Gotta put globes on guard mode they break units so fast that they end up chasing them into the melee scrum half the time and getting themselves smashed for free !
I wondering isnt guard mode better in general? not even for range units, but also mele. I catch myself many times that my mele infantry in blob fight chase fleeing units and just run into other unit and keep running in place when enemy slash them, they dont start fighting when chase something
@@FightHour I only use it on blasting charge units which should essentially be treated as ranged units until they run out of ammo. I suppose if you are doing a defensive formation guard mode would make sense, but I'm usually not giving them attack orders in the first place so it doesn't matter.
I love how Turin said that skave tend to have even matches and rarel win easily, and then proceeds to have one of the biggest stomps i've seen all season against nurgle!
Flensing ruin is a single entity specialty spell. It does mediocre damage against monstrous targets, and pathetic damage against cav/infantry. So even when you hit 3-4 targets, it is much less damage than you would expect if none of them are single entities.
28:00 Part of me wishes that Greenskins too a bigger than usual hit to leadership from their leader dying/routing. As every time I read about a battle involving greenskins (in fantasy and 40k!) it normally ends with "...and then the warboss was defeated and the rest of the greenskins ran away."
They're already a low LD faction so that would be a massive nerf. -16/-10 is a huge hit The only way I would see this work if they had some sort of watered down version of By Our Blood that is intrinistically tied to the lord being on the battlefield and having a positive LD bar. Also WH40 Orks are very different from fantasy Greenskins. They are basically unbreakable until their warboss dies. In addition, their technology stops working when they are wavering because their technology only works when enough orcs believe in it, it's why red bullets actually fly faster and their massive void contraptions don't fall apart.
They never run away, they start infighting to see who's the new warboss. It would make more sense if the death of the warboss made some of the units become uncontrollable temporarily.
Keep in mind the Triads and the death runners also remove a ton of armor. I love to use one unit to hit high armor units while they are bogged down by chaff. Nothing feels better than getting death runners on the back of a unit of chaos warriors or chosen.
Hi Turin, those TK skeleton chariots both games just absolutely melted the teeth breakers, second game they were literally dead and still melted them. Worth a test to see if they are bugged
Honestly, you had some really great Skaven play. I think in the last matchup, even more rat ogres or a doomflayer (as you said) would have been helpful, over the rattlers. Overall, really fun tournament. Thank you for sharing with us Turin :)
i believe in the final match, the teethbreaker was a downturn on your side wasting too much resource instead of capture weight, meanwhile you forgot to unsummon ogre, which result in Outerregion outmuscle you with chariot and Nehek warrior
Would a good tournament format be a single faction one-list format (i.e. - you have to take the same build every match). Would be interesting to see what lists would look like if players had to try to bring a little bit of everything. Or would such a format favor certain factions too much?
Flensing Ruin is a good spell but ONLY vs single entities. It doesn't really do blob punishment. You're better off just warp lighting infantry or cav blobs. And you may still want to bring the Avalance Mortar instead of the Council Guard even though the mortar is hard to protect. It forces your opponent to deal with it.
First of all, Stephan Segull would be greasus. The most useless of all lords. Haha and also, is there a match up that you would take skarbrando in? He is my absolute fave Lord but idk when he would be viable. Ahha
In the finals, to get 1 kill on that arty, i dont think that specific unit trade of 1 for 1 was worth it since his arty unit is so cheap vs what Turin used to kill it
Skaven vs Norsca - 10:40
Skaven vs Warrior of Chaos - 45:10
Skaven vs Vampire Coast - 1:10:00
Skaven vs Tomb Kings - 1:42:10
Semi - 2:12:40
finals - 2:41:10

@@shiggydiggy6847 Yea without giving attack order you dont have this problem xD guard mode only works with attack order for mele units I think

They just blundered lord really!
The games were so good. Domination Total War is such a niche but it truly deserves wider recognition, it's so good.

I love seeing stuff get Last Samurai-ed
Man really good skaven play! I belive the ratling guns was very bad, difficult to protect and do not enough damage. Skaven in the SFT would be nice …

I’m from Modesto!!! Use to live in del rio. In Texas now but was raised out there.
Rats, We're rats, we're the rats
Always great to watch your streams.

Really fun watching your skaven
watched this live when u played Outerregion from his percpective, was a great match
That's a lot of rats.

Cool to see Skaven, but I wanted to see Avalanche Mortars.

Turin-Boy Yes-Yes
Evil laugh? Look no further than Zhatan trailer.
Nice games! Though it hurts my ratty heart that we don't get any of the fun moulder big bois (Hellpits and mutants rat ogres).

I wonder if a single unit of warp grinders would be good vs TK Chariot/settra play. Free net and flense....
yes-YES!
Very sad to never see bretonnia
amazing performance!
How do you even start playing like this? I suck at total war but it looks fun as can be.

not enough unholy clamor. where was the great bell! NOT ENOUGH BELL. the horned rats needed more representation here.
MOAR MOAR
Rats must Ruse
I think unless for the kill or w crit fight flenzing ruin wasted on toddy he just heals through maybe wizard or fo cav fights better
