at some point you were mentioning the mana cost on warwick's Q. well, that's part of the reason why warwick should literally not max his spells. W has diminishing returns, and with the mana cost increase, Q straight up is worse at last ranks (you only increase slightly the percent hp damage and percent healing). in general it's best to put 3 points into Q and W, then max E. for lane, i like to alternate between ranking up Q and W just so that i can keep the lower mana cost on Q for a bit longer (not as much of an issue if you went ring). W can be worth maxing for the surprising fast roams. i've seen some high elo mains only placing 2 points into the Q. were you would want to go max Q is for bullying your grasp matchups. fiora, camille, riven, shaco, singed, and a few others. those who will short trade you on repeat and/or are too hard to extend trades against. maxing E is the most effective, even on a damage build. only thing that changes are cooldown and damage reduction. flat reduction in cooldown means increasing returns. flat increase in damage reduction means increasing returns too (you're not increasing the damage reduction, you're lowering the damage taken). even on a glass cannon build, 55% damage reduction means you are slightly more than doubling your effective hp (and effective healing) when you use it at the right time.
True, i watched warwick main with 80% wr in emerald, and he went 3 points into w and then maxing q (q at 1 lvl does insane damage with grasp, and literally no champ can stand this) didn't think about maxing e tho, seems interesting idea.
@@MrSzczawik2121 at various points E maxing was trendy. toward the end of last season, the meta was maxing W taking a second point in Q at level 8, then maxing E. you should definitely not just max E first though. you need damage from the first few ranks of your other spells, and E is not as valuable until you have some defensive stats and have some opportunities to use it multiple times in one fight. E max is at its best in the toplane against high damage matchups with a long all in like tryndamere or mundo.
@@niscent_ tryndamere is one of the easiest matchups for grasp ww. Phage + def Boots and he's gone. Just finished one game in which i pushed trynda out of lane, because i froze the wave perfectly. He was 4 lvls down. The only issue is illaoi. And that's when e max might work
@@MrSzczawik2121 if for one reason or another (such as jungle interference) trynda don't fall behind in lane, your E will help a lot to still fight through his R. on illaoi it's a massive game changer too. allows you to safely walk away when she R withotu loosing too much health, or when in front with a high damage build, it makes it easier to not get killed while you kill her through the R.
The Rek'Sai changes push her towards being more of a tank/frontline kind of champion, instead of the burst-heavy diver she was previously. Her passive heal now scales with her max health (instead of a flat number), her Unborrowed Q no longer has base damage and scales with her total AD, and likewise, her Unborrowed E no longer has any base damage and just deals a big chunk of %max health damage. Long story short: none of her older Lethality/Bruiser hybrid builds work, and she mainly just wants boatloads of Health with, maybe, a Titanic for a bit of AD. Your mileage may vary on how well you think the changes have worked out.
