knowing who is safe, and who is dangerous.
      And no, paying taxes doesn't make you a citizen. You have to pass a test and take an Oath of Allegiance. And in California, many undocumented immigrants actually do vote there.

    I’m in Houston. This person has no clue what ruin this city is in because of this issue. Sorry this is a one sided argument . This is a sanctuary city that is crime ridden. People wanting to come here legally have to take the steps and those that just come over seem to get rewarded. I know someone who’s relative was a Houston cop and was killed by a drunk illegal who was deported 5x and the supporters still holler how great the bad guy was and why he deserved to be here illegally. Try that argument on my friends folks who don’t have their relative . Sadly this story is common all over the us. This better life thing is something they all say. Follow the steps and the law and see how it goes. This video is nothing but a trump bashing, even if he’s not president anymore . Houston is a liberal city but Texas is a conservative state . This outsiders flawed attempt of political swaying is humorous and he’s quoting the Statue of Liberty 🗽 like it’s some sort of law . It’s a symbol, bet he’s not even an American. Those of us that are law abiding and had ancestors immigrate here legally (mine from Spain ) don’t have much sympathy . Nobody had any for our ancestors . BEING IN A TINY LITTLE BOAT WITH AT LEAST OVER 300 PEOPLE, NOT KNOWING IF THEY'LL BE DEAD OR ALIVE. THEY'VE CHOSEN AMERICA. FIRST THING THEY DID WAS, TO ATTEND ADULT ENGLISH SCHOOL, TO LEARN THE BASICS. AFTER 5 YEARS IN AMERICA, THEY'VE PASSED THEIR CITIZENSHIP EXAM & SAVED UP ENOUGH MONEY. THEN MADE A TRIP TO NEW YORK, TO VISIT THE STATUE OF LIBERTY. THEY CAME HOME WITH 2 AMERICAN FLAGS & A STATUE OF LIBERTY. THEY ARE TRUE LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. MY PARENTS HAVE LEARNED TO ADJUST & APPRECIATE THIS HOME OF THE "FREE & BRAVE". AMERICA IS THEIR HOME. WE ARE ALL HUMANS, GOD PUT US ON THIS EARTH TO WORK FOR A LIVING, NOT FREELOADS OFF ON EACH OTHER. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, "GOD" WILL ALWAYS LEAD THE WAY. IF IT'S NOT NOW, EVENTUALLY IT'S GONNA BE LATER. TRUMP 2020 !!!

      Well said...The problem with this stupidly named group DREAMERS...is they act like they are entitled...to what I have not a clue...they have chosen NOT to become citizens..in 10, 20 or 30 years...they forfeit ANY rights...they are truly ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS because they chose to be...do NOT BUY THESE Soros/Democratically orchestrated demonstrations...Send in ICE to every protest...

      Scince you mentioned God do you think that He thought it was right that the first white european settlers to this land, (Which were allowed to come make this their home for free), murdered 95% of hispanic peoples ancestors being the original inhabitans of it simply because they wanted to take over it and not have to coexist with them?
